ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth A. "Lib" King of 210 Epting St. died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.S. Sanders Sr. officiating and the Revs. Hattie Foster and Earl Morrison and Evangelist Sandra Morrison assisting. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of York County, Mrs. King was a daughter of the late Thomas Minton and Louise Kennedy Minton. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and attended York County public schools. She graduated from Emmett Scott High School.
Surviving are her husband, David King Jr.; her daughter, Cassandra K. Douglas of Rock Hill; four brothers, Thomas Minton, Johnny Minton, Willie E. Minton and Ernest Lee King, all of Rock Hill; seven sisters, Alise Mobley of McConnells, Willie Mae Kennedy, Catherine Kennedy, Fannie Hinton, Alice Miller and Mattie Nash Hall, all of Rock Hill, and Maggie Dye of New York; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.

Charles Hager Jr.
ROCK HILL - Mr. Charles "Charlie" Lee Hager Jr., 69, of 678 Wildwood Drive died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Hogg officiating and the Rev. Marshall Fant assisting. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday at Bessemer City (N.C.) Memorial.
Mr. Hager was a son of the late Charles Lee Hager Sr. and Helen Smith Hager. He was a storeroom manager at Georgia Pacific and was a member of American Legion. He was a longtime Little League baseball and football coach. He was a member and past president of S.C. Metal Detector and Relic Association. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran in the Korean Conflict and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Burroughs Hager; two sons, Tim Hager of Rock Hill and Jody Hager of Fort Mill; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Community Care, 325 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732 or to the charity of one's choice.

ROCK HILL - Mr. Richard Page, 64, of 337-A N. Jones Ave. died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gethsemane Church, with the Rev. B.R. Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of York County, Mr. Page was a son of the late Theodore Page and Jannie Robinson Page. He attended Emmett Scott High School and worked for Steward and Ramseur as a roofer.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Page of Rock Hill; his son, Rickie Page of New York; four brothers, Theodore Page Jr. of Queen Village, N.Y., and Carnell Moffate, Dexter Page and Dennis Page, all of Rock Hill; two sisters, Rubye Jemmott of Brooklyn, N.Y,. and Sylvia Brown of Rock Hill; his stepmother, Alberta B. Page of Rock Hill; his half brother, Clarence Brice of Rock Hill; three half sisters, Linda B. Gaston and Sandra B. Littlejohn, both of Rock Hill, and Karen B. Perry of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Home.

Jack Clewis Sr.
YORK - Mr. Jack Benjamin Clewis Sr., 61, of 1438 Ernest Road died Tuesday, June, 12, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at York Church of God, with the Rev. Donald E. Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Clewis was a son of the late O.D. Clewis and Annie Reeves Clewis. He was a member of the York Church of God and served in the U.S. Air Force. He formerly worked for Home Depot and American Barmag in Charlotte.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Ruth Cunningham Clewis; his son, Jack B. Clewis Jr. of York; his daughter, Tammy C. Mason of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Emma Lee Willets of Leland, N.C., Dorothy Connor of Cerro Gordo, N.C., Martha Hammond of Lexington, N.C., and Louise Morgan of Winna Bow, N.C.; his half-brother, Arthur Clewis of Miami; his half-sister, Mary Benton of Miami; and his granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel and other times at home.

Tony Sutton Sr.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Mr. Tony "Tick" Michael Sutton Sr., 42, of 343 Kenway Loop Road died Monday, June 11, 2001.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Mahaffey Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel,
201 N. Catawba St., Lancaster, with the Rev. Lee Lenon officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of York, Mr. Sutton was a son of the late James Sutton Sr. and Georgie Mae Carter Sutton. He was a self-employed home-building contractor.
Surviving are his wife, Leslie Smith Sutton of Mooresville, N.C.; his son, Tony Michael Sutton Jr. of Fort Benning, Ga.; two daughters, Leslie Tanara Sutton and Toni Nicole Sutton, both of Mooresville; two sisters, Terry Sutton Adams of Lancaster and Dee Bachmeier of Wheatland, Wyo.; five brothers, James Parker Sutton Jr. of Denver, Steve Sutton of Lancaster, Johnny Wayne Sutton of Bishopville, Timmy Sutton of Lancaster and Kenneth Lee Sutton of Charlotte.

BALTIMORE - Mr. John E. Heath died Friday, June 8, 2001, at University of Maryland Hospital.
The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Friday after an 11 a.m. wake at Revival Mission Church at 24 S. Fulton Ave.The burial will be 1:45 p.m. Friday at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mr. Heath was a son of the late Elliott Heath and Elizabeth Heath.

Mary Poe
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Mrs. Mary Beth Faulkenberry Poe, 60, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at home.
A graveside service was Saturday at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Poe was a daughter of the late John Richard Faulkenberry and Ruby Miriam Christmas. She was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church in Kershaw.
Surviving are her husband, Herman "Ted" Poe; three sons, Richard Dale Poe, Reid A. Poe, both of Virginia Beach, and Russell "Rusty" B. Poe of Groton, Conn.; her brother, the Rev. Hubert Faulkenberry of Rock Hill; her grandson; and three granddaughters.

Thomas McMullen
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Mr. Thomas McMullen of 2251 McCalla Ave. and formerly of the Landsford community in Catawba, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First AME Church, 1900 McCalla Ave. in Knoxville.
A native of Chester County, Mr. McMullen was a son of the late Charlie McMullen Sr. and Easter Cousar McMullen. He was a former member of Mount Zion AME Zion Church No. 1. He attended public schools in Chester County and was a building contractor until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Otheia Nichols McMullen; two daughters, Cynthia M. CarMichael and Joan McMullen, both of Knoxville; two sisters, Leola M. Howze of Catawba and Sarah M. Means of Plainfield, N.J.; three grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

Dora Caulder
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Dora Barrentine Caulder, 74, of 23 Hagins St. died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at home.
The Home Going Celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Four Square Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Doyle Smith officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Caulder Cemetery in Marion.
A native of Marion, Mrs. Caulder was a daughter of the late Leon Barrentine and Annie Carter Barrentine. She was a member of the First Four Square Pentecostal Church. She was the widow of Archie B. Caulder.
Surviving are her son, Belton Caulder of Gastonia, N.C.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Stilwell and Loraine Springs, both of Rock Hill; three sisters, Minnie Clark of Mullins, Annie Mae Clark of Marion and Avis White of Charleston; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Robert Douglas
CHESTER - Mr. Robert Edward "Bobby" Douglas, 72, of 1958 Marshal Byars Road died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church, with the Rev. Reggie Parker officiating and the Rev. Joey Beasley assisting. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mr. Douglas was a son of the late Samuel M. Douglas and Beatrice Smith Douglas. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Wages Douglas; his son, Ralph Douglas of St. Marys, Ga.; his sister, Billie Baker of Chester; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wright's Home for Funerals.

CLINTON - Miss Dorothy Merle Gourley, 79, of 801 Musgrove St. died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Laurens County Hospital.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Purity Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Wood-lawn Presbyterian Church cemetery in Sharon.
A native of Sharon, Miss Gourley was a daughter of the late John Charles Gourley and Annie Samuel Cowan Good Gourley. She retired from Ivey's Department Store and was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Sharon High School.

James Sharp Sr.
COLUMBIA - James Alexander Sharp Sr., 91, of the Central Carolina Nursing Home Facility died Friday, April 6, 2001, at the Central Carolina Home.
Burial was in Columbia.
A native of Clover, Mr. Sharp was a son of the late Amos Sharp and Eleanor Sharp. He worked for many years as a barber.
Surviving are his son, James Alexander Sharp Jr. of Gastonia, N.C.; three daughters, Laura Davis of Gastonia, Jannette McConnell of Salina, Kan., and Mary Johnson of York.

Louise Gourley
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Louise Young Gourley, 73, of 111 Sedgewood Drive died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Ebenezer Senior Services & Rehabilitation.
The church service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Sharon, with the Revs. James Gable and Dr. James McGill officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Landrum, Mrs. Gourley was a daughter of the late Francis M. Young and Ada Blanche Curtis Young. She was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church and worked as a telephone operator for Southern Bell from 1945 to 1962. She worked at Roses and Woolco department stores until her retirement in 1979. She was the widow of Robert S. Gourley Jr.
Surviving is her brother, Marvin D. Young of Spartanburg.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 today at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
