Billy Hutto
CHARLESTON — William “Billy” R. Hutto, 67, of Charleston, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at a local hospital.
Billy was born in Charleston to William T. and Juanita Seyle Hutto. He was a 1954 graduate of Bishop-England High School and a graduate of the University of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired computer specialist with Civil Service. He was an avid golfer. He will be sadly missed by his family including: his mother, a daughter, Leah H. Smoak of Charleston, a brother, Leroy C. Hutto of North Smithfield, RI, a sister, Sonya H. Moule of Fernandina Beach, FL, and a grandson, Jonathan.
Family and friends attended his visitation from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Monday at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, 150 Wentworth St. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private and at a later date.

Born in Rock Hill to John and Edna Covington Alexander, he died June 20, 2004. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with First South Utility Co. Albert Edenfield
WINNSBORO — Funeral services for Albert Edenfield will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Chapman and Mr. Jim Bellomy. Mr. Edenfield, 74, died Sunday, June 20, 2004.
Born August 25, 1929 in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late Kennis Edenfield and Georgia Branham Edenfield.
He had retired from the Winnsboro Post Office after forty-two years with Civil Service and was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he had been a Deacon, Choir Member, President of his Sunday School Class and the Baptist Brotherhood, served on numerous boards and sang with the Winnsboro Barbershoppers and was a member of SPEBSQSA and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his widow, Christine Rollins Edenfield of the home; daughter, Crystal Edenfield Barrett and her husband, Ken, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, James Troy Porter of Beaufort, SC, Tyler Rollins Porter of Winnsboro, Codi Erin Edenfield and Lindsey Rachel Edenfield, both of Arden, NC; brother, Lamar Edenfield and his wife, Jeanette, of West Columbia; sister, Pearl E. Enloe and her husband, Chesley, of Shelbyville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles Albert Edenfield.

WINNSBORO — Funeral services for Charles William “Billy” Raley Sr. will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the Church of God conducted by Bishop D.L. Sellers. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Pope Funeral Home.
Mr. Raley, 71, died Monday, June 21, 2004.
Born August 28, 1932 in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late William M. Raley and Blondell LeGrandy Raley.
He had retired from Winnsboro Veneer Company and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are sons, Charles W. “Chuck” Raley Jr. and his wife, Ann, Stephen E.M. Raley and his wife, Tracy, and Philip N. Raley, all of Winnsboro; daughter, Stephanie Lou Ann Floyd of Winnsboro; brother, Jack M. Raley of Winnsboro; sister, Ann R. Pearson of Winnsboro; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Emily Lou Boulware Raley.

BISHOPVILLE — Funeral services for Paul Kiser, age 71, who died June 20, will be held Wednesday at 4:00 from the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Mr. Kiser was born in Kershaw Co. a son of the late Brantley Alexander & Annie Britton Kiser. He was retired from Reeves Brothers and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife: Emmaline Polson Kiser, Bishopville; sons: Charles Kiser, Bishopville, Paul Richard (Charlene) Kiser, Camden; daughters: Shannon Kiser, Bishopville, Ruth (Jimmy) Watts, Turbeville; brother: Johnny Kiser, Bishopville; sister: Lillie Mae Hopkins, Darlington; stepsisters: Carolyn Collins, and Sharon Corbett, Bethune; 7 grandchildren.

Ruby Harmon
NEWBERRY — Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Berry Harmon, 77, of Newberry died Sunday.
Born in Newberry, Mrs. Harmon was a daughter of the late Sam Oswald and Lillie Mae Johnson Berry. She was a homemaker and a member of Queen’s Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by her husband, Fred R. Harmon; sons, David O. Harmon, Fred E. Harmon, and wife, Myra, and James R. Harmon, and wife Sandra, all of Newberry; daughters, Sharon E. Cooper, and husband Daniel of Walterboro, and Edith A. Kinard, and husband, Hubert, of Prosperity; brothers, Sam Berry and wife, Alice of Newberry, James H. Berry, and wife, Wanda, of Lake Michigan; a sister, Betty J. Smith of Newberry; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sisters, Edith Millstead and Helen Robbins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the McSwain-Evans Funeral chapel, with burial to follow in Queen’s Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
