ST. MATTHEWS — Matthew Austin Cook, 1, died Monday.

Funeral--3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Providence Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation--6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Jeremy Caldwell

WINNSBORO — Services with burial for Jeremy Rashad Caldwell, 16, sophomore at Fairfield Central High School, are 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Baptist Church, where he was a member. Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home is in charge. Born in Fairfield Co. to Mac and Linda Padgett Caldwell, he died Jan. 18, 2005. Surviving: parents; siblings, Atoya, Bryan, Miya, Brandy; half sister, Rashonda Thompson.

Alfred Coleman Sr.

BATESBURG — Services with burial for Alfred Coleman Sr., 89, son of the late Edward and Gertrude Coleman, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME. Walters-Davis Funeral Chapel is in charge. He died January 18, 2005. Surviving are wife, Janie; daughters, Gladys Cullum, Ann Cyrus, Doristine Cullum, Lucretia Leaphart; son, Lawrence Coleman.

Richard Baxley

CAMDEN — Memorial services for Richard Eugene Baxley, 62, will be held at a later date. Mr. Baxley died Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Thomas Kenneth and Martha Maeola Sharp Baxley. He was a self-employed painter and a member of Camden Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Hinojosa of Camden, son, Thomas Baxley of Camden, sisters, Martha Vaughn of Camden and Miriam McGuire of New Ulm, Texas , brother, William Baxley of Camden. Memorials may be made to Camden Freewill Baptist Church, 1205 Gardner St., Camden, SC 29020.

James Outlaw Jr.

BISHOPVILLE — James Leo Outlaw Jr., 58, husband of Cynthia Davis Outlaw, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at his home.

Born in Hartsville, he was a son of the late James Leo Outlaw Sr. and the late Gladys Hopkins Outlaw.

He was a member of Concord Methodist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors besides his wife, include a daughter, Holly Outlaw of Bishopville; two sons, Timothy O. Outlaw and Ashley R. Outlaw, both of Bishopville; two sisters, Yvonne Shirley of Bishopville and Deborah McClellan of Maryland; a brother, Curtis Outlaw of Bishopville; four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Concord Methodist Church with Rev. Barbee Parsons officiating.

Burial will be in Concord Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Friday at the church, at other times at 2045 Lucknow Road, Bishopville.

Memorials may be made to Concord Methodist Church.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of arrangements.

Eunice Keziah

BISHOPVILLE — Eunice D. Keziah, 75, widow of Charles A. Keziah, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at her home.

Born in Fairfield County, she was a daughter of the late Dave Dawkins and the late Lillie Dawkins.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Keziah; two sons, Charles Wesley Keziah and his wife, Kay, and Marion W. Keziah and his wife, Darlene; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Peacock and Rev. Mike Baynai officiating.

Burial will be in the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home, 702 West Church St., Bishopville.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of arrangements.

Myra Reese

CHAPIN — Myra Elaine Bradey Reese, 83, of Chapin, formerly of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at her home following a lengthy illness. Born September 21, 1921, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ralph and Minnie Lee Bailey Bradey and the wife of the late Melvin C. Reese. She was a retired office manager and executive secretary at Carolina Scenic Trailways and Carolina Insurance and Investment with over forty years of service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg for over fifty years. She served as a board member for Mountainview Nursing Home, a volunteer Gray Lady, and a member of the Pilot Club and the Spartanburg Country Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane A. Bryant and her husband, J.F. (Tim) Bryant of Chapin; a grandson, J. Timothy Bryant and his wife, Renee Bryant of St. Petersburg, FL; a granddaughter, Kathryn B. Riehm and her husband, Charles E. Riehm, III of Easley; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12-12:45 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. Mark S. Bredholt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the South Carolina State Library Talking Book Services, P.O. Box 821, Columbia, SC 29202; or to Hospice Care of Tri-County, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.

Ben Osborne Jr.

CAMDEN — Services with burial for Ben Osborne Jr., 81, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rafting Creek Baptist Church. Collins Funeral Home is in charge. Born in Sumter County to Ben Sr. and Christina Osborne, he attended Rafting Creek Baptist Church and Rafting Creek School. Surviving are sisters, Juanita Edwards, Alice Parker; brother, Sergeant Major Teddie Osborne (Ret.).

Etta Sims

BLAIR — Services for Etta Ruth J. Sims, 79, 4 p.m. Saturday: Gethsemane Baptist Church. Burial: Little River Presby. Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, Winnsboro, is in charge. Born in Fairfield Co. to Thomas and Annie Sims Jackson, she died Jan. 19, 2005. Surviving: children, Charlie, Arthur, Nathaniel, Melvin, Jimmie Sims, Rayetta Willis, Mamie Woodard; brothers, Frank, Joe, Lawrence Jackson.

Alison Williams

WARNER ROBBINS, Ga. — A memorial service for Alison Marie Williams, 31, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, S.C., with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Born in Rahway, N.J., to Walter and Rosalind Larson Williams, she died Jan. 17, 2005. She was an aviation technician for the U.S. Navy. Surviving: father; daughter, Megan; sisters, Maureen Davis, Lisa Heim.

GREENWOOD — Services for Daniel Benjamin “Danny” Link, 40, are 2:30 p.m. today at Blyth Funeral Home with entombment in Oakbrook Memorial Gardens. Born in Abbeville to William Sr. and Linda Crump Link, he died Jan. 20, 2005. Surviving are father; stepmother, Cheryl; brother, William Jr.; grandmother, Sammie Coleman; uncle, Eddy Coleman; stepbrother, Dru Dail; stepsister, Dawn Callaway.
