Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James W. Grubbs and sister, Norma Gardner.

Survivors include one half-sister, Betty Jane Wilson, Brookfield, Missouri; daughters, M. Nannette Frye (Edward R.), Summerton, South Carolina, and Nancy A. Christine graduated Northwestern High School, Mendon, Missouri as Valedictorian in 1952 and graduated nurses training at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri in 1955. She began her nursing career at St. Francis Hospital, Marceline, Missouri, working until 1959 when she was hired by Dr. B.D Howell where she worked alongside her dear friend, Doris Mossbarger. She was hired as the Director of Nursing of St. Francis Hospital in 1962. In 1967 she became a surgical nurse for Drs. Smith, Gary and Todd, Brookfield, Missouri. She was a member of the AANA, and a tireless healthcare provider, missing many personal and family events to do her job.
Christine’s greatest joys were her work, her family, traveling, and the medical missions she participated in, funded, supplied, and staffed, working in Africa and Honduras.
