He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Addie Brownlee and brothers, Freddie Brownlee, Elliot and Johnny Starks. ELLEN M. RANDALL BODEN

HORSHAM, PA- Ellen M. Randall Boden, 90, of Horsham, PA, died Friday, October 6, 2006 at the Manor Care Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Montgomeryville, PA. Born in Ambler, PA, she was formerly of Anderson. She was twice married, first to the late Robert B.B. Randall and second to the late John X. Boden. Surviving are her son, Robert A. Randall of Horsham, PA; one brother, George Rooney of Warminster, PA; one sister-in-law, Stella Roney of PA; three step daughters: Nancy O'Neal, Evelyn Fial both of PA and Mary Simcox of Wilmington, DE; two nieces, five nephews; and several step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Rd., Warminster, PA. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, October 13, 2006 at New Silver Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Burdette officiating. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. April 10, 1979 - October 9, 2006

ANDERSON, SC - Mr. Joseph Richard McCoy, age 27, of 307 Eskew Circle, died Monday at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC on April 10, 1979, Joey was the son of Cathy H. McCoy of Anderson and the late Richard M. McCoy. He was formerly employed by White Jones Hardware as a Manager and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Cathy H. McCoy; sister, Melody M. Roberts and her husband, Timmy; paternal grandmother, Marie McCoy; maternal grandparents, Mary C. Hanks and Mrs. & Mrs. Bobby C. Hanks, all of Anderson. Two nephews and one niece also survive. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth N. McCoy, Sr. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Tom Turner. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. MR. WALTER PHILYAW

ANDERSON, SC - Mr. Walter Alfred "Dan" Philyaw of 516 Haynie Street, husband of the late Mary Kathryn Gillespie Philyaw, and son of the late Hadrick Luther and Clarice Goss Philyaw died Tuesday, October 10, 2006. He was retired from the Anderson Independent-Mail with over forty years of service, a disabled United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Ruff Masonic Lodge #240 and Hejaz Shrine. He is survived by his children, Ronnie McCullough, Nancy Mackey and Peggie Roberts, all of Anderson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Virginia Obarr, Annis Madden and Juanita Johnson, all of Anderson. Masonic Services will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 4:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The families are at their respective homes. ANDERSON, SC - Mrs. Edna Earl King Crawford, age 86 of 1076 Asbury Park Road, formerly of West Whitner Street, died Monday, October 09, 2006 at Ellenburg Nursing Center in Anderson. Born in Fair Play, SC on May 18, 1920, Mrs. Crawford was the wife of the late Moody Hall Crawford and the daughter of the late Cliff W. King and Ina Ora Sammons King. She was retired from Appleton Mills as a weaver with thirty-seven years of service. She was a member of Burdine Road Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie E. Crawford and her husband, Roy of Anderson; three grandsons, Dennis Crawford, Steven Crawford and his wife, Lynn and Tony Crawford and his wife, Connie; a granddaughter, Cindy Hawkins and her husband, Luther; thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hall Crawford; four brothers, George, Plummer, Farris and Billy Joe King; a sister, Mildred Payne and a grandson, Marshall Lamar Crawford. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Horace Lanier. ANDERSON, SC - Mrs. Edna Stewart Tilley, age 81, beloved wife of Douglas Tilley of 204 Juniper Avenue, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 10, 2006. Born in Anderson County, SC on February 27, 1925, Mrs. Tilley was a daughter of the late Robert Arthur Stewart and Mary Vassar Stewart. She was retired from Scott Manufacturing Company and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Tilley is survived by her husband of sixty years, Douglas Tilley. She will be remembered by her daughters, Nancy Chasteen, Callie Tilley and Patricia Tilley and grandsons, Joshua Caine Chasteen, Jason Toby Chasteen, and Corey Miles Tilley as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed by her faithful Labrador, Maggie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Miles Stewart and Chaffer Stewart and three sisters, Lillian Ramsey, Sarah Hanks and Bonta Greer. Born in Claremont, New Hampshire on January 5, 1944, Mrs. Pickett was the wife of the late John Edward Pickett and a daughter of the late Hayden Keith Fassett and Eleanor Friot Fassett. Before moving to the Anderson Area, she was a Hospice Caregiver in Hardwick, VT for many years and was a homemaker and mother. Survivors include sons, Donald B. Bashaw and his wife, Lauren of Jeffersonville, VT and Hayden V. Bashaw and his wife, Deborah of Starr, SC; daughters, Karla F. Rowell of Hardwick, VT and Juli A. Beal of Hollis, NH; brothers, Harold "Jack" Fassett, Henry "Bud" Fassett, Ronald Fassett, Bruce Fassett, Steven Fassett and Frank Fassett; sisters, Carol Perry, Patricia Gilbert, Diane Draper, Heidi Putvain and Joanne Kirwan; eight grandchildren, Christopher Fassett, Diana Rowell, Lisa Rowell, Ashley Rowell, Tanya Bashaw, Nathan Bashaw, Brandon Bashaw and Katie Bashaw and her beloved dog "Beauty". In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carlton F. Bashaw; and a brother, Kendell "Peanut" Fassett. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 4:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the Memorial Service. ANDERSON - Pfc. Satieon (Tee) Vinard Bennett Greenlee, 24, of the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, of ft. drum, NY, died October 2, 2006 in Iraq. Born in Anderson County on September 27, 1982 to Stanley (Half Pine) and Cheryl (Peanut) Greenlee. Surviving is wife, Natasha Brown Greenlee; two sons, Quintieon Vinard and Kuaimaine Isaac Greenlee of the home; three sisters, Yolanda (Toya) Bowman of Anderson, Keri (K K) Williams of Clovis, New Mexico and Lasondra Carson of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Stanton Greenlee of Anderson; and a special cousin, Jonathan Ramon Greenlee of Anderson. The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 7:30PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Civic Center in Anderson. ANDERSON - Claudine Williams Walker, 71, passed away on October 15, 2006 at NHC.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia M. Thomas of Clinton, MD; sons, Harold (Barbara) Walker, Jr. and James Gary (Texann) Williams both of Anderson, SC; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Walker, Sr.; parents, Claude Williams and Daisy M. Sanders Williams; and brother, Jimmy T. Williams.

Services will be held 2:00PM Thursday in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The visitation will begin one hour before the service. Burial will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.

Jerry D. Bailey

February 20, 1943-October 17, 2006

HARTWELL - Mr. Jerry D. Bailey, age 63 of 302 Vickery Street, Hartwell, Ga., died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Hospice House of the Upstate.

Born February 20, 1943 in Franklin County, He was the son of the late Denzil Bailey and Edna Peeples Bailey. He was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Company, was an avid deer hunter and a member of the Prices Chapel Church of God.

He is survived by: daughter, Sherry "Rene" Bailey of Spartanburg, S.C.; friend, Linda Risner of Hartwell, Ga.; brothers, Lev Bailey, Anderson, S.C., and Eddie Bailey, Hartwell, Ga.; sisters, Gracie Bailey and Mary Lou Koch, both of Hartwell, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sidney Carey Bailey; a son, Jerry Daniel Bailey, Jr.; and a brother, Hershel Bailey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of Prices Chapel Church of God. Revs. Johnny Stowe and Fred Greenway will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at 1:30 p.m.

WESTMINSTER - Mary Johnson McGee, 82, of 2002 Hwy 59, departed this life Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center/Activity Department.

Born to Ralph and Diane Simpson Johnson, she was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church, Townville.

She was married to the late Jimmie J. McGee. Two sisters preceded her in death, Martha and Blanche Johnson; one brother, Ray Johnson; and a half sister, Lonie Bell Johnson.

She leaves to mourn three daughters, Lillie Mae McGee and Peggy McGee of Anderson, SC and Julie Ann (Horace) Thompson of the home and one son, Joe Frank McGee of Townville, SC; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends.

Funeral services 3:00PM Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Townville, SC. Family will receive friends at the Johnson Funeral Home 7:00 until 8:00PM Wednesday.

Robert Earl Gambrell

HONEA PATH - Robert Earl Gambrell, 48, of 7A Louisiana Street, died Monday at his home.

Born in Anderson County he was a son of Mary Elizabeth Moon and the late Henry Hayward Gambrell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are three brothers, William "Dickie" Gambrell and Henry Gambrell both of Honea Path, and Ronnie D. Gambrell of Donalds; three sisters, Stella Gambrell and Glenda Ford both of Honea Path, and Sandra Jennings of Belton.

He was predeceased by his father and one brother, Rickey Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harmon Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The family is at the home of a sister Glenda Ford 1022 Meaders Lane Honea Path.

Victor Rendon

WALHALLA, SC - Victor Rendon, 31, of 601 South Church Street, Walhalla, SC, died Sunday, October 15, 2006.

A native of Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico, Mr. Rendon was a son of Andres and Margarita Camacho Rendon of Mexico. He was employed by Keith's Cabinets of Six Mile, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rendon is survived by: brothers, David Rendon and wife, Adriana of Walhalla, SC, Armando Rendon of Walhalla, SC; sisters, Esther Rendon of New York, Dalila Rendon of Mexico, Ruth Rendon of Mexico, Elisama Rendon of Mexico.

Funeral services will be conducted in Mexico at a later date.

The body is at Davenport Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 4-6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2006.

CHESTER, PA - Wylie McDowell, formerly of Anderson, SC, died in Chester, PA. He was the husband of Irene Underwood McDowell of Anderson. He was a member of Spencer A.M.E. Church, Chester, PA.

Survivors are: wife; daughter, Rockie McDowell; sons, Larry and Calvin McDowell; stepdaughter, Abigail Elaine Quarles and Jody Wilson; stepson, Lonnie Underwood; sisters, Thelma Hull and Mary Crumpier; brother, Willie McDowell.

Service will be Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in Chester, PA.
