The family is at 1701 E. Durst Avenue. Born in Greenville to Elbert Clanton and Louise Bice Clanton Hunter, he died January 18, 2005. Mildred Douglas
CHARLESTON — Mildred Googe Douglas, 71, of Charleston Heights, SC, widow of David O. Douglas Sr., passed away 1-18-2005 at her home.
Born April 22, 1933 in Fairfax, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Googe and Virgie Lee Davis Googe. She was a retired banker and devoted homemaker.
A son, David O. Douglas, Jr. and his wife Jill Mahaffey Douglas survive her. Also surviving her are four daughters, Dell Ann Morrison and husband Steve Morrison, Amy E. Douglas, Carol D. Joyner and husband Greg Joyner, and Melinda D. Miller. She has eight grandchildren, Gabrielle Douglas Rabalais, Jonathan Douglas, Emily Douglas, Megan Haupt, Mallory Haupt, Amanda Joyner, Jeremy Miller, and Matthew Miller. She has two great granddaughters, Katelynn Saunders and Ramona Saunders. A sister, Willie Lou Moore and brother Jerry J. Googe survive her. A brother, William M. Googe preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held 6-8 on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 20, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Charleston Chapter or the Kidney Foundation of Charleston.

Laura Gulledge
RUBY — Mrs. Laura Cleo Jordan Gulledge, 91, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home. She was born to Charlie Z and Nora Steen Jordan on April 18, 1913, in Mt. Croghan, SC. She was a graduate of Ruby High School. She married Fred H. Gulledge and was the mother of four children. Her only daughter, Louise Gulledge Lee, preceded her in death and she was also preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, two brothers, and three sisters. Mrs. Gulledge was a homemaker, a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by three sons, Samuel Gulledge of Kannapolis and Terrell, NC, Vinson Gulledge of Kannapolis, NC, and Van Gulledge of Columbia, SC. Also surviving are one sister, Katie Brady of Cayce, SC, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Friday, January 21, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. The casket will be placed in the Church Sanctuary for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Mr. Keisler died Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Born in Leesville a son of the late Dr. David and Frances Hutto Keisler. He was a 50 year member of the B-L Masonic Lodge, a Marine veteran of WWII, a member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 41 years of service.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Kellie (Matt) K. Peebles of Wallace, NC, and Karla (Johnny) K. Powell of Leesville; brother, William Keisler of Leesville; grandchildren, Alicia Powell and Melissa Peebles. He was predeceased by his wife Nellie M. Keisler; brother, David Keisler; sisters, Pauline Aull, Florence Lucas, Grace Buck, Mary Kamman.
