HEATH SPRINGS, SC - Ms. Cheryl Ann Faile, age 52, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at her home. She was born November 24, 1959 in Monroe, NC, the daughter of the late Ernest Lavon Faile and Biddy Ann Faile Faile. Ms. Faile was a homemaker and a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church.

Ms. Faile is survived by a son, Richard Dean Holcomb and his fiancé Jessica of Kershaw, a daughter, Allison “Nicky” Holcomb and her fiancé Ben of Kershaw, 2 brothers, Russell Faile and Stanley Faile both of Kershaw, and 2 grandchildren, Tyler Dean Holcomb and Kameron Dean Baker and another grandchild on the way to be named Chaeyannah Nicole Baker.

Ms. Faile was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Richard Faile.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Faile will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Charlesboro Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Plyler and Rev. Steve Neal. Burial will follow at Blackmon cemetery.

The Family of Ms. Faile will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the church and suggests memorials to Charlesboro Baptist Church or Hospice of SC, 412 N. White Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Catherine Ingram
(January 4, 1924 - January 13, 2012)
LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Catherine Marie Ingram, age 88, of 998 Sherwood Circle, died January 13, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born January 4, 1924 in Sharon, PA the daughter of the late Pasquale Fauceglia and Anna Manzo Fauceglia and was the wife of the late Edward J. “Red” Ingram. Mrs. Ingram was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star and a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Ingram is survived by a son, Richard Ingram and his wife Linda of Rock Hill, 2 brothers, Pat Fauceglia of Raleigh, NC and Ted Fauceglia of Chicago, IL, a sister, Thelma Novak of Los Angeles, CA, 2 grandchildren, Ashley Rock and her husband Mike and Chris Ingram and his wife Debbie and 2 great grandchildren, Aidan and Madden Rock.

Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Eddie Fauceglia and a sister, Sophie Zetcus.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Ingram will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Gordon Hamilton.

FORT LAWN, SC - Mrs. Sinnie Mae Woodle Roddey, age 92, died January 24, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living where she was a resident. She was born November 21, 1919 in Chester County, a daughter of the late John William Woodle and Mary Frances Dickey Woodle and was the wife of the late Belven B. “B.B” Roddey, Jr. Mrs. Roddey was a homemaker and a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church. Mrs. Roddey was the last member of her immediate family; survived only by 2 nephews, Broxie Nelson of Raleigh, NC, and Harry Nelson of Texas, a niece Pat Bolden and her caretakers, Debbie and Howard Williams of Lancaster.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Roddey will be 11:00 am, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Fort Lawn Baptist Church by Rev. Ted Hodges. Burial will follow at Elmwood cemetery. Patricia Fields
(June 12, 1942 - February 10, 2012)
LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Patricia Branham Fields, age 69, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1942 in Bishopville, SC, the daughter of the late Vernon Branham and Lois Ray Branham and was the wife of the late Wayne M. Fields. Mrs. Fields was the former owner of MacFields Supply Company and a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Mrs. Fields is survived by a son, Michael W. Fields and his wife Lisa of Columbia, a daughter, Kathy F. Maness and her husband Amiel of Lexington, a brother Ray Branham and his wife Lauren of Rock Hill, and 5 grandchildren, Rebekah Cauthen, Patrick Cauthen, Jonathan Maness, Abigail Fields and Jackson Fields.

Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Fields Cauthen.

WAXHAW, NC - Mr. Wade Hampton Hegler, Jr., age 71, of 7105 Tirzah Church Road, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born October 1, 1940 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Wade Hampton Hegler, Sr. and Margaret Steele Hegler and was the husband of Donna Knight Hegler. Mr. Hegler was a retired Entrepreneur, of the Baptist Faith and served in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Hegler is survived by his wife, Donna Knight Hegler of the home, 2 sons, Dale Wade Hegler and his wife Denise of Rock Hill, and Damon Lee Hegler of Lancaster, a sister, Rickie Daniels and her husband Jerry of Columbia, SC and 2 grandchildren, Matthew Lee Hegler and Brandon Kyle Hegler.

March 23, 1920 - January 17, 2012
INDIAN LAND, SC - Mrs. Yeong Ok Pak, age 91, died January 17, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 23, 1920 in South Korea, the daughter of the late Mosuk Pak and Wal Soon Huang. Mrs. Pak was a homemaker and a member of Southern Korean Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Pak is survived by 4 sons, Boung Soo Chi of Indian Land, SC, Yong Kwang Chi of Seoul, Korea, Yang Soo Chi of Worthington, OH, Yun Soo Chi of Gahanna, OH, 2 daughters, Mi-Cha Choe of Gardena, CA, and Ok-Ja Lee of Lynnwood, WA, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Pak will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Hartley Funeral Home by Pastor Sung S. Song

Joyce Galloway
August 11, 1936 - January 19, 2012
LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Joyce Coker Galloway, age 75, of 1757 Williams Circle, died January 19, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born August 11, 1936 in Ruby, SC, the daughter of the late Clarence Coker and Lizzie Mae Rodgers Coker and was the wife of the late George A. Galloway. Mrs. Galloway retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Jones Crossroads Baptist Church.

Mrs. Galloway is survived by a 2 sons, George S. Galloway and his wife Gail, Tim Hall and his wife Melinda, 5 daughters, Rachel Ellis and her husband Emmett, Deborah Hudson and her husband Richard, Linda Merritt, Robin Darrow and her husband Robert, and Renee Bailey and her husband Andy, a sister, Etta Rae Plyler all of Lancaster, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Galloway was preceded in death by a son, William Crego.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Galloway will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Rev. Bill Fleming with entombment to follow.

Annie Williams
(July 7, 1925 - February 6, 2012)
LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Annie Harper Williams, age 86, died February 6, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born July 7, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Vernon Grier Harper and Agnes Harper Harper and was the wife of the late John William Williams. Mrs. Williams retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Williams is survived by a brother, Ned Grier Harper and his wife Mary of Lancaster, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ray Harper.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Williams will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family of Mrs. Williams will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Thompson Family Life Center and the family suggests memorials be made to Zion United Methodist Church, Thompson Family Life Center, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Bettina “Betty” Taylor Hall, age 76, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Lancaster Convalescent Center where she was a resident. She was born November 5, 1935 in Fletcher VT, the daughter of the late Orange Taylor and Nelda Sweet Taylor and was the wife of Richard S. “Dick” Hall. Mrs. Hall was retired from retail sales and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Hall of the home and a sister, Mary Lou Matochas of Mount Dora, FL.

Mrs. Hall was preceded by a brother, Oakley Taylor.

Mrs. Hall will be cremated at Hartley Crematory. There will be no services and the family suggests memorial contributions to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 667 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.

Vera Murphy

LANCASTER, SC - Mrs. Vera Ellen Bowers Murphy, age 86, of The Village of India Hook in Rock Hill and formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born March 22, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Fred Bowers and Ella Croxton Bowers and was the wife of the late Grover Cleveland Murphy, Jr. Mrs. Murphy was a retired receptionist for Springs Industries – Customer Service Office and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a long time member of the Ola Mae Weir Mission Group, the PLC Sunday School Class and the Oasis Program with First Baptist Church in Lancaster. She was an avid gardner and enjoyed her membership at the Accolade Garden Club in Rock Hill.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by a daughter, Sherry M. Easley and her husband Bill of Rock Hill, 2 grandchildren gained later in life, Will Easley and his wife Terrie and Nancy E. Faulkner and her husband Hugh all of Greenville, SC, 3 great grandchildren, Liam Easley, Pearce Easley and Hugh Faulkner and her grand dog Hannah.

Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Howard Bowers, Woodrow Bowers, Ray Bowers and Carl Bowers.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Murphy will be 11:30 am Saturday, January 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church by Rev. Roland Freeman and Rev. Scott Freeman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Edward Barry Black
Travelers Rest

Edward B. Black, 51, of 2873 Tigerville Road, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Bernice Coleman Black and the late William Edward Black. Mr. Black was a former embroidery designer and attended Woodside Church of God.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Marcia Black; daughters, Amanda (Rick) Miller, Roxana (Jonathan) Lewis; son, Zach Black; brother, Joey Black; sister, Annette Green; and grandchildren, Bailey Lewis, Dalton Lewis, and Austin Miller.

Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Woodside Church of God.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from noon to 1 p.m. at Woodside Church of God.

The family will be at 910 Jackson Grove Road, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.

The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.

Nannie Mae Ferguson
Spartanburg

Mrs. Nannie Mae Ferguson, 95, of Greenville, S.C., went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 01, 2006, at Skylan Place in Spartanburg, S.C.

Born in Pickens County, she was the wife of the late John Frank Ferguson and a daughter of the late Leila and Lawrence Cisson, and mother to two sons, Lawrence Ferguson, and his wife, Barbara, of Spartanburg, and the late Thomas Ferguson, and his wife, Sybil, of Greenville.

Mrs. Ferguson was the oldest member of Berea First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in the "Fidelis" Sunday School Class, as well as the Senior Adult Choir.

Throughout the years she served at Berea, she touched the lives of countless children by demonstrating the love of Christ to them.

Others left to cherish fond and loving memories are four grandchildren, Pam Brown (Richard), of Atlanta, Ricky Ferguson (Sue), of Greenville, Chip Ferguson (Laurie), of Spartanburg, and Ronnie Ferguson of Greenville; six great-grandchildren, Laura Cooksey (Kyle) of Nashville, Victoria and Annalee Ferguson, of Spartanburg, Halen Ferguson and Sarah and Sally Ferguson, all of Greenville; two sisters, Edith Evans and Addie Lou Ware (Edmund) of Greenville; and 18 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be noon Monday at Berea First Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville, SC 29611, or Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

Honorary escorts at the funeral will be the "Fidelis" Sunday School Class, the Senior Adult Choir, and the "HH" Girls.

The family will be at the home, 9473 Old White Horse Road, Greenville.

Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, is serving the Ferguson family.
