MANNING -- Brandon Allen Cribb, 23, son of Phil and Betty Daniels Cribb, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in Georgetown.

Brandon was born Aug. 12, 1981, in Sumter.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory in Manning.

LISTON EADDY Sr.

LAKE CITY -- Liston Eaddy Sr., 94, widower of Christine Singletary Eaddy, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004.

He was a son of the late Margaret Cooper and Sherman Eaddy.

Survivors include one son, Charlie (Ella) Eaddy of Lake City; two daughters, Minnie Lee (James) Wilson of Lake City and Jeanette Eaddy-McSwain of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Liston Jr.; and one daughter, Betty Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Clair Baptist Church, East Main Street, Lake City, with the Rev. W.L. Thompson officiating.

Burial will be held in Sandhill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at 371 Lincoln Ave., Lake City.

Green's Funeral Home of Lake City is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGE RAY QUINN

George Ray "Boogie" Quinn, 56, husband of Kathleen Quinn, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home.

Services will be announced by Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter.

WILLIE C. MULDROW Jr.

INGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Willie Coisa Muldrow Jr., 54, died Nov. 7, 2004, at Inglewood Hospital.

Born June 25, 1950, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Willie Coisa Muldrow Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Benjamin Muldrow.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Fredrica Muldrow (Thornie) Brailsford, 38 Lakeside Drive, Sumter.

Services will be announced by Job's Mortuary Inc. of Sumter.

IRA SCOTT

BISHOPVILLE -- Ira "Bo Peep" Scott died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville.

The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, Earline McCoy, 4690 Gilbert Road, Hartsville.

Square Deal Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of arrangements.

ELLISON LAWSON

Dyson's Home for Funerals sorrowfully regrets to announce the passing of Ellison "Bo Dyson" Lawson, age 81, who entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Kershaw Medical Center, Camden.

Born Oct. 9, 1923, he was a son of Susan Dyson. He was the widower of Katie Mathis Lawson.

The family is receiving friends at the home, 1340 Spires Ave., River Road community, Summerton.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.

ESSIE MAE STATE

LAKE CITY -- Essie Mae State, 75, widow of Sam Gene State, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the residence, 513 Scurry Road, Lake City.

She was born March 8, 1929.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Fannie Singletary, 125 Westover St., Lot 6, Lake City, SC 29560.

Services will be announced by Green's Funeral Home of Lake City.

ENOCH SPEARS

Enoch "Bubba" Spears, 53, husband of Amy Lee White Spears, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 14, 1951, in Sumter, he was a son of Johnny and Aline Hodge Spears. He attended Lincoln High School, Sumter. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Beulah AME, where he was a member of the Sons of Allen. For 28 years, he was employed by Cooper Tools.

Survivors besides his wife and parents include one daughter, Shatel D. Spears, and one son, Enoch A. Spears, both of Sumter; two brothers, Bennie L. Hodge of New York City and William (Shirley) Spears of Sumter; five grandchildren, Crystal M. Spears, Shakeima Z. Lesesne, Lakendra D. Perkins, Andrea T. Spears and Zanaiah Spears, all of Sumter; three sisters, Geneva Spears and Walnetta Spears, both of Sumter, and Sally (Richard) Davis of Providence, R.I.; seven sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; seven aunts; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lucinda Richardson and Aline Hodge; one sister, Anna L. Wells; one brother, Johnny Spears Jr.; and one niece, Dawn Byrd.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah AME Church with the Rev. O'Neal Miller, pastor, assisted by the Revs. Henry Murray, Robert Galloway, Drusilla Harvin and Emanuel Davis. Burial will be in the Beulah AME Church cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 909 Franklin Lane, Sumter, SC 29150.

Job's Mortuary Inc. of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.

ROBERTA D. BLANDING

Ms Roberta Denise Blanding, 43, died Nov. 5, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born June 2, 1961, in Sumter, she as a daughter of Mr. Robert Blanding Sr. and Mrs. Barbara Franklin Blanding. Ms. Blanding attended Sumter County public schools and was a 1979 Sumter High School graduate. Upon graduation, she attended the University of South Carolina and later joined the United States armed forces, serving as a military police. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors besides her parents include her children, Crystal Blanding of Rock Hill, Michael, Hope and Keshawn, all of the home; three sisters, Rhonda Blanding, Lydia Blanding, both of Sumter, and Cassandra Dinkins of Rochester; three brothers, Ronald Blanding, of Rochester, N.Y., Gregory Blanding of Lockport, N.Y., and Robert Blanding Jr. of Baltimore; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; a maternal grandmother, Dorothy Dupont, and a paternal grandmother, Rosa Blanding, bother of Sumter; eight aunts; seven uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Blanding; a paternal grandfather, Junious Blanding Sr.; and a maternal grandfather, Norman Dupont.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. N. Lamonte Newsome, pastor, officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Beulah AME Church cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the residence, 604 Atlantic St., Sumter.

FANNIE S. SANDERS

Fannie Sanders Dennis, 81, widow of Willie Dennis, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden.

She was born July 7, 1923, in Sumter County, a daughter of the late Deacon James "Dury" Sanders and Ella Young Sanders.

Fannie accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age and became a member of the Rafting Creek Baptist Church and later joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, after marriage. Fannie was very unique in that she reared eight of her brothers and sisters and 11 children.

Survivors include two sons, Frank (Joann) Dennis of Rembert and Fredrick (Mary) Dennis of Camden; a stepson, Leroy (Alice) Herriott of Manhattan, N.Y.; five daughters, Ruth Wilder of Brooklyn, N.Y., Betty Butler of Queens, N.Y., Mamie (Johnny) Johnson of Camden, Barbara Dennis of Rembert and Steen M. Sanders of Wilmington, Del., a stepdaughter, Evelyn Sanders of Rembert; three brothers, Tom (Lurine) Sanders, Willie (Nancy) Sanders, Edgar (Emily) Sanders, all of Rembert; five sisters, Mary Battle of Washington, D.C., Mamie (Billie) Wilson of Capitol Height, Md., Louise (Sammie) Graham of Dalzell, Alberta (Johnnie) Williams of Laurelton, N.Y., and Steral (John) Singleton of Rembert; her stepmother, Louise Sanders of Rembert; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Earnest, Willie Jr., and Otha Dennis; a daughter, Julia Dennis; and five brothers, Joseph, James, John, George and Owens Sanders.

The remains will be placed at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Rembert, at 1 p.m. Thursday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. The Rev. Anthony Taylor, pastor, eulogist, will officiate assisted by the Rev. Willie Dennis, the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Davis and elder James W. Mickens. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. Floral bearers will be nieces.

The procession will leave at 1:15 p.m. from her home, 3920 Spencer Road, Rembert.

The family will receive friends at her home, 3920 Spencer Road, Rembert.

Williams Funeral Home, 821 N. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.

BRANDON A. CRIBB

MANNING – Brandon Allen Cribb, 23, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in Georgetown.

Born Aug. 12, 1981, in Sumter, he was a son of Phil Allen and Betty Daniels Cribb. He was a member of Manning United Methodist Church. Brandon was a talented musician whose soul and music were intertwined in harmony, a 1999 honor graduate of Manning High School, and was to graduate with honors from Central Carolina in the spring.

Surviving, besides his parents of Manning, are a sister, Kerrie Cribb of Manning; a brother, Kevin Cribb of Manning; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Debra A.S. Quilling officiating. Burial will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brad Cribb, Jason Richburg, Sam Stewart, Jeff Dennis, Don Fink and Max Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be the Manning High School Class of 1999.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 1208 Heritage Drive.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning is in charge of the arrangements.

GEORGE R. QUINN

George Ray "Boogie" Quinn, 56, husband of Kathleen M. Quinn, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home.

Born in New Bern, N.C., he was the son of the late George Frederick Quinn and the late Marie Garner Quinn.

He was retired from the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.

Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include a son, Raymond Michael Quinn and his wife, Wendy, of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Cheryl A. Mendiola and her husband, Joey, of Dalzell; his twin sister, Faye Q. Luellen of Richmond, Va.; two granddaughters, Heather Renee Phillips and Hailey Alexis Quinn; an aunt and uncle, Lillian and Kit Heath of New Bern and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Bowers officiating.

Burial will be in Florence National cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Joey and Cheryl Mendiola.
