Jerald Anthony Jennings, 37, of 500 Lorene Drive Southwest, Marietta Ga., died Monday, July 15, 2002, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral plans will be announced by Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of his father, Jimmy Jennings, 735 Manning Street, Orangeburg, and at the funeral home.

Gary R. 'Bubba' Jones Jr. -- Neeses

Gary R. "Bubba" Jones Jr., 30, of 406 Middle Willow Road, Neeses, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Stan Hughes and the Rev. Tommy Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church cemetery in Cope.

Active pallbearers will be Tony Still, Wesley Wade, Mike Hughes, Stephen Hyde, Frank D. Shuler, Tommy Burbage, Jimmy Smith, George Brunson and Charles J. Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Bolentown Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Jones was born July 14, 1972, in Orangeburg, a son of Gary Richard Jones Sr. and Melinda Henry Jones Gunby. He was employed by Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. He was a volunteer with Bolentown Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Elloree.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Zeigler Jones of Neeses; a son, Timothy C. Marchant of Neeses; a daughter, Kaitlyn B. Jones of Neeses; his father, Gary Richard Jones Sr. of Elloree; mother and stepfather, Melinda and Steve Gunby of Cordova; two brothers, Steven D. Jones of Cordova and Steven Gunby of Texas; two sisters, Tammy Athey of Cordova and Teressa Taylor of Myrtle Beach; grandmothers, Edna Henry of Orangeburg, Annie Jones of Elloree; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kirk and Tammy Zeigler of Orangeburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Jerry Zeigler of Neeses; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Friends may call at the residence, 406 Middle Willow Road, Neeses and Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to S.C. Bank and Trust; trust for children of Gary R. Jones Jr., c/o Debbie Rutledge, 1255 St. Matthews Road, P.O. Box 1287, Orangeburg, SC, 29116-1287.

Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.

Annie Ruth Moody --Denmark

Mrs. Annie Ruth Moody of Denmark died Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Franklin United Methodist Church, Denmark, with the Rev. Harry V. Nesmith officiating. Burial will follow in Bamberg Memory Gardens, Hwy. 78, Bamberg.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lebby's Funeral Home of Denmark.

Ms. Olivia G. Huge -- Bronx, N.Y.

Ms. Olivia G. Huge, 72, of 1 Fordham Hill Oval, Bronx, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002.

Funeral plans will be announced by Eutawville Community Funeral Home of Eutawville.

Survivors include brothers, John Henry Summers of Charleston, Samuel S. Griffin, Leroy Griffin and John Griffin, all of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Margaree G. Quarles and Janie G. Williams, both of Baltimore, Md. Ethel Wright of New Jersey; a special cousin, Harvey Asbury of Vance.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilhelmina Ruth Johnson Jones -- Orangeburg

Mrs. Wilhelmina Ruth Johnson Jones, 88, of The Methodist Oaks, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.

Funeral plans will be announced by Jones Funeral Home of Cope.

Friends may call at the home of her son, the Rev. E. T. Jones Jr.

Ms. Christabelle Livingston -- North

Funeral services for Ms. Christabelle Livingston, 88, of 827 Iva Road, North, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Maloney Baptist Church near North, with the Rev. M. Knight officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ms. Livingston died Thursday, Dec. 5.

She was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Kitt and Henrietta Thomas Livingston and step-daughter of the late Mrs. Emma Lue "Lucy" Black. She was a resident of Washington, D.C. until she returned to North in Aug. 1997. She was a member of Maloney Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary (Henry) Sanders and Mrs. Emma L. (Willie Jr.) Perry, both of North; five brothers, David L. (Leiah) Durant of Felton, Delaware, the Rev. Mario Durant and James Livingston, both of North, the Rev. Joseph (Bertha) Durant of Winter Haven, Fla. and Thomas Livingston of Swansea.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at W. B. Crumel Funeral Home of North.

Friends may call at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Willie C. "Bubba" (Emma) Perry Jr. of 827 Iva Road, North and at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pauline R. Martin -- North Myrtle Beach

Mrs. Pauline R. Martin, 71, of Tilghman Forest, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, with the Rev. Bo Stalcup officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Mrs. Martin was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Spring City, Tenn., a daughter of the late James R. and Lillian Bartholomew Wilson. She came to North Myrtle Beach from Fairfield, Ohio in 1996. She was an executive assistant for GE Aircraft Engine Group in Evendale, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin E. Martin; two daughters, Sue (Mike) Johnson of Charleston, W.Va., Carol (Greg) Browning of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Jeff Martin and wife, Lisa; brother, Charles Wilson and wife, Alice of Spring City, Tenn.; two sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Johnston of Surfside Beach, Nell Samoff and husband, Irving (M.D.) of Roslyn Heights, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Building Fund, 809-82nd Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

McMillan-Small Funeral Home of Myrtle Beach is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Betty Gene Winn Proveaux -- Neeses

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Gene Winn Proveaux, 57, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Mount Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Henry Chavis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Jackson, Pat Jackson, Steven James, Jay Riley, Walt Russell and Edgar Hutto.

Mrs. Proveaux died Saturday, Dec. 7.

She was born in McCormick County, a daughter of the late James Carroll and Carrie Geneva Ridlehoover Winn. She was a teacher's aide and a member of Mount Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Proveaux of Neeses; stepdaughter, Sherry Allen of Pelion; stepson, Charles H. Proveaux Jr. of Leesville; sisters, Mary Ann Riley of Greenwood, Carolyn Jackson of Aiken, Miriam James of St. George, Gail Collier and Terry Jones, both of Plum Branch; six grandchildren.

The family is at the home of Charles Proveaux Jr., 420 Lee Gunter Road in the Fairview Community, Leesville, and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home of North.

A. Wayne Rickenbaker -- St. Matthews

A. Wayne Rickenbaker, 47, of 1434 Old Belleville Road, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia.

Funeral plans will be announced by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home and at other times at the residence, 1434 Old Belleville Road, St. Matthews.

Anthony Levy Taiste -- Cross

Funeral services for Anthony Levy Taiste, 37, of 112 Rover Bend Road, Cross, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Cross, with the Rev. David Brisborn officiating. Burial will be in Walworth cemetery in Eutawville.

Mr. Taiste died Thursday, Dec. 5, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 20, 1965, in Cross, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Lillie Mae Taiste. He attended the public schools of Berkeley County.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Taiste; two sons, James Levy Lewis of Bowman, and Anthony D. Casey of Cross; five brothers, Johnny Lee Taiste of Eutawville, Benjamin Taiste of Cross, Nathaniel Taiste, Joseph Taiste and Eric Taiste, all of Eutawville; grandmother, Mrs. Mary Taiste of Loris.

Friends may call at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lillie and James Taiste of 122 Rover Bend Road, Cross.

Eutawville Community Funeral Home of Eutawville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Gilmore 'Priss' Williams -- Norway

Mrs. Patricia Ann Gilmore "Priss" Williams, 46, of 136 Maple Street, Norway, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Funeral plans will be announced by Knotts Funeral Home of Norway.

Friends may call at the home and at the funeral home.

Alfredo L. James Lewis -- Orangeburg

Alfredo L. James Lewis, 22, of 1310 Pador Lane, Orangeburg, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

Funeral plans will be announced by Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Brenda Lewis, 1310 Pador Lane, Orangeburg.

Mrs. Lillie Mae Wicks Arant -- Bowman

Mrs. Lillie Mae Wicks Arant, 95, of Homestead Road, Bowman, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Bethel United Methodist Church, on the Charleston Highway, with the Rev. Jimmy Smoak and the Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Perry Arant, Coy H. Arant Jr., Michael T. Arant, David B. Funchess, Mark Davis and Woody Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be John Sterling, Red Brewington, E.O. Hudson Jr., H.T. Austin Jr. and members of Bethel United Methodist Church Adult Sunday School class.

Mrs. Arant was born May 25, 1907, in Bowman, a daughter of the late George W. Wicks and Maria Safira Frederica Funchess Wicks. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, the Bethel United Methodist Missionary Society, the International Order of Kings and Daughters and Sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Arant Sr. and two sons, Henry Clay Arant Jr. and Fredye T. Arant.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby E. Arant and Betty J. Arant, both of Rowesville; daughters-in-law, Judy Arant of Elloree and Sara Arant Shelley of Aynor; brother, Lynn Wicks of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby (Betty) E. Arant, 4906 Charleston, Hwy., Rowesville and at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church c/o Mary D. Arant, 4947 Charleston Hwy., Rowesville, SC 29133 or the King's Daughter's Home, 1526 Glover St., Orangeburg, SC 29115.

Abraham Green -- Cordova

Abraham Green, 25, of 180 Guiomar Road, Cordova, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center.
