ANDERSON -- James Barrett Beck, 12, son of Billy Ray Beck Jr. and Kimberly Whitman Beck, of 148 Gareloch Lane, Anderson, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in Anderson.

The family will be at the residence.

The family suggests memorials be made to the James Barrett Beck Memorial Fund, c/o Palmetto Bank, 7721 Clemson Blvd., Pendleton, S.C. 29670.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by The McDougald Funeral Home.

Margaret Barker

WESTMINSTER -- Margaret H. Barker, 81, formerly of 124 Barker Drive died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Mariner Nursing Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Sandifer Funeral Home of Westminster.

Margaret Jackson

May 15, 1937 -- June 7, 2004

BELTON -- Margaret Louise Jackson, 67, of 221 Brookside Circle died Monday, June 7, 2004, at Anderson Area Medical Center.

A native of Anderson County, she attended Geer Gantt High School and was a retired employee from Jackes Restaurant for 34 years. She was also a member of the Bethlehem A.M.E. Church of Belton.

Surviving are mother, Clara Jackson of Honea Path; daughter, Sonja M. Jackson of Belton; sons, Michael B. Jackson of Washington, D.C. and Marty D. Jackson of Belton; sister, Ruby Nell Dixon of Honea Path; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was the daughter of the late Harvey Jackson and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Jackson.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bethlehem A.M.E. Church, Belton, by the Rev. Charles Watkins and the Revs. Otis and Odell Burns; burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Garden. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Holloway's Funeral Home, 101 Holloway Blvd., Belton.

The family is at the home her daughter, Sonja Jackson, 221 Brookside Circle, Belton.

Mildred Jenkins Maxwell

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Mildred Jenkins Maxwell of 4376 Haywood Place died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Willis Knights Hospital in Shreveport.

Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late the Rev. Willie and Sallie Parker Jenkins. She was a member of the Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Seneca.

Surviving are widower, Charles Maxwell of the home; sons, James Spencer Earl of Charlotte, N.C., and Gil Earl of Seneca; three grandchildren; brother, the Rev. Sloan Jenkins of Rochester, N.Y.; and sisters, Viola Williams and Alice Rutledge, both of Detroit, and Lola Mae Simpson, Carrie Williams and Ida Randall, all of Seneca.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Seneca; burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday. Adams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

The family is at the home of her son, Gil Earl, 213 Savannah Drive, Seneca.

Ronnie Tyner

ANDERSON -- Ronald Bryan "Ronnie" Tyner, 41, of 114 Camelia Drive died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at his residence.

A native of Anderson County, he was a McDuffie High School graduate, a former construction worker and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are daughter, Kristen A. Tyner of Anderson; brothers, Phil Tyner, Gary Tyner and Keith Tyner, all of Anderson, Mike Tyner of Sacramento, Calif., and Aaron Tyner of Seneca; sisters, Mary Kydd of Charleston and Martha Ferguson of Abbeville.

He was the son of the late Eugene Thomas and Jennie V. Waldrep Tyner.

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel in Walhalla; burial in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of brother, Aaron Tyner, 495 Babb Road, Seneca.

Sara Caroline Pitts Babb

BELTON -- Sarah Caroline Pitts Babb, 81, wife of Alton Babb, of 1612 Hollidays Dam Road died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Anderson Area Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cox Funeral Home.

Sarah Ingram

March 26, 1925 -- June 10, 2004

PIEDMONT -- Sarah Thacker Martin Ingram, 79, of 109 Ingram Lane died Thursday, June 10, 2004.

She was retired from the U.S. Tobacco Co. in Richmond, Va. and was a member of the Life Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are widower, James Oscar Ingram; sons, Stuart D. Martin of Lyles, Tenn., Robert Lynn Martin of Richmond, Va., and James K. Martin of Sevierville, Tenn.; daughters, Joan M. Throckmorton of Mechanicsville, Va., Patricia M. Loseyof Piedmont, and Janice Marie Martin of Greenville; stepsons, Lawrence William "Billy" Ingram of Easley, Rocky L. Ingram, Jessie A. "Tony" Igram, both of Piedmont; stepdaughter, Susan L. Paxton of Piedmont; sisters, Mattie T. Lark of Piedmont, Florine Kelly Demmer of Greenwood, Edna Rowland of Starr, and Ruby Collawn King William, Va.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church; burial will follow in White Plains Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Memorials may be made to Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, Piedmont, or to Mount Airy Baptist Church, Easley.

Thomas Davis

Jan. 6, 1955 -- June 10, 2004

WESTMINSTER -- Thomas Gene Davis, 49, of 102 Lakewood Drive died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at his home.

Born in Cleveland, he was an employee of Fluor Daniel Corporation. He was an avid aviator, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church. He was an Eagle Scott at the age of 14, a graduate of Olmstead Falls High School class of '73 where he excelled in the honors choir, high school football captain, track and cross country and wrestling. He received his pilot license at the age of 16. He attended Mars Hill College.

Surviving are widow, Lila M. Villatoro Davis; son, Thomas Joseph Davis of the home; daughters, Lily Mae, Mary Ann and Georgina Davis, all of the home; parents, James Howard and June Johnson Davis, both of Westminster; brother, Gary Davis of Westminster; and a sister, Patricia Dimitroff of Westminster.

His maternal grandparents, Russell and Alice Johnson and M.J. and Mae Cox Davis preceded him in death.

A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, Bountyland Road, Seneca by Father Bernard Campbell. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, S.C. 29672.

The family is at the home.

Benjamin Clinton Allgood

Benjamin Clinton Allgood, 50, died Monday, June 14, 2004, at his home.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Dennis Allgood.

He was a member of Mount Abel Baptist Church in Anderson.

Surviving are widow, Ollie Ann Galloway Allgood of the home; sons, Benjamin Clinton Allgood Jr, of the home and Dalechun Christopher Allgood of Seneca; mother, Lessie Williams Allgood of Pendleton; brothers, Kathel Allgood and James Allgood, both of Pendleton; sisters, Nancy Gambrell and Siggie Gambrel, both of Anderson, Inez Lee of Pendleton, Lucester Stowes of Liberty and Ann McBride of Sumter; and four grandchildren.

Services are at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mount Abel Baptist Church, Anderson; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Adams Mortuary, Seneca.

The family is at the home, 307 W. South Fourth St., Seneca.

Dora Luvina Jordan

ANDERSON -- Dora Luvina Jordan, 72, of 27 Sirrine St. died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by The McDougald Funeral Home.

John M. Ansel

WALHALLA -- John McCollough Ansel, 89, of South Tugaloo Street died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Clemson Downs Health Center in Clemson.

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late George Martin and Harriet Legare' Ansel. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II.

Surviving are widow, Anna Bishop Ansel of Clemson Downs, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Legare', George, Neville and Irvine Ansel.

A memorial recital will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Organ Fund, 301 W. Main St., Walhalla, S.C. 29691.

Davenport Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Burns

SENECA -- Kenneth F. Burns, 59, husband of Jane Walker Burns, of 1015 S. Walnut St., died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Davenport Funeral Home.

Louise F. Williams

July 10, 1912 -- June 17, 2004

LA FRANCE -- Louise Farmer Williams, 91, formerly of La France, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Brookside Nursing Center.

Born in Anderson, she was a retired textile employee and was a homemaker. She was a member of La France Baptist Church and the Welmaker Sunday school class of the church.

Surviving are sons, Robert L. Williams Jr. of Pendleton and Kenneth Doy Bills of Anderson; daughter, Barbara Murrah of Sandy Springs; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was the widow of Robert L. Williams Sr. and the daughter of the late Claude and Allie Banniser Farmer. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Bills; sister, Emmie Honea; and four brothers, Horace Farmer, T.C. Farmer, Roy Farmer and Frank Farmer. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, by the Rev. Gene Burdette; burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The body is at the Northeast Chapel, 3205 S.C. 81 North, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Family members will be at their respective homes.

Memorials may be made to the La France First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 479, La France, S.C. 29656.
