Mrs. Mozingo, widow of Mendel M. Mozingo, died Sunday, June 22, 2003. Born in Darlington Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Creola Newsom Askins. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Jackie Hall Sunday school class, and the Mary Byrd / Mae Goudelock Circle. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and was retired after forty - seven years with Belk Department Store.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jimmy Cross of Hartsville, SC; sister, Cynthia Calloway of Georgetown, SC; sister-in-law, Marie Askins of Columbia; granddaughter, Katelyn Cross. She was predeceased by her brothers, John Askins and Paul Askins.

Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of the late Charles Ferris and Julia Howell Banta Sr. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, was retired from Sonoco Products Company, and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He was a member of the Hartsville Moose Lodge # 1770 and was a past governor, past administrator, past district president, past state president, a member of the Legion of the Moose and was awarded the Fellowship degree.

Mr. Walters died Sunday, April 4, 2004. Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of the late Wade Hampton and Lula Hawkins Walters. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was owner and operator of Carolina Upholstery since 1948. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, was involved in the Battle of the Bulge, and was awarded the Purple Heart twice. He was also a 50 year Mason.

Mr. Sullivan died Sunday, April 11, 2004. Born in Chesterfield Co., SC, he was a son of the late Ira Hazel and Grace Blackwell Sullivan. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church where he was affectionately known as the "Bubble Gum Man" by the children. He served his country in the Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the DAV, the Newman - Cassidy Chapter of the American Legion, McBee Masonic Lodge #313, and worked for Sonoco for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Dot Allred Sullivan of McBee, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Laura Sullivan of Hartsville, SC; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Bobby Hall of Columbia, SC, Linda and Pete Stevens of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Jeff Hall, April Icenhour, Johnny Stevens, Richie Stevens, Dawn Stevens, Ina Marie Sullivan; 12 great grandchildren.
