CAMDEN — Services with burial for Marie Brisbane, 100, will be held at 1 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church #2, where she was a member. Haile’s Funeral Home is in charge. Born in Kershaw Co. to William and Hannah Williams Lane, she died Nov. 4, 2004. She loved people, sewing, cooking, and opening her doors to foster care. Surviving are sons, Charles, Tommy Jones; stepdaughter, Mary Dinkins.

Betty Butler

LAURENS — Services for Betty Jean Abercrombie Butler, 68, retired lab technician, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday (visitation 7-9 tonight) at Kennedy Mortuary with burial in Westview Memorial Park. Born in Laurens to Broadus and Geneva Wood Abercrombie, she died Nov. 5, 2004. Surviving are husband, Raymond Butler; son, Rodger Butler; sister, Doris Pitts; grandchildren, Amber and Jessica Butler.

Mildred Geddings

CAYCE — Mildred Mack Geddings, 76, of Vinton, VA, formerly of Cayce, died Friday, November 05, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Monday, November 8, 2004, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel in North with Rev. David Covington officiating. Burial will be in Bull Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Geddings was born in North, a daughter of the late William Claude and Mattie Lou Hayden Mack. She was a retired registered nurse. She was married to the late Paul Raymond Geddings.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Steve Kesler, of Blue Ridge, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, C. Michael and Diane M. Geddings of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren, Heather and Paul Michael Geddings; a sister, Miriam Amaker, of Lexington; and a nephew, Wayne Cole, of Lexington.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North.

Zelene Hallman

WILLISTON — Graveside services for Zelene Hallman will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry. Mrs. Hallman, 89, died November 5, 2004. McSwain-Evans Funeral Home of Newberry is in charge.

John McIntosh

KINGSTREE — John Ervin McIntosh, 72, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 in Duluth, Ga.

Mr. McIntosh was born October 10, 1932 in Clarendon Co., a son of the late David Edgar and Archie Hodge McIntosh. He was retired from Colonial Rubber Co. in Kingstree and was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Mr. McIntosh was an avid gardener and sportsman.

Surviving: a son, David Ervin (Paige) McIntosh of Dunwoody, Ga.; a daughter, Melody M. (Keith) Vaughn of Summerville, SC; 3 grandsons; a sister, Jeanette Morris of Andrews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Brewington Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Brewington Presbyterian Church, 895 Pleasant Grove Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080, or Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, Ga. 30096.

COLUMBIA — Cheryl L. Nybro, 49, of Columbia, S.C., died Friday, November 5, 2004, in Columbia, S.C.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 8, 2004 in Columbia, S.C.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, N.C., is assisting the family.

COLUMBIA — Services for Freddie “Luke” Taylor Jr., are 3 p.m. today at Palmer Memorial Chapel with burial in Palmetto Cemetery. Born in Columbia to Freddie Sr. and Kathleen Singleton Taylor, he died Nov. 3, 2004. Surviving: former wife, Julia A. Taylor; daughters, Andrea Robinson-Neal, Tonya Taylor; siblings, James, Benjamin, Jacob, Esau, Stephaney, Andrew Taylor, Vernell Williams, Ruth Smith; 3 grandchildren.

Dorothy Thompson

UNION — Services for Dorothy Frost Thompson, 63, are 3 p.m. today (viewing 2 p.m.) at New Life Baptist Church; burial in Union Memorial Gardens. Holcombe Funeral Home is in charge. Born in Union to L.F. and Ora Parham Frost, she died Nov. 5, 2004. Surviving: husband, Billy Thompson; daughters, Karen Coker, Pamela Williamson, Dawn Thompson; brothers, Luther, Joel, Ronnie, Lewis Frost; three grandchildren.

Arthur Walker

GASTON — Graveside services for Arthur Lexie Walker, 61, will be held at 11am Monday at Southland Memorial Gardens, conducted by Reverend Johnny Slice. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia.

Mr. Walker died Friday, November 5, 2004. Born in Pelion, he was a son of the late Herman and Annie Ruth Slice Walker. He was an employee of Wabtec.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca S. Collins; daughters, Rae Lynn Walker of Sandy Run and Jennifer Renae Collins of Gaston; son, Jason Allen Collins of Gaston; and sister, Annie Tomasha Spigner of Lake Murray.

Callie Williamson

NEESES — Callie Mae Gleaton Williamson, 68, of Neeses, died Friday, November 5, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, November 7, 2004, at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Salley with Rev. Dale Deese officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2 pm.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Aiken County, a daughter of the late Collie and Elizabeth Chavis Gleaton. She was married to the late Sidney Williamson, Jr. She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Co.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jan W. and Edward B. Hutson, of Williston; a grandson, Shawn Travis Hutson, of Williston; five sisters: Vera Sturkie, of West Columbia; Melbra Knox, of Cayce; Jeanette Eades, of Orangeburg; Shirley Hutto, of Neeses; and Ann Dyches, of Barnwell; five brothers: Floyd Gleaton, Tony Gleaton, and Marvin Gleaton, all of Neeses; Willis Gleaton, of North; and Mortimo Gleaton, of Aiken.

Friends may call at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North or at the residence, 3430 Ninety-Six Road, Neeses.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Salley.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Services for Olivia Connolly Miller, infant daughter of Joshua and Ashleigh Connolly Miller, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, S.C. Visitation is 6-8 tonight at 686 Connolly Road, York. Bratton Funeral Home, York, is in charge. She died November 4, 2004. Surviving are parents; great-grandparents; one sister; grandparents.

Born in Maryland to Julius and Dolly Dean, he died Nov. 5, 2004. Surviving: wife, Joan Dean; children, Mary Beth, Michael, William, Jason Dean; siblings, Robert Dean, Patsy Jenkins, Margie Ambrose, Helen Young, Judy Murphy.

Mrs. Montgomery, widow of Lt. Col. Lawson B. Montgomery, died Friday, November 5, 2004. Born in Belleville, IL, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Carmen E. Fallon, and granddaughter of William F. and Bertha D. Emge. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, MO for 30 years. Mrs. Montgomery was a 1948 graduate of Belleville Township High School and attended Washington University, St. Louis, MO., where she majored in Art. She also served as a Volunteer at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO for more than 25 years.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Andy Thomas of Lexington, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Colleen Montgomery of Knoxville, TN; sister, Doris Johannsen of Swansea, IL; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

CAMDEN — Funeral services for Edgar Giles Parker, Jr., will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at 2:00 PM in Kornegay Funeral Home with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 8, 2004, from 6-8:00 PM in Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Freedom Outreach Church, 1802 Henry Davis Road, Cassatt, SC 29032. Mr. Parker died Saturday, November 6, 2004. Born in Camden, he was the son of Ruth Harden Parker and the late Edgar Giles Parker, Sr. Surviving are his mother, Ruth Harden Parker; 3 sisters, Cindy Prater of Camden and her husband, Horace, Robin Parker of Lugoff, and Brenda Partin of Lugoff.
