Gerald Stewart

WEST COLUMBIA — Service for Gerald Michael “Radar” Stewart, 45, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 3707 Moss Avenue, Columbia, S.C. 29205 or Boy Scouts of America. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.

Mr. Stewart died Friday, April 22, 2005. Born in Lexington County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Mavis Stewart. He was a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School and a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Stewart was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

Surviving are aunt, Nelda D. Mefford and her husband, Ollie, of Columbia; uncle, Joe Derrick and his wife, Elizabeth of Batesburg-Leesville; aunts, Beatrice Olson of Vancouver, Wash. and Olean Stewart of Atmore, Ala.; and many cousins.

Pearline S. Bethune

CAYCE — Services for Pearline S. Bethune, 77, of Cayce, will be held at 2pm Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Broadacres Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Kevin Phillips. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Broadacres Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bethune, widow of Bill Bethune, died Saturday, April 23, 2005. Born in Scranton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Robert and Jerusha Taylor Strickland. Formerly of Lake City, she had been an area resident since 1966. Mrs. Bethune was a graduate of McLeod School of Nursing in Florence. She was a member of Broadacres Baptist Church and was retired from Fairfield Nursing Home.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Dee Pardue of West Columbia; son, Jackson Bethune of Cayce; sisters, Lucille Herring of Sumter, Linda Kirby of Irmo, Martha Ann Sigler of Cayce; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Bethune was preceded in death by her sister, Jemima Miles and brother, Johnny Strickland.

Mary G. Holland

PICKENS — Mary Gravely Holland, of Pickens passed away on April 23, 2005. The daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland and Kate Hester Gravely, she was the widow of James B. Holland, Jr., of Pickens. A Winthrop College graduate, she taught fourth grade for more than 25 years at Ben Hagood Elementary School. At the age of 8 she joined the First Baptist Church of Pickens and was a member for 87 years. She taught the young married women's class and assisted in organizing the young couples’ class.

She is survived by two children, Dr. Marianne Holland and James Boyd Holland, III and Mary of Pickens; three grandchildren, Katie Holland Holder and Percy, Jr. of Lima, Peru; Drs. John and Jana Holland, of Pickens, and Thomas R. Holland of Due West; and six great grandchildren, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Joseph Holder of Lima, Peru, Anna Claire, Isaac, and Emory Kate Holland, of Pickens.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Lloyd Batson officiating.

The family is at the home.

Memorials may be sent to the Child Development Center, Pickens Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 834, Pickens, SC 29671.

Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bailey All

ALLENDALE — Mr. Bailey B. All, husband of Alberta “Taddy” All, died Sunday morning. He was 80.

Mr. All was born October 19, 1924 the son of Harry W. All and Sara A. All. He was a member of the Allendale First Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.

Surviving besides his wife are 3 sons: Monnie Carden of Barnwell, Bailey B. All Jr. and Harry W. All II both of Bluffton, 5 daughters: Rebecca All and Suzette All both of Allendale, Theo D. McDougle of Orangeburg, Sharon A. Owens, Brevard N.C., Melany A. Owens of Hampton. There are 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the chapel of Smith-Rhoden F.H. with burial following in Swallow Savannah cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home of Allendale is in charge of arrangements.

Will Anderson

CAMDEN — Funeral services for William Andrew Anderson, infant child of William Christopher and Kelly Yvonne Caldwell Anderson will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Gene Stokes will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2005, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 2838 Devine Street, Columbia, SC, 29205.

Surviving are his parents, Maternal Grandparents, Leonard and Janice Caldwell of Camden; Paternal Grandparents, Leonard Anderson of Camden and Patricia Smith of Camden; Maternal Great Grandmothers, Nancy Dove of Camden and Ann Sawyer of Camden; Paternal Great Grandparents, Fred & Viola Anderson of Camden and Jean Sims of Camden.

Betty Boatwright

JEFFERSON — Betty Jane R. Boatwright, 80, of Jefferson, SC, widow of W. Broadus Boatwright, died 4/23/05 in Union Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Fork Creek Methodist Church with burial in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 PM Monday at Sutton Funeral Home.

She was born in Jefferson, SC to the late William R. and Annie Kirkley Rollings. She was a homemaker and a member of Fork Creek Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons, Rev. Bud Boatwright and wife, Jeanette, of Timmonsville, Robin Boatwright and wife, Carol, of Jefferson; daughters, Betty Jo Price and husband, Tommy, of Jefferson, Brenda Oliver and husband, Marshall, of Jefferson, Phyliss Weller and husband, Paul, of Rougemont, N.C., Patsy Lester and husband, Scott, of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Susie R. Eubanks, of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Fork Creek Methodist Church, PO Box 308, Jefferson, SC 29718.

Horace Boatwright

WARD — Graveside services for Mr. Horace Lee Boatwright, age 68, will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home, Monday night from 6-8 pm.

Mr. Boatwright, a native of Saluda County, died Saturday, April 23, 2005. He was a son of the late Ernest Lee and Vernelle Jackson Boatwright.

Survivors include brothers: Luther, Eugene, Earnest Boatwright; sisters: Catherine Brewer and Betty Boatwright. He was predeceased in death by a brother, Gerald Boatwright and a sister, Frances Boyd.

Tranny Musselwhite

COLUMBIA — Funeral service for Tranny Zeagler Musselwhite, 88, of Columbia, will be held 1 o’clock, Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Reformation Lutheran Church, officiated by the Rev. W. Osborne Herlong, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 o’clock Monday evening at Shives Funeral Home.

Mrs. Musselwhite died Sunday, April 24, 2005. Born in Calhoun County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Carrie Elizabeth Zeagler. She was a graduate of Baptist Medical Center School of Nursing, Class of 1937. Mrs. Musselwhite nursed in hospitals, doctor’s offices, private duty, and at Fort Jackson. She was a member of the American Nursing Association and Reformation Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Mattie Welch and Helen Fulmer, both of Columbia; nieces, Jackie Frey, Kristi Kunar, Gwen Williams, and Libby Delk. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce R. Musselwhite; sisters, Faye Zeagler, Lorena Liles, Marie Surles, brother, W. C. Zeagler, Jr.

Alton Berley

POMARIA — Services for Alton B. Berley will be at 11 AM Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 173 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126. McSwain-Evans Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Berley, 89, widower of Dorothy G. Berley, died April 24, 2005. Born in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Boykin and Sarah Cromer Berley. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired employee of Kendall Company, Oakland plant, and a farmer. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where he was a former Councilman, and served on various committees. He was also a Master Mason with Pomaria Lodge No. 151 AFM.

Surviving are his daughter, Gloria B. (Palmer) Shealy; two sisters, Edna B. Fuller of Monticello and Cynthia B. Aull of Pomaria; two grandchildren, Angela S. (Gerald) Bedenbaugh and John P. Shealy, Jr., and 2 great-grandchildren, Julie and Garrett Bedenbaugh. He was predeceased by a sister, Emmie Roof, and brothers, John R. Berley and Drayton Berley.

Beverly Jennings Bybee

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Beverly Jennings Bybee, 76, died Saturday, April 23, 2005 in Virginia Baptist Hospital.

Born Thursday, December 6, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lena Turner Jennings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Victoria Bybee.

She was the wife of Richard T. Bybee, Sr. for 54 years and the best mom in the world to her children, Clifton Cole and wife, Deborah, of Niceville, FL; Barbara Bybee of Lynchburg, VA; Patricia Leonard of Forest, VA; Becky Bybee of Alexandria, VA; Richard T. Bybee, Jr. and wife Donna, of Forest, VA; Jeff Bybee of Forest, VA; a sister, Evelyn Whitmire of Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren and 4 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 26, 2005 form 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Service.

Miriam Clark Cribb

LIVINGSTON — Miriam Clark Cribb, 86, of Livingston, died Sunday, April 24, 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Neeses Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Boyleston, Rev. Bob Frederick, and Rev. Allen Elder officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Cribb was born in Livingston, a daughter of the late Carroll Joseph and Eunice Wooley Butler. She was a member of Neeses Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and former violinist. She was a graduate of North High School and the University of South Carolina. She taught school in Neeses, Livingston, and North for 33 years. She was married to the late Paul L. Clark, and the late J. Harry Cribb, Sr.

Survivors include a stepson and his wife, Ronnie and Brenda Cribb, of Livingston; four nieces: Christy Lambert, Rhonda Ciandella, Angie Eklund, and Kim Graham; two nephews: Jim Cribb and Gregg Cribb; a number of great-grandchildren; and special caregivers: Ruby Jane Hoover and Justine Stevenson.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home, 120 Westside Street, Livingston.

Memorials may be made to Neeses Baptist Church Building Fund, or to Allen Elder Regal Resources, Inc., P.O. Box 1257, Woodruff, SC, 29388.
