Wilford Alton Langston, 68, husband of Evelyn Vernell Welsh Laughton, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at his home. Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., he was a son of the late Osborne Sutton Langston and Dora Brown Langston. Mr. Langston was a member of Clarendon Baptist Church. He was retired from Santee Print Works. He was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include two daughters, Cynthia Lynne Tuck of Durham, N.C., and Kimberly Wren Langston of Kingstree; four brothers, Rudolph Langston, Wade Langston and Ray Langston, all of Rocky Mount, and David M. Langston of Spring Hope, N.C.; two sisters, Louise Hackney of Red Oak, N.C., and Esther Cahoon of Portsmouth, Va.; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ola Mae Smith, Thelma Marjorie Daniels and Cora Lee Perry. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Helvey and the Rev. S. Norman Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Earl Meeker, Perron M. Cromer, John L. Barnhill Jr., Jay Barnhill, George Steven Welsh and Bryan Wayne Welsh. ISAIAH PETERSON JR.

GABLE — Isaiah Peterson Jr., 70, husband of Olivia Brock Peterson, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at his home after a sudden illness. Born Dec. 23, 1929, in the Gable community of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Isaiah Peterson Sr. and Lula Rose Peterson. Mr. Peterson attended Clarendon County public schools and was a graduate of Walker-Gamble High School, where he served as senior class president. He served during the Korean War from 1951-1953 in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Melina Presbyterian Church. After moving to New York, he attended Randalls Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of Meridian Masonic Lodge No. 69, where he served as chaplain and worshipful master. He was was a retired employee of Rainbow Leather Inc. in New York, N.Y. Survivors besides his wife of New York, N.Y., include a son, Isaiah Bernard Peterson of Bronx, N.Y.; two daughters, Vanessa Carrington of Bronx and Ponzella Johnson of New York, N.Y.; an adopted daughter, Judy Hooks of New York, N.Y.; two brothers, Lawrence Peterson of Gable and Tyce Peterson of Philadelphia, Pa.; two adopted sisters, Eliza Belle of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Frances Cooper of New York, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and an adopted grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Peterson; and two sisters, Sarah Robinson and Ella Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Melina Presbyterian Church USA in Gable with the Rev. Carnell Hampton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. ANNIE F. SANDERS

Annie Bell Furman Sanders died Friday, June 23, 2000, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born Sept. 10, 1912, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary James Furman. Survivors include three foster children, Ronald Geter of Columbia, Denise Sherrard of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Wade C. Martin of Sumter; a brother, J.E. Furman of Brooklyn; five sisters, Mary Gathers, Pearl Pack and Rebecca Mack, all of Sumter, Lucille Montgomery of Baltimore, Md., and Wilhemenia Geter of Woodbridge, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary L. Richardson; a brother, Henry Furman; and two sisters, Christina James and Earl Canty. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Job’s Mortuary Inc. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry C. Weston, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Jackson and the Rev. George Johnson. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Thursday. MANNING — Roosevelt “Abraham” Sabb, 50, died Saturday morning, June 24, 2000, at the Bernardin House in Columbia. Born Dec. 31, 1949, in the Summerton community of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Tommie Sabb and Maggie Benbow Sabb. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Lillie Mae and William Hilton, Route 4, Box 1384, Durant Lane, in the Jordan community of Manning. COLUMBIA — Phillip Yates Jr., husband of Dorothy Lowery Yates, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. Born Oct. 8, 1947, in Sumter, he was a son of Phillip Rodgers Yates and Mary Black Yates. The family will receive friends at the family home, 104 Knottingham Drive, Sumter. COLUMBIA — Shirly Landsman Coplan, wife of Edwin Coplan, died Sunday, June 25, 2000. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Anna Finnzelber Landsman. Mrs. Coplan attended the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau. She was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue, Hadassah and Beth Shalom Sisterhood. A former volunteer for Providence Hospital, she was an avid tennis player and gardener. Survivors besides her husband include a son, Mark Coplan of Columbia; three daughters, Lana Schlossberg of Atlanta, Ga., Caron Coplan of New York, N.Y., and Laura Scott of Houston, Texas; a brother, Stuart Landsman of Miami Beach, Fla.; and a grandson and three granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie Landsman. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Women’s Shelter, 3425 N. Thomas Gethers Sr., husband of Ruth Calvin Gethers, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Mariner Health of Sumter East. Born March 28, 1913, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Ned Gethers Jr. and Betty Butler Gethers. He was a biological son of the late Hattie Gayle. He was employed at Revere Cooper Products for 29 years in Baltimore, Md. He joined St. Luke AME Church in Sumter in his youth. After moving to Baltimore, he became a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He attended Sumter County public schools. After spending 54 years in Baltimore, he moved back to Sumter in 1997. Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include four sons, Thomas Gethers Jr. of Hawthorne, Calif., Robert Gethers Sr. and Griffin Lee Gethers, both of Rochester, N.Y., and Daniel Lee Miller of Baltimore; two daughters, Mary Gethers Gerard of Wedgefield and Debra Martin of Baltimore; 29 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Loring Mill Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Tellie Gadsen, pastor, officiating. David Clark Grate Sr., 55, husband of Frances Coonce Grate, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in New Brighton, Pa., he was a son of Howard Clark Grate and Ruth Elisabeth MacDonald Grate. Mr. Grate was a longtime resident of Youngstown, Ohio, before moving to Sumter. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a truck driver for Schneider National Carriers Inc. Survivors besides his wife of Sumter and his parents of Ohio include three sons, David C. Grate Jr. of Hickory, N.C., Gregory Scott Grate of Sumter and Timothy Allen Grate of North Augusta, S.C.; two daughters, Melissa Dawn Grate of Florence and Deborah Lewis of Sumter; a brother, Ronald Howard Grate of North Lima, Ohio; and nine grandchildren. TURBEVILLE — F. Oscar Mims, 97, husband of Odessie R. Mims, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at his home after an illness. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Henry Wesley Mims and Viola Robinson Mims. Mr. Mims was a retired farmer and a barber. He was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife of Turbeville include a foster son, Steve Edward Harrington and his wife, Margaret Harrington, of Kingstree; foster grandchildren, Sherri H. Wahdan and her husband, Eddie Wahdan, of Gaston, and Rodney S. Harrington of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Archie, Ollie McSwain and Freddie Jackson Mims. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church. BISHOPVILLE — Martha Segars, 55, died Saturday, June 24, 2000. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Junius and Kathleen Hyatt Segars. LAKE CITY — Juanita Woods Paige Peterson, 85, widow of James E. Paige, died Friday, June 23, 2000. Born in Olanta, she was a daughter of the late Vant Woods and Frances E. Woods. She attended the public schools of Florence County. She was a member of St. Mark Holiness Church, where she served on the choir and as the pastor’s aide. Survivors include three daughters, Norver L. Jaeder of Lake City, Frances Graham and Carrie D. Paige, both of Florence; a son, Demray L. Paige of Columbia; a sister, Violet Woods of Florence; a brother, Rufus Woods of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Eula Mae Woods of Lake City; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three children, Helen Paige, Lem Ivory Paige and Vander Paige. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mark Holiness Church on Lincoln Avenue in Lake City, with presiding elder Linwood Cooper officiating. DURHAM, N.C. — Chris Jordan, 37, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Duke Hospital in Durham, N.C. Born March 21, 1963, in Houston, Texas, he was a son of Charles Jordan and Marian Holladay Jordan. He was a resident of Durham, N.C., for most of his life and was a 1981 graduate of Northern High School. He was employed by Audio Advice of Raleigh and was a member of the Methodist faith. Survivors besides his parents of Durham, N.C., include a grandmother, Pauline Trinkle of Huntington, Texas; and several aunts and uncles in South Carolina and Texas. Born in Marthaville, La., he was a son of the late Allen Andrew Ross and Corinne Middleton Ross. He was a member of Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church and an electrician. He was an Air Force veteran. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late July Frank and Phyllis Richardson. She attended the public schools of Clarendon County and was a member of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church. Survivors include four sons, Bobby Pearson, Esaw Pearson and Morgan Pearson Jr., all of Summerton, and Abraham Pearson of Manning; five daughters, Florine Pearson of Washington, D.C., Edna Pearson of Philadelphia, Pa., Shirley Pearson, Vivian Pearson and Lydia Pearson, all of Summerton; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kinko A. Galligan, 68, widow of Joseph J. Galligan, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. Mrs. Galligan was born in Japan. Survivors include two sons, Charles Galligan of Sumter and Fredrick Galligan of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter, Caroline G. Rovinski of Sumter; and one grandson, James G. Rovinski. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Billy Floyd, by whom she was reared; and her two maternal grandparents, Russell Ardis and Pearl Ardis. Ellen Alderman Jones, 84, widow of Lewis Mayrant Jones Jr., died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Paul R. Alderman and Mina Blanchard Alderman. She graduated from Manning High School and Winthrop College. She was a homemaker and substitute teacher. She was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years and was a member of the Clarendon Baptist Church until 1953. After moving to Sumter, she joined Grace Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She moved to Greenville in 1990, returning to Sumter in 1995 and resided at Covenant Place. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Lewis M. Jones and his wife, Pat R. Jones, of Anderson; Dr. Charles B. Jones and his wife, Lora E. Jones, of Pawley’s Island, and Rex W. Jones of Greenville; a daughter, Becky J. Truluck and her husband, H. Kelly Truluck, of Sumter; a sister, Ruth A. Monteith of Sumter; a sister-in-law, Jean R. Alderman of Sumter; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul R. Alderman Jr. and C. Blanchard Alderman; and a sister, Frances A. Coward. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home, with Drs. Archie Lamar Caughman, 86, husband of Martha Guess Caughman, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at his home. Born in the Cedar Grove community of Batesburg-Leesville, he was a son of the late Henry Moses Caughman and Lessie Shealy Caughman. He was a graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School and a 1963 honor graduate of Newberry College. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Boyle Bible Class, a former teacher and a former board member and chairman of the Building Committee of Williams-Brice Center. He moved to Sumter in 1946 and served as an area supervisor of South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of the Sumter-Columbia Hunting Club and the Progressive Club. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and lieutenant commander, retired U.S. Navy Reserve. Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Lonnie Caughman and his wife, Jeannie Mathis Caughman, of Hopkins, and Sam Caughman of Lake Murray; a brother, Irving Yancey Caughman of Columbia; a grandson, Case Caughman of Hopkins; and a goddaughter, Kipper Edens Ackerman. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virgie C. Hite and Florence Addy; and a brother, Robert Faye Caughman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Dr. James Adams and the Rev. Phil Jones officiating. Charles E. Walker Jr., 47, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at a local nursing center. Born in South Port, N.C., he was a son of Charles E. Walker Sr. and the late Mary L. Sellers Walker. Walker of Sumter; a sister, Barbara Wilson of Olanta; four stepbrothers, Edward Cuffley of Myrtle Beach, and Albert Kirby III, Carroll Kirby and Brian Kirby, all of Sumter; two stepsisters, Lisa Hodge and Sonia Hodge, both of Sumter, three aunts, Lois Craven and Eva Walker, both of Sumter, and Jean Clemmons of Shallotte, N.C.; two uncles, Rollins Walker and Ron Craven, both of Sumter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home, with Dr. Clay Smith officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Pack, Joey Pack, Ralph Arrants III, Ron Craven, Albert Kirby III and Don Hodge. The family will receive friends at 505 Early St., Sumter. VIRGINIA B. JENKINS

SUMMERTON — Virginia Bridges Jenkins, 74, wife of Perry Broughton Jenkins, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Orangeburg Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Born Jan. 28, 1926, in Fairfax, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Joe Frank Bridges and Louise Jackson Bridges. She was a retired school teacher from Garner High School in Garner, N.C., a graduate of Auburn University, and a member of Lake Marion Baptist Church in North Santee, where she was an active church worker. Survivors besides her husband of Summerton include a son, Perry Jenkins Jr. of Garner, N.C.; four daughters, Jeni Russell of Salisbury, N.C., Tammy Jenkins of Knightdale, N.C., Linda Sturm of Raleigh, N.C., and Nancy Bailey of Muscatine, Iowa; a brother, James Frank Bridges of Mountain City, Tenn.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rev. Kenneth Tompkins officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh, N.C. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the home in Summerton. SALLIE R. CHATMAN

Sallie Mae Riley Chatman, 77, widow of David Chatman Sr., died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 16, 1922, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Riley Sr. and Dianah Amos Riley Washington. Mrs. Chatman attended Clarendon County public schools. In her youth, she joined Rock Hill Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a member of the usher board and Sunday school department until her health declined. She was employed from 1971 until 1979 at Morris College in the girls’ dormitory. Survivors include five sons, David Chatman Jr., James Chatman, Edward Chatman, Franklin Chatman and Michael Chatman, all of Sumter; six daughters, Emma Chatman of Coney Island, N.Y., Inez Chatman, Patricia Chatman and Janice McCleary, all of Sumter, Sallie Burns of Atlanta, Ga., and Jeanette Hernandez of Newark, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Carrie Lee Wells of Silver; two adopted daughters, Mary Wilson of Columbia and Peggy Brailey of Sumter; a brother, Deacon Charles Riley of Manning; 47 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ida Lee and Jane; three brothers, Harvey “Bubba” Riley Jr., Dwayne Riley and J.C. Riley; and two sisters, Elise Dingle and Haney Pringle. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Manning with the Rev. Dr. Leon Winn, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Henry Bush and the Rev. Willie Wright. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 213 E. Red Bay Road, Sumter. Samuels Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of arrangements.

LAWRENCE CHINA

REMBERT — Lawrence China died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the home of his sister. Born Dec. 5, 1937, in Sumter County, he was a son of Lucy China Hazel. Mr. China attended Sumter County public schools. He was employed as a civilian at Shaw Air Force Base for more than 30 years. Survivors besides his mother of the home include a sister, Denease Sanders and her husband, Malachi Sanders, of Rembert. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of James Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Dr. L.W. Walker Sr. officiating, assisted by the Rev. Durant Jenkins and the Rev. Willie Jones. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery. Friends of the family will be pallbearers, and members of the missionary and usher boards of Hopewell Baptist Church will be flower bearers. The funeral procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. from the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Malachi and Denease Sanders, 4150 Hosea Road, Rembert. The family will receive friends at the same home. EARL J. DOBY

Earl Jennings Doby, 81, husband of Peggy T. Doby, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at his home. Born in Charleston, he was a son of the late Everod Doby and Adelaide Thompson Doby. Mr. Doby was a member of Tirzah Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and church treasurer. He was retired from Madison Industries. He was first married to the late Virginia Revill Doby, and then to Peggy Thigpen Doby, who survives along with three daughters, Barbara Maguire and her husband, Paul Maguire, of Irmo, Patricia Smith and her husband, Ben Smith, of Sanford, Fla., and Deborah Land and her husband, Tim Land, of Lexington; a stepson, Kenneth Sale and his wife, Pam Sale, of Rock Hill; a stepdaughter, Nancy Williams and her husband, Richard Williams, of Albany, Ga.; three half-brothers, Ed Harris, Bob Harris and Charlie Harris, all of Virginia; six grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Kuper, Ryan Edwards, Keith Edwards, Tom Mann, Scott MacNeil and Earl Smith. Kelly Vonzo Flowers, 87, widower of Addie McGee Flowers, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at a local nursing center. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late John Bunyan Flowers and Betty Anderson Flowers. Mr. Flowers was former owner and operator of Flowers Tree Service. Survivors include two sons, Randy Flowers of Sumter and Kelly Flowers of Monterey, Tenn.; a daughter, Nyra Chapmon Brunson of Sumter; a brother, Bobby Flowers of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Dora Morris of Goose Creek and Dorothy Prior of Mexico, Mo.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Flowers; a daughter, Althea Newman; three brothers, Leland Flowers, Allard Flowers and Nelson Flowers; two sisters, Theo Filyaw and Bertie Alexander; and a grandson, Kevin Newman. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Ben “B.J” James, 65, husband of Deloris Johnson James, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born April 7, 1935, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Lucius James and Camellia James McCoy. Mr. James attended Sumter County public schools. In his youth, he joined Antioch UME Church in Rimini. He was employed by H.E. Kirven Logging Co. Survivors besides his wife of the home include two sons, Edward James and the Rev. Richard James, both of Sumter; three daughters, Barbara Jones of Killeen, Texas, Willean James of Sumter and Deloris Croom of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Mary Lee McCoy of Pinewood; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce James. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Olden Chapel UME Church with the Rev. Michael Walker, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Richard James, the Rev. Anthony Taylor, the Rev. Fagan Connors, Minister Gregory Jackson and the Rev. Leroy T. James. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery in Pinewood. The funeral procession will leave at 3:15 p.m. from the home, 230 Lois Lane. The family will receive friends at the home. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MARGARET R. JONES

Margaret R. Jones, 85, widow of Roy C. Jones, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born June 28, 1914, in Utica, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Edward W. and Anna E. Ray Robinson. She was a graduate of Cornell University and a home economics teacher at Baldwin High School in New York. She was an active member of Bellmore Presbyterian Church in Bellmore, N.Y., where she served as a Sunday school superintendent for many years. Later she was a member of Etowah Presbyterian Church, Etowah Methodist Church and Skyland Methodist Church, all in North Carolina. She moved to Sumter in 1997 and joined Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Throughout her active years, she spent many hours helping others, mainly through her volunteer work in the various churches to which she belonged. Survivors include two daughters, Robin E. Kennedy of Brentwood, Tenn., and Cathy R.J. Powers of Sumter; her sons-in-law, Joseph A. Kennedy and Thomas L. Powers; and her grandchildren, Chris Kennedy, Katie Kennedy, Alex Powers, Robin Powers and Jesse Powers. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Armer; a brother, Edward F. Robinson; a brother-in-law, Donald Armer; a sister-in-law, Janet Robinson; and a niece, Ronaele Hazleton. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Givens Estates in Arden N.C.

HATTIE M. MACK

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Hattie Mae Mack, 76, died June 15, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in the Jordan community of Manning in Clarendon County, S.C., she attended Clarendon County public schools. She was a former member of Macedonia Baptist church in Manning. After moving to Philadelphia, she joined Second Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Moses Mack, William Mack, Ronald Mack and James Mack, all of Philadelphia; seven daughters, Leola Mack, Johnny Mae Mack, Katherine Mack, Gwendolyn Brown, Rose Lee Mack, Darlene Mack and Loretta Mack, all of Philadelphia; five brothers, Horace Young and Odell Young, both of Miami, Fla., James Young and Levi Conyers, both of Manning, and Carl Young of Philadelphia; four sisters, Eloise McKinney and Helen Parson, both of Manning, Almeta Mack of Philadelphia, and Girlie Jones of Miami, Fla.; 28 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Shiloh Baptist Church, 1433 N. 21st St., Philadelphia, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in a local cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Shiloh Baptist Church. Brown Funeral Service, 2130 W.
