CLOVER - Mr. Paul Christopher Thomas, 30, of 1398 Winterhaven Road died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clover Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Dale Turner officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York.
A native of Charlotte, Mr. Thomas was a son of Ben Thomas and Beatrice Luzio Thomas. He was a student at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte and was a member of Clover Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are three brothers, Bob Thomas of Stanley, N.C., David Thomas of Charlotte and Doug Thomas of Clover; and his sister, Debbi Thomas Gamble of Concord, N.C.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 tonight at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Memorials may be made to the Arbor Foundation.

Katherine Whiteside
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Katherine Alexander Whiteside, 77, of Ridgewood Lane died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Westminster Towers.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First ARP Church, with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Blumer officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery.
A native of Statesville, N.C., Mrs. Whiteside was a daughter of the late Allen Fred Alexander Sr., and Margaret Willis Alexander. She was a member and the first director of Christian education at First ARP Church. A graduate of Erskine College, she earned a master's degree from Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Va. She was a member of the Allegra Music Club and Catawba Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was co-owner and office manager at Whiteside Realty and Insurance. She was the widow of John Bradley Whiteside Sr.
Surviving are her son, John Bradley Whiteside Jr. of Rock Hill, and her brother, A. Fred Alexander Jr., of Raleigh, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Bass Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to First ARP Church, 201 E. White St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Lynn Boka-Wright
YORK - Lynn Renee Boka-Wright, 48, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Columbia Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in York, with George Pugh officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York.
A native of Philadelphia, Mrs. Boka-Wright was a daughter of Sallie Wright of York. She was a management assistant at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her son, Phillip Wright; her daughter, Geneen Boka; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 301 Sharon Road.
The body may be viewed from 6 to 7 tonight at Wright Funeral Home in York.

Berry Holly Jr.
CHESTER - Mr. Berry Holly Jr. of 564 Brendale Drive died Friday, June 8, 2001.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chester Memorial Gardens. The wake will be 7 tonight at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St.
A native of Chester, Mr. Holly was a son of Fannie B. Johnson Holly of Chester and the late Berry Holly Sr.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his son, Berry L. Holly of Chester; his daughter, Bonita Shropshire of Columbia; three brothers, James Holly, Elam Holly and Robert Holly, all of Chester; and his granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at the home of Fannie B. Holly, 798 Meadowbrook Road.
Leevy's Funeral Home Taylor Street Chapel is in charge.

Andrew Yarbrough
GREAT FALLS - Mr. Andrew Nathan Yarbrough, 74, of 211 St. Michael Ave., died Monday, June 11, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Great Falls Baptist Church, with the Rev. Elton Lane officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Yarbrough was a son of the late Frank Nathan Yarbrough and Aline Campbell Yarbrough.
He worked at the J.P. Stevens Co. mill until it closed and later retired from Duracell Co. He was a member of Great Falls First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Ready Sunday school class. He graduated from Great Falls High School in 1963 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Great Falls Masonic Lodge No. 277.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel G. Yarbrough; three sons, Randall Yarbrough of Chester, and Kenneth Yarbrough and Timothy Yarbrough, both of Great Falls; his brother, Shirley Yarbrough of Columbia; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Dantzler-Baker Funeral home is in charge.

Louis Lombardo
FORT MILL - Mr. Louis Lombardo, 72, of 984 Cranberry Circle died Monday, June 11, 2001, at home.
Arrangements will be announced by Fort Mill Funeral Home.

ROCK HILL - Richard Page, 64, of 337-A N. Jones Ave. died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at 308 Leige St.
Arrangements will be announced by Parker Funeral Home.

Robert Hegler
LANCASTER - Mr. Robert Boyce "R.B." Hegler, 87, of 606 North Wylie St. died Monday, June 11, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Cauthen Funeral Home Lancaster Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Barnes officiating. Burial will be private.
A native of Lancaster, Mr. Hegler was a son of the late Rupert B. "Bert" Hegler and Mamie Arant Hegler.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of R.B. Hegler Grocery Store. He was a member of the Stafford Graham American Legion Post No. 31 and was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Monia T. Hegler of Lancaster; his son, William B. Hegler of Lancaster; two daughters, Brenda Hinson of Ashe-ville, N.C., and Sandra Noe of Columbia; his sister, Helen Parker of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednes-day at Cauthen Funeral Home Lancaster Chapel and other times at home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 300 South Market St., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Ella Banks
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ella C. Banks, 78, of 433 Blanche Circle died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Nazareth Baptist Church, with Dr. John T. McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Nazareth Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of York County, Mrs. Banks was a daughter of the late Emmett Caldwell Sr. and Minnie Caldwell. She attended York County public schools and was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church.
Surviving are her brother, Emmett Caldwell Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and her sister, Janie Flood of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Parker Funeral Home.

Carole Buchanan
CHARLESTON - Mrs. Carole Ann Michelson Buchanan of Charleston died Tuesday, June 12, 2001.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Saint Paul, Kansas.
A native of New Martinsville, W.Va., Mrs. Buchanan was a daughter of Irvin Michelson and Ida Michelson, both of Aberdeen, Md. She was a bookkeeper and secretary for Comercial Data Systems. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Richard "Buck" Buchanan of Charleston; two daughters, Debra Hurst of Rock Hill and Karen Walls of Blue Springs, Mo.; her brother, Michael Michelson of Anniston, Ala.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Elizabeth King
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth A. "Lib" King of 210 Epting St. died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.S. Sanders Sr. officiating and the Revs. Hattie Foster and Earl Morrison and Evangelist Sandra Morrison assisting. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of York County, Mrs. King was a daughter of the late Thomas Minton and Louise Kennedy Minton. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and attended the York County public schools. She graduated from Emmett Scott High School.
Surviving are her husband, David King Jr.; her daughter, Cassandra K. Douglas of Rock Hill; four brothers, Thomas Minton, Johnny Minton, Willie E. Minton and Ernest Lee King, all of Rock Hill; six sisters, Alise Mobley of McConnells, and Willie Mae Kennedy, Catherine Kennedy, Fannie Hinton, Alice Miller and Mattie Nash Hall, all of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.

Thomas Sumter
CHESTER - Mr. Thomas James Sumter, 100, formerly of 105 Cemetery St., of Chester County Nursing Center died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at the Chester County Nursing Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joseph H. Neal officiating and the Revs. Ronald McClurkin and Jacob German assisting. The Rev. Jesse Boulware will give the eulogy. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Manning, Mr. Sumter was a son of the late Turner Sumter and Mary Tindal Sumter. He joined the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., and retired from Lock Joint Pipe Co. in Wharton, N.J.
Surviving are his daughter, Anna Sumter Boulware of Chester; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his caretaker, Ed Delaney of Vauxhall, N.J.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St, Chester and other times at home.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at King's Funeral Home. 135 Cemetery St.
The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Elizabeth Reed
DAVENPORT, Fla. - Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson Reed, 95, died Monday, June 11, 2001.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. June 27 at Duxbury Hall, The Mayflower, 1620 Mayflower Court, Winter Park, Fla.
A service for the family will be July 22 in Easley.
A native of Pickens County, Mrs. Reed was a daughter of James Monroe Johnson and Tallullah Haseltine Wyatt. She was a leader in church, civic , historical and genealogical societies. As a journalist, she traveled to China, South America and Europe. She was a staff member of the Haines City (Fla.) Herald from 1971 to 1983 and was a Women's Page editor of the Winter Haven Herald from 1959 to 1967. She wrote book reviews about historical figures for historical and church groups. She was an English Department faculty member at Haines City Junior High School from 1967 to 1970.
She attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill and the George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tenn. She was a founding member of the Haines City Chapter at the American Association of Retired Persons and received a 1989 Community Service Award from the AARP given to outstanding volunteers. She was active in the Davenport, Haines City and Winter Haven Women's Clubs. She served weekly as a volunteer at the Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City, with 20 years service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Haines City. She was the widow of Wilbur Kirke Reed.
Surviving are her daughter, the Rev. Dr. Diana Reed Jackson of Maitland, Fla.; her sister, Eloise J. Boggs of Davenport, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. June 30, 2001, at Lake Saint Charles Farms in Davenport.
Carey Hand Garden Chapel in Orlando, Fla., is in charge.
