GREENWOOD — Flossie Miller Maddox, 90, of 209 Folly Farm Road, widow of Argus Holmes Maddox, passed away Aug. 5, 2001, at her home.
Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lula Miller Miller. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of South Greenwood Flower Club, Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church and the Ladies Bible Class of the church.
Survivors include a son, Craig Miller Maddox of Spartanburg; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Jacquelyn) Burton of Greenwood; a granddaughter with whom she made her home, Mrs. Gene (Adonnis) Ouzts; six other grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 3 Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home by the Rev. Leland S. Scott. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are John Akins, Josh Kirby, Tim Biagotti, Jade Stalnaker, J.D. Smith, Dewey McClain and Doug Shannon.
Honorary escorts are Frank and Mildred Witt, Annie Mae James, Audrey Duncan, Virginia Putnam and Lori Akins.
Visitation is from 2-3 Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, S.C. 29646.

Gladys H. Winton
HODGES — Gladys Holsonback Winton, 82, of 134 Albatross Road, wife of Robert Keith Winton, passed away Aug. 3, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in McCormick County, she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a sister, Mildred Nunn of Wagener; and a brother, Derrick Holsonback of Newton, Miss.
Memorials may be made to the V.F.W.

Abigail Elizabeth Zook
ABBEVILLE — Abigail Elizabeth Zook, infant daughter of Paul and Miriam Zook, passed away Aug. 4, 2001.
Survivors include her parents of the home; two brothers, Machael Ethan Zook and Patrick Andrew Zook, both of the home; and paternal grandparents, Amos and Linda Zook of Gap, Pa.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday in Cold Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery by Pastor Merl Beiler.
Harris Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Sandra Burton
CALHOUN FALLS — Sandra Jean Simpson Burton, 58, of 209 Craft St., wife of Ralph Burton, passed away Aug. 7, 2001, at University Medical Center, Charleston.
Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Lorraine Timms Simpson. She was a spinner in the textile industry and a member of the Willing Workers of Calhoun Falls and Northside Baptist Church. She was twice married, first to the late Marion “Tot” Johnson Sr.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol West of Greenville; two sons, Marion Johnson Jr. of Abbeville and B.J. Johnson of Calhoun Falls; four stepdaughters, Debbie McCray of Gastonia, N.C., Teresa “Wee Wee” Miller of Bowie, Md., and Janet Wilson and Amy Bowen, both of Calhoun Falls; three stepsons, Wally Burton of Greer, Crockey Burton of Calhoun Falls and Seal Burton of Elberton, Ga.; two sisters, Linda Gilreath and Vicki Lowe, both of Calhoun Falls; a brother, Larry Simpson of Anderson; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 4 Thursday at Northside Baptist Church by the Revs. Jerry Dalton and Sidney Teddar. The body will be placed in the church at 3. Burial is in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.

Nell Culbertson
WARE SHOALS — Eugenia “Nell” Boland Culbertson, 78, of Poplar Springs Road, widow of Joseph T. Culbertson, passed away Aug. 7, 2001, at her home.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Boyce and Lula Anderson Boland. She retired from Richloom and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and the Boyd Bobo Chapter of Eastern Star.
Survivors include three sisters, Julia Babb of Ware Shoals, Martha Mattison of Honea Path and Doris Culbertson of Greenwood.
Services will be conducted at 3 Thursday at Parker-White Funeral Home by the Revs. Todd Horton and Horace Benjamin. Burial is in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-3 Thursday at the funeral home.
The families are at their respective homes.

Jenny Louise Dyar
ABBEVILLE — Jenny Louise Gilliam Dyar, 82, widow of Dillard Dyar, passed away Aug. 7, 2001, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.
Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Mott and Margaret Gilliam. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church, the Killingsworth Sunday School Class, Circle No. 4, and the Methodist Good Timers. She was twice married, first to the late Robert Gordon Mundy Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Roseann Hill of Charlotte; a son, Drew Mundy of Abbeville; a brother, Buddy Gilliam of Abbeville; two sisters, Juanita Skinner of Florence and Margaret Copeland of Abbeville; and five grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 Friday at Main Street Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert B. Clemons. Burial is in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from 1 until service time Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
The family is at 202 Milwood Road.

GREENWOOD — Services for Burdell Roundtree, of 109 Oakland Street, will be conducted at 1 Friday at Robinson & Son Mortuary by the Rev. John R. Brightharp. Burial is in Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are nephews, and flower bearers are nieces.
Visitation is Thursday evening at the home of a brother, Earl Roundtree, 107 Oakland Street.

Mary Ouzts Williams
GREENWOOD — Mary Alice Ouzts Williams, 62, of 704-A Green St., wife of Thomas Williams, passed away Aug. 7, 2001, at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Cornelia Childs Ouzts.
Survivors include her husband of the home; five daughters, Diana Brown, Barbara Lockhart, Deborah Williams, Alice Williams and Sarah Williams, all of Greenwood; a sister, Daisy Collier of Greenwood; 15 grandchildren, one reared in the home, Rebecca Williams; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home and at the home of a daughter, Alice Williams, 706 Green St.
Services will be announced by Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Debra Darlene Carroll
GREENWOOD — Services for Debra Darlene Carroll are at 1 Tuesday at Pine Grove A.M.E. Church, Callison Highway, with the Rev. James Bates Jr. officiating and the Rev. Annette Edwards presiding. Assisting are the Revs. Patricia Tolbert and Thomas Duncan. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Curtis Parks, James Jones, Sammy Carroll, Anthony Nicholson, Derrick Nicholson and Stevie Hentz.
Flower bearers are classmates of Greenwood High School Class of 1977 and cousins.
Visitation is from 7-8 tonight at Parks Funeral Home.

GREENWOOD — Ruthey Banks Clary, 77, of 406 Lowell St., widow of Homer Howard Clary, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at the home of a daughter in Greer.

Bennie C. Faulkner Sr.
GILBERT — Bennie C. “Pa” Faulkner Sr., 81, of Broad Street, husband of Juanita Cato Faulkner, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001.
Born in Ninety Six, he was a son of the late Percy Thomas and Mary Jane Arnold Faulkner. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gilbert and a retired loom fixer from the textile industry. A veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War, he served in the Merchant Marines. He was first married to the late Christine Bennett Faulkner.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Nicki Bedenbaugh and Teresa Oswald, both of Leesville, Nancy Wooten and Helen Faulkner, both of Gilbert, Judy Boozer of Prosperity and Joann Faulkner of Steadman; a sister, Tib Minor of Greenwood; two stepsons, Doug Cato and Mike Cato, both of Lexington; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Gilbert, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Lee. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons, and honorary pallbearers are granddaughters.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Charles R. Shealy & Son Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville.
The family is at the home.

Fred Hull Feldmann
GREENWOOD — Fred Hull Feldmann, 91, of 123 Lovely Lane, husband of Joanna McDonald Feldmann, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at his home.
Born in Springfield, Ohio, he was a son of the late Fred Henry and Alta Hull Feldmann. He graduated from Wittenberg University and retired from Ohio Edison Co., both in Springfield. A member of Main Street United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Greenwood Lions Club. He was a past president and secretary-treasurer of North Hampton Lions Club, North Hampton, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Fred H. Feldmann Jr. of Cincinnati; a daughter, Judy L. Zink of Springfield; two stepdaughters, Marianna Wells of Columbus, Ohio and Marilyn McConnell of Clearwater, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 Wednesday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Carol Peppers-Wray and Larry Jenkins. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are grandsons.
Honorary escorts are members of Greenwood Lions Club.
Visitation is from 6-8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
