AZILEE WILLIAMSON

FLORENCE - Graveside services for Azilee Altman Williamson, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 22, 2002, at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins, directed by Waters-Powells Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williamson died Monday, May 20, in a Hartsville nursing facility after an illness. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Curtis M. and Willa Carter Altman. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunday School department.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Charles Williamson.

Survivors include her husband, Carlight Williamson of Florence; a son, Ronald C. Williamson of Hartsville; a sister, Onnie Boatwright of Manassas, Va.; a brother, Maxie Altman of Chickamauga, Ga.; grandchildren, Eric Williamson and Tonya Ward; and a great-grandson, Max Ward.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mid SC Chapter, PO Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202.

DELLA F. KEELS

DARLINGTON - Funeral services for Della Patricia "Dell" Fraser Keels, 71, will be held at 3 p.m. today, May 22, 2002, in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence.

Mrs. Keels died Monday, May 20, at her residence after an illness. She was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Sanders Lee and Isla Hewitt Fraser. She was the former co-owner of Circle Fountain and a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, J. Lynn Keels of Darlington; two sons, Jay Keels of Darlington and Steven (Cindy) Keels of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Louise F. Hobbs of Timmonsville and Jeannie F. Hursey of Darlington; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Keels was preceded in death by a son, Randy Keels.

BERTHA G. MAREE

GREAT FALLS - Funeral services for Bertha Granger Maree, 82, were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Great Falls Church of God. The Revs. James Grant, Edward Thomas, Fred Bryant and Lafon Hardy officiated with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls, directed by Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home of Great Falls.

Mrs. Maree, widow of Johnnie D. Maree Sr., died Friday, May 24, at her residence. She was born in Shelby, N.C., on Aug. 23, 1919, and was the daughter of the late Minnie Jackson Granger and Henry Granger. She received her education in Shelby, N.C. public schools. Mrs. Maree was a homemaker and was a member of Great Falls Church of God and was very active in church activities while her health permitted.

Survivors include three daughters, Johnnie Mae Clack of Great Falls, Delores Blackmon of Lugoff and Trisha Small of Hartsville; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Maree was preceded in death by three children, Frances McAbee, Edgernoria Bair and J. D. Maree.

FRANCES COATES

Funeral services for Frances Kelley Coates, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Brown Pennington Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Darryl Bogatay will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Coates, widow of James W. Coates, died Monday, May 27, 2002. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Lizzie Outlaw Kelley. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and retired as a nurse from Byerly Hospital.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Butch Coates of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ed Robinson of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.; sisters, Jessie Mae Lunn of Amelia, Va., Flossie Hudson of Hartsville, Loretta Tadlock of Hartsville; grandchildren, Alice Funderburk, John Coates, Jr., Melissa "Tisie" LaLonde, Sammy Coates; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Sam Coates.

JUDSON KIRKLEY

MCBEE - Graveside services for Judson B. Kirkley, 77, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, in Beauford Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. R. J. Roberts officiated and Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home was in charge.

Mr. Kirkley died Wednesday, May 22, 2002. Born in McBee, he was a son of the late Julius and Mary Ola Hunter Kirkley. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company and was a member of the Old Timers Club and a lifetime member of McBee Masonic Lodge No. 313.

Surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Drew and Anna Ruth Kirkley of McBee, Hugh and Betty Kirkley of Lugoff, Ruth Kirkley of McBee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Ed Hodges of Timmonsville, Virginia Plyler of Hartsville, Judy and Don Tiller of McBee. His brother, Lawson Kirkley, predeceased him.

RONNIE MUNN

Funeral services for Ronald E. "Ronnie" Munn, 47, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Fourth Street Baptist Church. The Revs. Brad Lynch and Jerry Craine officiated with burial in Darlington Memory Gardens Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fourth Street Baptist Church, 501 S. 4th St., Hartsville, SC 29550 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.

Mr. Munn died Wednesday, May 22, 2002. Born in Hartsville, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Margaret Matthews Munn. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist church where he had served as a deacon, choir member and assistant Sunday school teacher. He was a past president of the Hartsville Jaycees and was a graduate of Greenville Technical College and Coker College.

Surviving are his wife, Mary C. Burnett-Munn of Hartsville; daughters, Angela Munn and Kaitlyn Burnett, both of Hartsville; son, Justin Burnett of Hartsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and JoAnn Munn of Marietta, Ga., Frankie Munn of Newport, Tenn., Jimmy and Linda Munn of Hartsville, Jackie Munn of Hartsville, Wayne Munn of Charleston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Mills of Wichita, Kan., Celeste and Bennie Crowley of Hartsville; 20 nieces and nephews; 21 great nieces and nephews; and the Fourth Street Baptist Church family. He was predeceased by his brother, Cecil Munn, and niece, Sheila Benedict.

JANE FEATHERSTUN

LAMAR - Funeral services for Jane Pate Featherstun, 76, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in Lamar United Methodist Church with interment following in Lamar Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Mrs. Featherstun died Saturday, May 25, in a Garden City nursing home. She was born in Lamar, the daughter of the late Efford H. and Maida Bullington Pate. She was married to the late Ray B. Featherstun. She was a graduate of Lamar High School, Coker College and George Peabody College, where she received her master's degree in library science. She was employed in the public school system of Lee County. Mrs. Featherstun was Methodist in faith.

Surviving are one daughter, Marcy (Don) Bindner of Surfside.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611.

REV. MARCO KELLY JR.

Funeral services for the Rev. Marco Kelly Jr., 69, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, from the chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville, with the Rev. James E. Beck Jr. and the Rev. Tommy Browne officiating. Burial was in Westview Memorial Cemetery.

The Rev. Kelly was born in Darlington County, a son of the late Marco Kelly Sr. and Kathleen Webb Kelly. He was pastor of Freedom Baptist Temple in Cheraw.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Hall Kelly of Hartsville; daughter, Debbie K. Howle of Florence; step-daughter, Lori Lynch of Hartsville; three step-sons, Donald Hall Jr. of Hartsville and Richard and Mike Noel of Cheraw; two brothers, B.S. (Bee) Kelly and Billy Kelly, of Hartsville; three sisters, Shirley Atkinson of Hartsville, Olene Sherian of Spring Hope, N.C., Hattie Hepburn of Florence; grandson, Rusty Howle of Florence; five step-children and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Kelly.

Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29506.
