THOMAS AUGUSTUS DREW, 76, beloved husband, partner and companion of Miriam Hancock Drew, entered into rest Saturday, November 19, 2005 at St. Jospeh’s Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Private funeral services will be held at Street Place Plantation in Jefferson County, GA.

A native of Burke County, GA, Mr. Drew was a son of the late Thomas Augustus Drew and Della Inez Moore Gray. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and was elected vice-president of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity while at UGA. Mr. Drew was a retired supervisor at the Savannah River Site. He had a great love for his wife’s home place, Street Place Plantation in Jefferson and Burke Counties, where he loved hunting quail and wild turkeys. He was also an avid salt water fisherman and horseman. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, Quail Unlimited and the Corvette Museum Association.

Surviving, in addition to his adoring wife, include his loving son, Thomas Bruce Drew of Montmorenci, two grandchildren, Deanna Kay Drew of Augusta and Wrayn Leigh Drew of Montmorenci., his mother-in-law, Nell Hancock of Street Place Plantation, a half brother and two half sisters.

AIKEN, SC – MRS. JEAN H. BALDWIN, 75, of Aiken, widow of Carlton McEwan Baldwin III, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at her residence.

A native of Yemassee, SC, Mrs. Baldwin was a daughter of the late John Brantley and Martha Elizabeth Mole Herndon. She was a graduate of Coker College and had made Aiken her home since 1952. She was a former teacher at Aiken High School and retired from South Aiken High School. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church where she was an elder and very active. She was named Presbyterian Woman of the Year for 2005.

Survivors include six children; Robert Edward Cloaninger, Atlanta, Carlton McEwan Baldwin IV, Savannah, John Keen Baldwin, Aiken, George Kennith Baldwin, Columbia, Beth Baldwin Thompson, Aiken and Martha Baldwin Stapleton, Germantown, MD. She is also survived by her sister-in-law; Jane Mandel, Orlando, FL and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at South Aiken Presbyterian Church with The Reverend John L. Frye officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rizer was born in Cameron, SC to the late Tillman B. and Iva Haigler Sharpe. Mrs. Rizer was named citizen of the year for Orangeburg County, she worked in Civil Services.
She was Past Ladies President of VFW. She was predeceased by her husband, George Rizer.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

AIKEN – Mrs. Jean Flanigan Farrar, 80, of Broomstraw Road, Johnston, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Funeral services will be held privately.

Mrs. Farrar was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Clerance and Christine Flanigan. She was a secretary in the insurance business, and had lived in Aiken for a little over a year. Mrs. Farrar and her husband were the owners of Indian Valley Campground, Tionesta, PA for 20 years.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Richard William Farrar; two daughters, Linda Ann Estvander, Johnston, and Gayle Susan Greenwood, Polk, PA; three grandchildren, Stacie Christine Senard, Duane Gregory Eggleston and Lisa Lynn Estvander, and six great grandchildren, Amber R. Bailey, John R. Bailey, Marissa L. Senard, Mason R. Senard. Jessica V. Estvander and Noah Eggleston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 219 York Street, Aiken, SC 29801.

SEAN PATRICK CHEADLE, 27 of Converse Dr., died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Los Alamos, NM, Sean was a son of Jesse M. and Linda Carson Cheadle. He had lived in Aiken since 1988.

Survivors, in addition to his parents of Aiken, include a son, Sean Patrick Cheadle, Jr., a daughter, Emily Jane Cheadle, both of Aiken, a brother, Sgt. Jesse K. (Selena) Cheadle of Ft. Polk, LA, a sister, Lisa R. (Hector) Pineyro of Roswell, GA, and his fiancee' Mandy Polk of Aiken.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with Rev. Don Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Cedar Creek Church with the Reverends David Laird, Brian Gilmer and David Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Strader was a lifelong resident of New Ellenton, a graduate of Silver Bluff High School and a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, New Ellenton. He served as a Sgt. in the Marine Corps in Afghanistan. Ryan worked for Wackenhut /SRS on the Special Response Team for the last three years. He won the title of Department of Energy National Security Police Officer of the Year in June, 2005. He was also a Lieutenant of the New Ellenton Fire Dept.
Survivors include his loving mother, Linda Riddle Strader, New Ellenton; maternal grandmother, Sammie King, New Ellenton; two sisters, Laura Strader Nelson, Mt. Pleasant, PA, Jennifer Cooper, New Ellenton; three brothers, Stephen Strader, Virginia Beach, VA, Chris Strader, Dumfries, VA and Johnny Strader, Spotsylvania, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Lee Strader.

He was a Realtor, a member of St. John’s, Sr. Men’s Club, Lions Club, Mason, Shriners, Men’s 50 Plus Club, Back Sliders Sunday School Class. He was named Realtor of the Year in Virginia Beach, VA.
Mr. Etheridge is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Conley Etheridge; a daughter, Karen (Dick) Edwards, Greenwood, SC; a son, George Amos Etheridge, Middleburg, VA; two grandchildren, Trey and Adam Edwards; two great grandchildren, Anthony and Zack Edwards.
