Mrs. Chandler, widow of Wallace B. Chandler, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002. Born in Kershaw County, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Bennett and Lula Blackwell Gardner, Sr. She was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Moore died Friday, January 24, 2003. Born in Darlington County, SC, he was a son of the late James Drew and Bessie McCoy Moore. He was a member of The Methodist Faith and retired from Harsco Track Technologies and engaged in real estate.

Surviving are his son, Robert J. Moore of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Karen D. Moore of Columbia, SC; sister, Carolyn M. Hall of Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Warren died Saturday, January 25, 2003. Born in Darlington County, SC, he was a son of Ann King Warren Arrowood and the late William David Warren, Jr. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and worked at Carausar of Fort Mill, SC for 13 years where he was a draftsman. He attended York Technical College and graduated with a degree in Engineering.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Warren of Rock Hill, SC; mother of Hartsville, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Tamara W. and Philip Crowley of Charleston, SC; brother, W. David Warren, III of Hartsville, SC.

Mr. Beasley died Friday, April 4, 2003. Born in Lee County, SC, he was a son of the late Willis Russell and Rowena Skinner Beasley. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and the Patesville Masonic Lodge and was retired from DuPont with 35 years of service. He was a devoted family man.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Ann Dalrymple Beasley of Hartsville, SC; son, Hugh Elbert "Bert" Beasley of Hartsville, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Joe Kelly of Raleigh, NC; sister, Milford Kea of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Alyson Siczek, Sarah Jeffords, Joseph Kelly, II. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Beasley, and his sister, Alice Hutto.

He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a civil contractor in Viet Nam. He was previously employed with J. A. Jones, Morrison - Knudsen and Nello - Teer Construction Companies.

Mrs. Hays died Saturday, June7, 2003. Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, she was the daughter of the late Beler and Mary Kidd Langston. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Hartsville Chapter #91 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a 1927 graduate of Hartsville High School. Mrs. Hays was a member and volunteer for several service organizations.

Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Columbus Franklin Hays, Jr. of Hartsville, SC; son and daughter-in-law, C. Franklin and Elaine Hays, III of Hartsville, SC; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and William M. Hagood, III of Easley, SC, Faye and Dr. Thomas E. Hearon, III of Columbia, SC; brother, Marvin K. Langston of Elgin, SC; grandchildren, Columbus Franklin Hays, IV, Craig Porter Hays, Virginia Hagood MacDonald, Dr. Elizabeth Hearon Lindsey, Mary Kent Hearon, Thomas Edward Hearon, IV; great - grandson, Wilson Buchanan Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her brothers Murphy Langston, Edward Langston, Bealor Langston, Charles Langston and Robert Langston; grandson, William M. Hagood, IV.

Mrs. Hall, widow of Luther Lawrence Hall, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003. Born in Darlington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Maxie O. and Ruby Lewis Redic. She was a graduate of Coker College and retired from the College as Assistant to the Dean of Faculty. She worked for a number of years with the Darlington County School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught youth, college, and adult Sunday school classes. She was a Past - President of the Pilot Club of Hartsville.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Janet Hall of Hartsville, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Claude Wint of Hartsville, SC; brothers, Maxie Redic of Charlotte, NC, James Richard Redic of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Bryan Hall, Shannon Bigelow, Hillary Wint, Jason Wint, Lauren Wint; 5 great - grandchildren.

Bobby Heustess

Mr. Heustess died Tuesday, June 10, 2003. Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of the late Hugh and Ellie Mae Gandy and the Late Henry Heustess. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, was retired after 20 years of service in the US Air Force, was a member of the VFW, and retired from Nucor Steel.

Surviving are his wife, Theo Davis Heustess of Hartsville, SC; brother, Tim Gandy of Hartsville, SC; grandson, Rick Byrd of Hartsville, SC. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Lynn Heustess; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Byrd.
