Clyde H. Broadwell
CALHOUN FALLS — Clyde H. Broadwell, 78, of 662 Savannah St., husband of Ruth McClain Broadwell, passed away Aug. 12, 2001, at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late William M. and Ethel Mann Broadwell. He was a retired letter carrier, serving for 43 years, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post of Calhoun Falls, Calhoun Falls Lions Club and the Golden Agers. He also delivered Meals-on-Wheels and was a member of Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church, where he was co-teacher of the Men’s Bible Class. He was twice married, first to the late Hazel Rose Broadwell.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Clyde H. Broadwell Jr. of Calhoun Falls; two daughters, Iris B. Moss of Abbeville and Evadne Starnes of Greenwood; three stepdaughters, Hazel Cape of Columbia, Mary Sue Whitus of Mineola, Texas and Linda Thomas of Liberty; three brothers, William Broadwell and George Broadwell, both Calhoun Falls and Wayne Broadwell of Anderson; two sisters, Myrtle Bishop of Ware Shoals and Lena Hopkins of Rock Hill; and six grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church, with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church.

Eric Hager
NINETY SIX - Eric Hager, 16, of 5901 Highway 178 South, passed away Friday, August 10, 2001 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born in Greenwood, a son of Ronald Hager and Margaret Cogdill McDonald, he was a Junior of Ninety Six High School where he was a former member of the foot-ball team. He was predeceased by grandpar-ents Marshall and Magnolia Cogdill.
Surviving in addition to his father of Ware Shoals are his mother and stepfather, Mark McDonald of the home; a sister, Ashley Culbertson of the home; a stepbrother, Brock McDonald of the home; grandparents Edith Lambert of Ninety Six, Ronald and Diane Hager, Sr., of Fisher, Indiana; Joe and Blanche McDonald of Ninety Six, and Glenda McDonald of Bradley.
Services will be 4:00 pm Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Davis and Rev. Ben Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen and Todd Howington, Michael Saxon, Heath Terry, Frankie King, William Woodall.
Honorary escorts will be Zack Billings, Jamie Leroy, Levi Cason, Justin Rowe, Mike Howington, Roy Roten, Thomas Ouzts, and Nick Gibert.
The body is at Harley Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.
Memorials may be made to the Ninety Six High School Football team.
The family is at the home.

Price Quinn
GREENWOOD — Houston Price Quinn, 81, of 1291 Calhoun Road, husband of Patricia W. Quinn, passed away August 12, 2001 at his home.
The family is at the home in Quarterpath.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Tom Anderson

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Thomas Carson Anderson III, 62, of 800 Knottingham Road, husband of Sudie Davis Anderson, passed away July 22, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Born in Greenwood, S.C., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Anderson Jr. He graduated from Clemson University in 1959, receiving a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, a minor in literature and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. He obtained the rank of captain in the Army. He moved to Greensboro in 1968, where he was a structural engineer, a commercial realtor with Brown Investments and editor of Erving Park Magazine. He was a member, Sunday school teacher and elder of First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Louise A. Maultby of Greensboro and Dowling Anderson of Charlotte; a son, Carson Anderson of Winston-Salem; a brother, Geddes Anderson of Greenwood, S.C.; two sisters, Ada Snow of Beaufort, S.C., and Nancy May of Donalds, S.C.; a stepsister, B. Weavil of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro. Burial will be in the church columbarium.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1021 Harvest Time Way, Greensboro, N.C. 27410.

Margaret Boyd

GREENWOOD — Margaret Fowler Boyd, of 105 Chesterfield Court, widow of Jimmie D. Boyd, passed away July 23, 2000, at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Bessie Wilson Fowler. She was a retiree of Self Memorial Hospital and a member of South Main Street Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Reapers Sunday School Class and the Senior Members Group.
Survivors include a brother, Ray Fowler of Anderson; and a sister, Doris F. Harter of Ninety Six.
Services will be at 3:30 Tuesday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dave Patterson and the Rev. Richard McWhite. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Rick Harter, Ray Fowler Jr., Jim Fowler, Brad Fowler, Arthur Murray Jr. and Jack Watkins.
Honorary escorts are members of the Reapers Sunday School Class of South Main Street Baptist Church, along with Ann Watkins.
Visitation is from 2-3:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.

Antwan Allen Hill

GREENWOOD — Services for Antwan Allen Hill, of 114-A Pinetree Apartments, will be at 2:30 Wednesday at Robinson and Son Mortuary, conducted by Bishop Emanuel Spearman. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are cousins and classmates of Lakeview Elementary School.
Visitation is at the home of his maternal great-grandparents, James and Mamie Parks, 114 Watson St., Greenwood.

Hallie Hollingsworth

GREENWOOD — Hallie Jeanette Simpson Hollingsworth, 83, of 234 Blyth Road, widow of Eugene Hollingsworth, passed away July 22, 2000, at her home.
Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie McClellam Simpson. She retired as owner and operator of Blyth Road Grocery after 40 years. She was a member of Callie Self Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a charter member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church and a member of New Market Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Lucille Moore Sunday School Class and the WMU.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Robertson of the home.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Buddy Wiles. Entombment was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Richard Higginbotham, Olin Higginbotham, Joe McClellam, Hackel McClellam and Willie McClellam.
Honorary escorts were members of the Lucille Moore Sunday School Class.
The family is at the home.

Hazel McCann

ABBEVILLE — Hazel Duncan McCann, 82, of 109 Calhoun Ave., widow of Jackson Edward McCann, passed away July 22, 2000, at her home.
Born in Shippensburg, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Laura Welis Duncan. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Shippensburg State Teachers College and a Girl Scout leader and volunteer for more than 50 years. She was a member of Abbeville Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the choir for more than 50 years, a past president of the Women of the Church, and was active in other church work.
Survivors include a daughter, Frankie Witmer of Seneca; a son, Ed McCann of Seneca; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Friday at Abbeville Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. John Kipp and the Rev. Charles H. Sides Jr. Burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Visitation is from 1-3 Friday at the church, in the Telford Parlor.

Laura C. Todd

LAURENS — Laura Lue Cunningham Todd, 68, wife of Leroy Todd Sr., passed away July 21, 2000, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Inez Wright Cunningham. She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church, Mountville, and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 5208. She was an employee of Old Laurens County Hospital for many years.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Leroy E. Todd Jr. of the home and James C. Todd of Cross Hill; two daughters, Bertha T. Hall of Greenwood and Mary C. Dunlap of Laurens; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven foster children.
Services will be at 2 Wednesday at White Plains Baptist Church, Mountville, with burial in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home.

Ruth White

GREENWOOD — Mary Ruth White, 44, of 514 Highway 221 South, widow of Jonathon Carl White, passed away July 23, 2000, at her home.
Born in Brownwood, Texas , she was a daughter of Betty Hollingsworth Beaty and the late Rev. David Gorman Hollingsworth. She worked at South Pointe Exxon, attended the University of Texas at Arlington Nursing School and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. She was a member of First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where she helped to organize a singles group fellowship.
Survivors include her mother of the home; a daughter, Angela White of the home; a son, Paul David White of Arlington, Texas ; a sister, Laura Hudler of Fort Worth, Texas ; and a brother, Paul Warren Hollingsworth of Arlington.
Services will be at 5 Tuesday at First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Fred Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 4.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Harley Funeral Home.
