NINETY SIX — Services for Jessie Thompson Jr., of 625 Little Mountain Road, will be at 1 Monday at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc., conducted by the Rev. Arthur Kemp. Burial is in Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Carey Daniels, Kenneth Blair and nephews.
Flower bearers are nieces and cousins.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 7-8 tonight.

Wallace R. Fuller
LAURENS — Wallace Ralph Fuller, 78, widower of Lillie Cullens Fuller, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at National Health Care.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Agustas and Beaulah Faulkner Fuller. He was a retired employee of Riegel Textiles and a farmer. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Fuller and Raymond Fuller, both of Laurens; three sisters, Ruth Witt and Fannie Belle Moody, both of Greenwood and Mertle Crenshaw of Laurens and two grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 11 Monday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Martin Willis, with visitation after the service.
The family is at the home of a son, Bobby Fuller, 363 Nelson Road.
Memorials may be made to National Health Care of Laurens, Resident Services, 301 Pinehaven St., Laurens, SC 29360.

HODGES — Services for Joyce Jones, of 4417 Cokesbury Road, will be at 2 Tuesday at Good Hope Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Waltiwanger. Burial is in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are cousins and friends of the family.
Visitation is Monday evening at the home.

Nathan C. McSwain
ENOREE — Nathan Carl McSwain, 58, of 6611 Highway 92, husband of Teresa Martin McSwain, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Self Regional Healthcare.
Born in Harriman, Tenn., he was a son of the late Carl Seth and Juanita Davis McSwain. He was the co-owner of McSwain Brothers Company and served in the National Guard for nine years. He was a member of Lanford Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home is a daughter, Kelli May of Clinton; two brothers, Malcolm McSwain of Laurens and Kenneth McSwain of Greenwood and a granddaughter.
Graveside services are at 11 Tuesday at Lanford Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Revs. John Lee, Tony Crouch and Tom Cooper.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the Kennedy Mortuary.
The family is at the home.

Ora Padgett
SALUDA — Ora Moore Padgett, 93, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Newberry Memorial Hospital.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late John and Celia Herbert Coleman. She attended public schools in Saluda County.
Survivors include a daughter, Sophia Harrison of Saluda; two sons, James O. and Elester Moore of Norristown, Pa. and two sisters, Ethelrene Taylor and Alberta C. Williams of Saluda.
Services are at 1 Thursday at Rock Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation is from 6-7 Wednesday at Logan Funeral Home.

Earl Peterson
NINETY SIX — Earl Peterson, formerly of Ninety Six, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Aiken.
Born in Ninety Six, he was a son of the late Dyke and Olena Halloway Peterson. He was a graduate of Edgewood High School. He was an Army and Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Dewita Jones of Atlanta; two sisters, Emma Peterson Bryant of Hodges and Nancy Bell Peterson of Norfolk, Va. and a brother, Graham Peterson of Southfield, Mich.
The family is at the home of a sister, Emma Peterson Bryant, 925 Dixie Drive, Hodges.
Services will be announced by Daniel and Sons Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Nancy F. Taylor
HODGES — Nancy Faulks Taylor, 96, of 4803 Pickens Creek Road, widow of George Albert Taylor, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at the McCormick Health Care Center.
Born in Monroe, N.C., she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Ida Mae Gordon Faulks. She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Edward Taylor and Hugh Albert Taylor, both of Hodges; two sisters, Ena Robbs of Newberry and Cornelia Chasteen of Greenville; a brother, George Faulks of Woodruff; a step-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Lamar Babb. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Harley Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of her son, Steve Taylor, 4803 Pickens Creek Road.

Frank Addy
GREENWOOD - Frank Lyles Addy, 87, husband of Mary Louise Proctor Addy, passed away December 17, 2001 at Wesley Commons.
Born in Newberry County, June 25, 1914, he was a son of the late George Appleton and Nora Louise Lyles Addy. Mr. Addy was associated with the business community of Greenwood since 1935, having been sales representative for Sunshine Biscuits for 20 years, and as co-owner of Frank Addy Jewelers for 47 years.
A charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, he served the church in many of its positions. He was a past president of the Retail Jewelers of South Carolina and a director of the South Carolina Retail Merchants Association. He was a Thirty-second Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a past Master of Greenwood Masonic Lodge #91, AFM, a Shriner, past Captain of the Shriners' Oriental Band and a director and treasurer of the Faith Home.
Mr. Addy was predeceased in death by his son, Frank Robert Addy, Sr. Surviving in addition to his wife of Greenwood, are a daughter-in-law, Mary Katherine Addy of Greenwood; two grandsons, Frank Robert Addy, Jr. of Greenwood and Douglas Michael Addy of Columbia; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Nixon Addy, Frank Robert Addy, III, Grayson Nell Addy and Lyles Cooper Addy.
Funeral services will be conducted 11AM Wednesday at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Timmerman officiating.
Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Hardy "Bo" Coursey, Dennis Hammett, Bill Wilson, Hank Hartfield, David Nickles, Joel Nickles, Tom Ates, Jerry Latham and Charles Lockaby.
Honorary escort will be members of the Adult Class of St. Mark United Methodist Church, friends of Faith Home and Alcoholics Anonymous along with Joan Tollison, Audrey Lockaby and Dean Cox.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 10AM Wednesday.
The family is at the home of Mary Katherine Addy and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:30 Tuesday evening.

Willie Louis Whitaker
NINETY SIX — Willie Louis Whitaker, 56, of 110 Patterson Drive, husband of Marie W. Whitaker, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Ninety Six.
Born in Richland County, he was a son of Ella Mae Whitaker and the late Jasper Whitaker. He retired from Solutia and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his mother Greensboro, N.C.; his wife of the home; a son, Michael Wilson of Ninety Six; four daughters, Michelle Whitaker, Debra Wright and Hope McBride, all of Greenwood and Deloris Whitaker of Detroit; three brothers, Jasper Whitaker Jr., Gustarvia Whitaker and Vince Whitaker, all of Greensboro; six sisters, Annie Mae Hester of Charlotte, N.C., Alice Ward of Washington , D.C., and Joann Knight, Minnie Barber, Sharon Thompson and Maudia Kaba, all of Greensboro; paternal grandmother, Annie Bell Roach of Charlotte; and two grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 Thursday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, New Market Street, with burial in Oakbrook Memorial Gardens, both in Greenwood.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Hope McBride, 124 Barkwood Lane, Greenwood.

Myrtie Ashley
HONEA PATH — Myrtie Cleo Ashley, 101, formerly of Louisiana Street, widow of Clyde W. Ashley, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at National Health Care in Anderson.
Born in the Barkers Creek Community, she was a daughter of the late Orr and Kitsy Taylor Ashley. She attended Barkers Creek School and was a member of Keowee Baptist Church, where she was in the Mothers Class and sang in the choir for many years. She was a homemaker and a practical nurse in and around Anderson County.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde Ashley Jr. and Louie Ashley, both of Honea Path; two daughters, Rebecca A. Smith of Hodges and Joyce A. Field of Belton; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 1 Thursday at Keowee Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Mize and the Rev. Benjamin Taylor. Burial is in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Pruitt Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of a son, Clyde Ashley Jr., 303 Heyward Ave.

Alonzo Crosby Sr.
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Alonzo Crosby Sr., 81, of Nesconset Nursing Home in New York, widower of Rosa Lee Crosby, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at St. Cathanie Hospital.
Born in Abbeville County, S.C., he was a son of the late James and Hattie Butler Crosby. He was a retired highway construction worker and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda McCullough of Dunwoody, Ga., and Loretta Williams and Linda Crosby, both of Brooklyn; a son, Alonzo Crosby Jr. of Dunwoody; two sisters, Evelyn C. Morton of Abbeville, S.C., and Addie C. Howard of Durham, N.C.; a brother, Melvin Crosby of Abbeville; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Brown and Walker Funeral Home, Abbeville, S.C., which is in charge.

Charlie T. Fain Jr.
GRANITEVILLE — Charlie Thomas Fain Jr., 66, husband of Marilyn Jordan Fain, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, in Graniteville.
Born in Wilkes County, Ga., he was a son of the late Charlie Thomas Fain Sr. and Maggie Hogan Fain. He was of the Baptist faith, and he was a retired loom fixer with Graniteville Co.
Survivors include his wife of Graniteville; two daughters, Rena Humphreys of Abbeville and Rhonda Parker of Aiken; four sons, James Fain of Calhoun Falls, Eddie Fain of Saluda, Lonnie Fain of Ninety Six and Brian Fain of Durham, N.C.; a sister, Wadine Haltiwanger of Ward; a brother, Wayne Fain of Fort Mill; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 2 today in Travis Park Cemetery, Saluda, conducted by the Rev. Cecil Goff.

Olin T. Fletcher
ANDERSON — Olin Thomas Fletcher, 91, of 3507 Wilmont St., widower of Bertie Smalley Fletcher, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at the Hospice House.
Born in Jasper, Fla., he was a son of the late George N. and Mildred Thomas Fletcher. He worked in the textile industry and was a Navy World War II veteran, serving in the Pacific. He was a member of Homeland Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Fletcher Blume of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Claudia Campbell of the home; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with military rites are at 2 Thursday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Bullions.
Visitation is from 6-8:30 tonight at Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Dr. Ralsa M. Fuller
CLINTON - Dr. Ralsa M. Fuller age 77 and formerly of 203 York St. passed away Tuesday, December 18th at the St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
He was born in Greenwood, S.C. and was a son of the late Ralsa Marshall and Louise Britt Fuller. Dr. Fuller received his undergraduate education at Emory University and Erskine College and received his M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a member of the Underwater Demolition team and Air Sea Rescue. Dr. Fuller practiced his entire medical career in Clinton where he was a member of the First Baptist Church, actively involved in the Clinton Kiwanis Club, the American Legion and various other civic activities in his community.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Everett P. Fuller and his wife Ann of Greenville; one daughter, Susan F. Hinrichs and her husband Tom of Charlotte, N.C.; five granddaughters, Katy and Jenny Fuller and Elizabeth, Margaret and Ellen Hinrichs; one sister, Lillie Louise Moredock and her husband, William M. of Fort Mill; one aunt, Alice Britt Carpenter of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Poole Littlejohn and her husband, Broadus Richard of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Poole Fuller.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Rosemont Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the family receiving friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 301 S. Broad St., Clinton, S.C. 29325 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Lois Abrams, 111 E. Walnut St., Clinton, S.C. 29325.
