McCORMICK — Services for Keith Bernard Wideman, 28, will be at 1 Wednesday at Zion Chapel AME Church, conducted by the Rev. Henderson Louden, pastor, and the Rev. Otis Cunningham. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon.
Pallbearers are Willie Cartledge, Walter Gaston, Glen Gaston, Wade Gaston, Clarence Parks and Stacy Martin.
Flower bearers are church ushers.
The family is at the home, 63 Callison Highway.
Walker Funeral Home is in charge.

Genevieve C. Evans

HONEA PATH — Genevieve Clinkscales Evans, 86, of 423 Firetower Road, widow of Robert Boyd Evans, passed away July 22, 2000, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Leondriss and Ada Moore Clinkscales. She was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Faye Evans of Honea Path; seven sons, Jackie Lloyd, Ronald (Roeho) Evans and Theron (Leon) Evans, all of Honea Path, Jerome Evans and Frank Evans, both of Belton and Troy Evans of Greenwood; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 3 Monday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Revs. Randy Creamer and Carroll Plemmons. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.
Visitation is from 7-9 today at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Cox Funeral Home, Honea Path, is in charge.

Antwan Allen Hill

GREENWOOD — Antwan Allen Hill, 10, of 114-A Pinetree Apartments, passed away July 22, 2000.
Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of Roger Allen and Verna Leola Parks Hill. He was a student at Oakland Elementary School.
Survivors include his parents of the home; a sister, Jessica Nicole Hill of the home; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Parks of Greenwood; paternal grandmother, Virginia Jennings of McCormick; and maternal great-grandparents, James and Mamie Parks of Greenwood.
The family is at the home of his maternal great-grandparents, 114 Watson St., Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc., which is in charge.

James Patterson

ABBEVILLE — James Patterson, 70, of 101 Hampton St., passed away July 22, 2000, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.
Born in McCormick County, he was the son of the late Parrie Lee Burnett and D. Robinson. He was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church, McCormick.
Survivors include his two sons, Calvin Hill of Vine Grove, Ky. and Theodore Hill of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Bridget Patterson and Louella Patterson, both of Abbeville and Shardi Martin of Greenwood; two brothers, George Perrin and Willie Perrin of Troy; three sisters, Mae Callaham of Abbeville, Irene Williams and Nina Middleton, both of Bridge Port, Conn.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Richie Funeral Home, Abbeville, which is in charge.

Effie L. Workman

LAURENS — Effie Loree Workman, 89, of 206 Wilson St., widow of Leroy Workman Sr., passed away July 22, 2000, in Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Fowler Lawson. She was a homemaker and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her four sons, Leroy Workman Jr., Homer Lee Workman, Darvin Workman and Eugene Workman, all of Laurens; four daughters, Lucille Erskine of Clinton, Annie Bennett of Greenwood, Edna Hayes of Laurens and Christine Morse of Ninety Six; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Monday at Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Billy Ray Osborne. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 today at the mortuary.
The family is at the home.

Larry G. Brannon
LAKE WORTH, Fla. — Larry G. Brannon, 60, of 1709 Katherine Court, passed away Feb. 1, 2001, at his son’s home.
Born in Greenville County, S.C., he was a son of the late Harry L. and Mary M. Brannon.
Survivors include a son, Jason Todd Brannon; two sisters, Pat B. Vickers of Greenwood, S.C., and Jane B. McDowell of Greer, S.C.; and three brothers, Bill Brannon of Taylors, S.C., Mickey R. Brannon of Clayton, N.C., and Bob Brannon of Columbia, S.C.
All County Funeral Home, Lake Worth, is in charge.

Sara McGee Brooks
GREENWOOD — Sara McGee Brooks, 72, of 210 McGee Drive, wife of Horace Brooks, passed away Jan. 7, 2001.
Services will be announced by Harley Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Johnny Edwards
WASHINGTON, D.C. — John “Johnny” Edwards, 81, passed away Jan. 30, 2001, at Prince George’s Hospital in Cheverly, Md.
Born in Calhoun Falls, S.C., he was a son of the late Willie and Lula Gary Edwards and attended Calhoun Falls schools. He was employed twice with the Washington , D.C., Terminal Station, before and after serving in the Marine Corps. He was a member of Carron Baptist Church, where he served on the trustee board and was a member of the Male Chorus and the Leroy Waldon Choral Ensemble. He was also a Prince Hall Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Doretha Harris of Washington , D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Isaac of Washington , D.C., and Mrs. Annie Mae Lee of Raleigh, N.C.; six brothers, Blondell Edwards and Ollie Edwards, both of Washington , D.C., and Roy Edwards, Troy Edwards, Robert Edwards and Sam Edwards, all of Calhoun Falls; and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Lester Allen Monday at Carron Baptist Church, with burial in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.

Uzzie Rogers Jackson
GREENVILLE — Uzzie Rogers Jackson, of 612 Easley Bridge Road, passed away Feb. 3, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Survivors include three sons, J.W. Rogers and Wardlaw Jackson Jr., both of Greenville and Elbert Jackson of Piedmont; five daughters, Alice Cannon of the home, Nettie Sue Martin, Sarah Gregory and Tressie Jackson, all of Greenville and Evelyn Dendy of Fountain Inn; a sister, Rachel Rice of Ware Shoals; a brother, J.C. Rogers of Lexington; 27 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 4 Thursday at Golden View Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Brown Funeral Home is in charge.

Ruth McClain
GREENWOOD — Ruth Rodgers McClain, 72, of 312 Sunrise Circle, passed away Feb. 6, 2001, at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Johnson and Fannie Sue Goff Rodgers. She graduated from Greenwood High School and was currently employed with Auto Zone. She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah M. Moss of Greenwood; a son, Rick McClain of Greenwood; a sister, Barbara Jean “B.J” Smith of Greenwood; two brothers, James Elton Rodgers and Homer Earl Rodgers, both of Greenwood; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Thursday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Debra Griffis-Woodberry. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial will be Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Rodgers, John Rodgers, Jeff Rodgers, Eric Smith, Al Tumblin and Dave Rosa.
The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Angela Hollingsworth, 421 Abbott Ave., Greenwood. Visitation is at Blyth Funeral Home from 6-8:30 tonight.

David ‘Nat’ Pardue
JOHNSTON — David Henry “Nat” Pardue, 84, passed away Feb. 5, 2001, at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Wiley E. and Mary Cornelia Jackson Pardue. He retired from Luke Moseley Plumbing Co. and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, David L. Pardue and Ronald G. Pardue, both of Johnston; a daughter, Bonnie P. Powell of North Augusta; two sisters, Gertrude P. Morris of North Augusta and Eunice P. Yonce of Johnston; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Todd Knock at 2 Thursday at Philippi Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Bland Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church.

Gladys Wrenn
GREENWOOD — Gladys Cooper Wrenn, 80, of 106 Sylvan Road, wife of Samuel W. Wrenn, passed away Feb. 7, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Visitation is from 7-9 Thursday at Blyth Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Lester and Bobbie Weeks, 1729 E. Durst Ave.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Sherry Callura

GREENWOOD — Sherry Long Callura, 39, of 216 Manning Road, wife of Miguel Antonio Callura, passed away July 25, 2000, at her home.
Born in Morrison, Ill., she was a daughter of Faye Graves Long Willis and the late Dr. Everette S. Long. She graduated from T.L. Hanna High School, Anderson, and the University of South Carolina. She taught in Greenwood public schools, including Southside Middle School for 13 years. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother and stepfather, Richard J. Willis, of Anderson; a son, Jarred Matthew Callura, and a daughter, Rachel Lindsay Callura, both of the home; three sisters, Karen Sinclair of West Columbia, Patti Craft of Anderson and Cynthia Jackson of Spartanburg; a stepbrother, Jeff Willis of Anderson; and a stepsister, Ann Ferrell of Jacksonville, Fla.
Memorial services will be at 6:30 Thursday at Main Street United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Larry Jenkins.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Blyth Funeral Home.
