HOMER WEATHERLY
Homer Weatherly, 95, widower of Ann St. John Weatherly, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Fla.
Mr. Weatherly was the son of the late Abner and Emma Weatherly.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Valley Stream, N.Y., and attended Anona Methodist Church in Largo. He attended school in Sumter and graduated from the Boys High School in 1926. He was an outstanding volleyball player in Harrisburg, Pa., in the 1940s and was captain of the Jamaica, N.Y., YMCA's Championship team. He was retired from the Long Island Railroad as Engineer of SIgnals.
Surviving are one son, David Weatherly and wife, Jerri, of Madiera Beach, Fla.; four daughters, Catherine Kubik and husband, Tom, of Hauppauge, N.Y., Marion Schultz of Brentwood, N.Y., Essie Haberstumf and husband, Herb, of Flushing, N.Y., and Laura Ann Modugno and husband, Charles, of Valley Steam, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a niece, Pat Gates and husband, Ralph, of Sumter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Weatherly; a daughter, Nancy Weatherly; a granddaughter, Robin Weatherly; two sisters, Laurie Johnston and Essie Spratt; and a brother, A.W. Weatherly.
Services will be held at a later date.

WALTER M. LeNOIR Sr.
Horatio -- Walter Marion LeNoir Sr., 84, husband of Leilah Owens LeNoir, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at his home.
Born in Horatio, he was the son of the late Walter Marion LeNoir and the late Rose Wessinger LeNoir.
Mr. LeNoir was a member of the Church of the Ascension at Hagood, where he served as a senior warden and a vestry member. He was retired from McCollum Motors and was a retired Sumter County magistrate. He was also a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.
Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Walter Marion LeNoir Jr. and his wife, Dianne, and David Gaillard LeNoir and his wife, Lynn; two daughters, Virginia LeNoir DuBose and her husband, Ladson, and Margaret LeNoir Kinder and her husband, Thomas; three grandchildren, Walter Marion LeNoir III and his wife, Lisa, David Gaillard LeNoir Jr., and Laura LeNoir Hoge and her husband, Michal; a step-grandson, Brandon Philip Hawkins; three great-grandchildren, Michal Hoge Jr., Mandi LeNoir and Megan LeNoir; a sister, Margaret LeNoir Williams; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the Church of the Ascension at Hagood with the Rev. Harry E. Lawhon Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Gaillard LeNoir Jr., Ladson Montgomery DuBose, Stephen DuBose LeNoir, Robert Calvin Hanna II, Francis Thomas Brown, Charles Sanders Barstow, Howard Weaver Williams and Frank LeNoir Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert T. Brown Jr., Harold B. Odom, Samuel Isaac LeNoir, Burrell M. Moore, Raymond R. Cook Jr., William M. Reynolds Jr., Cecil H. Hanna and Michal W. Hoge.
The family received friends Sunday at the home.

RIMINI -- Mary Ballard Webber, 80, widow of Curtis Webber, died Nov. 10, 2004, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.
Born July 17, 1924, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Harper Ballard and Virginia Nelson Ballard.
She was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County. Early in life, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Antioch UME Church.
Survivors include one son, Dallas C. Webber, of Landover, Md.; four daughters, Shirley M. Bell, Dorothy R. Brown, Mary A. Joseph, all of Bronx, N.Y., and Kanzora W. Robinson of Pinewood; two sons-in-law, James Brown and Melvin Joseph Sr.; one brother, Jimmie R. Ballard of Rimini; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Rannie Webber; two brothers, Louis and Manning Ballard; and one sister, Virginia B. Plater.
The wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
The remains will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Antioch UME Church (New Branch), Old River Road, Rimini, with the Rev. Jonathan Smith, pastor and eulogist, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Roosevelt Boyd.
Burial will be in Antioch UME Church Yard cemetery, Rimini.

HIGHPOINT, N.C. -- Ruth Colclough, 73, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Triad.
Born June 18, 1931, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late David and Annie Sumpter Porter.
The family will receive friends at the home of Virginia Ardis, 19 Newman St., Sumter, SC 29150.
Services will be announced by Job's Mortuary Inc. of Sumter.
MONIQUE A. JACKSON
Monique Alicia "Lisa" Jackson, 19, died Nov. 11, 2004, at 210 Lois Lane, Sumter.
Born Feb. 2, 1985, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Nathaniel Jackson and Leathonia "Lee" Johnson Jackson. She received her formal education in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Will Lou Gray Vocational Academy in 2002. She was attending Central Carolina Technical College, majoring in surgical technology. She was to be a 2005 graduate.
Survivors besides her parents, Nathaniel and Leathonia Jackson of Sumter, and grandparents, Ernest and Ruth Johnson of Sumter, include three sisters, Natasha (Matthew) Cooper of Sumter, Denise and Pamela Jackson of New York City.
A wake service will be held from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning.
The casket will be placed in the church at noon Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Baptist Church, Bloomville community of Manning, with the Rev. Otis Wright Sr., pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. O'Danald Dingle and the Rev. Leroy McElveen.

Theo Mose Clark, 90, of Sumter, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kistler Chapel of Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home in Darlington, conducted by the Rev. Robert Eubanks. Burial will follow in Grove Hill cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born in Salisbury, N.C. He was a retired chief master sergeant of the United States Air Force. Mr. Clark was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Sumter.
Survivors include two sons, John (Susan) Clark of Charlotte, N.C., and James Clark of Sumter; one sister, Elizabeth Linebarger of Salisbury, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
EMMA M. CLEA
Emma Miller Clea, 84, widow of Sam Clea, died Nov. 11, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born March 15, 1920, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland Miller and Helen Youngs Miller. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She accepted Christ at an early age at Rafting Creek Baptist Church and then later transferred her membership to Greater Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, David (Alpha) Clea; two daughters, Helen Diggs and Alice (William) Dillon; one stepdaughter, Nicky (James) Washington, all of Rembert; one brother, John Miller of Sumter; four sisters, Theresa Dennis, Mimmie Mayrant, Queen Dennis and Georgia (Arthur) Floyd, all of Rembert; 31 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Sam Clea Jr.; four sisters, Virginia Dixon, Elizabeth Mayrant, May Ellen Moody and Leola Sanders; and three brothers, James, Samson and Isiah Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from Greater Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Miller Road, with the Rev. Marvin Hodge, pastor, eulogist.
Burial will be in Rafting Creek Baptist Churchyard cemetery, Dalzell.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

MANNING -- Martha Ann Mouzon Owens, 55, wife of James Owens, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.
Born Feb. 10, 1949, in Manning, she was a daughter of Sallie Williams Mouzon and the late Rev. Johnny Mouzon Sr.

DON PACE
Don Pace, 67, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Marion County, he was the son of the late Jimmy E. Pace and the late Isabelle Brown Pace. He was a member of Smithville Evangelical Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret P. Amerson and Jean P. Shaw, both of Florence; two brothers, a twin brother, Dan Pace of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ralph Pace of Columbia; extended family, James and Marie Regan and their children, Brendan, Thomas, Anne and Adam; David and Tina Kirby and his children, Tyler, Austin and Dalton; Guy and Sandy Kirby and their children, Hunter and Joseph; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Woodrow Pace, James Pace and Johnny Pace.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Gaymon officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
