GREENWOOD — Services for Patricia Ann Mitchell Goodman, of 406 Ron McNair Drive, will be conducted at 3 Friday at Flint Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. John R. Brightharp. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Heyward Booker, Moultrie Booker Jr., Timothy Booker, Richard Lewis, Charles Edward Booker and Odell Jennings.
Flower bearers are members of Greenwood High School Class of 1978, along with Sylvia Tompkins and Cynthia Pinkett.
Viewing is Thursday only, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. at Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home. The family is at the home.

Rev. Dr. Farrell D. Jenkins
SPARTANBURG — The Rev. Dr. Farrell D. Jenkins, of 210 Arrowhead Circle, husband of the Rev. Jane Driver Jenkins, passed away July 10, 2001, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Dahlgren, Ill., he was a son of the late Herbert R. and Laura Meadows Jenkins. He was minister of outreach at Bethel United Methodist Church, Spartanburg, from 1976-86 and Pastor Emeritus since 1986. Formerly he was senior pastor at First United Methodist Church, Downers Grove, Ill., for 13 years, and served pastorates in Waukegan, Centralia, Salem and East St. Louis, Ill. A delegate to three General Conferences of the United Methodist Church and to four Jurisdictional Conferences, he also served as a member of the General Board of Church and Society after United Methodist denomination. For 20 years he served as executive secretary of evangelism in Illinois and authored several books on evangelism. In Spartanburg, he was president of the interdenominational Shepherd’s Center, served on the Spartanburg County Council on Aging, the Community Concerts Association and the Chamber of Commerce and taught continuing education courses at the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg.
He studied at McKendree College, Lebanon, Ill., Garrett Theological Seminary, Evanston, Ill., and received a master’s degree in Christian education from Fuller Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Ky. He was first married to the late Bonita Lamp Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Donnell D. Jenkins of Galena, Ill., Gary D. Jenkins of Vandalia, Ill., and John Wesley Jenkins of Chicago; two stepchildren, Michael Hall and Diana Hall, both of Spartanburg; a sister, Dr. Vergene Colloms of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Lawrence F. Hays Jr., Daniel A. Morrison Jr. and J. Taylor Campbell. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 9:45-10:45 Friday in the church fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to The United Methodist Committee on Relief, c/o Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S. Church St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29306.
The family is at the home.

Jennie Kay
GREENWOOD - Jennie Tinkler Kay, 89, of 105 Hill & Dale Drive, widow of Fred Kay, Jr., passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Daniel F. and Susie Vines Tinkler. She was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church and the Ladies Bible Class, in addition to the Women's Golf Asso-ciation of the Greenwood Country Club, Callie Self Chapter #199, OES, and the Thrift Garden Club.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce K. and Eddie Bartless of Greenwood; a brother, John Tinkler of Cliffside, NC; and three granddaughters, Jennifer Bartless and her husband, Gerald Pitts, Freddia Bartless and Rebecca Bartless.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mathews United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nellie Cloninger and the Rev. John G. Hipp officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Special music will be provided by the Rev. Bob Vehorn. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Robert Abercrombie, Allen Irwin, Bill Hodges, Marvin Rush, Jim Lawton, Chris McCune, and Ken Bennett.
Honorary escort will be members of the Hill & Dale community and members of the Women's Golf Association along with Nora Mabrey, Mildred Simmons, and Jennifred Trotter.
The family is at the home of Eddie and Joyce Bartless, 304 Plantation Drive, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Ruth McCary
NINETY SIX — Ruth Holley McCary, 88, of 137 Pinehaven Drive, widow of Orlando McCary, passed away July 11, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Burke County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late John Oliver and Lucy Williams Holley. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Temple Baptist Church, where she was a former Junior Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include a sister, Gladys Holley of the home.
Services will be conducted at 3 Thursday at Temple Baptist Church by the Revs. Lee Going and Tommy Cartledge. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are nephews and grandnephews.
Honorary escorts are the men of the church, along with David Vickery, Gene Goodman, Alton Vaughn and Dr. William Long.
Visitation is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 95 Saluda St., Ninety Six, S.C. 29666.

Willie McManus Jr.
EDGEFIELD — Willie “June Mack” McManus Jr., 62, of 350 Morgan Bussey Road, passed away July 5, 2001.
Born in Edgefield County, he was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Scott, and a son, Tyrone “Terry” Mack, both of Clearwater, Fla.; his mother, Rosa McManus of Edgefield; six sisters, Alberta Williams of Aiken, Patricia Reed and Florine Scott, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., Helen M. Moore and Deborah Morgan, both of Edgefield and Arrie Joseph of Elizabeth, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
Closed-casket services are at 2 Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Willie Patten. Burial is in the church cemetery.
G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary is in charge.

GREENWOOD — Services for William Sprowl, of 617 Evans St., will be conducted at 2 Friday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church by the Rev. Raymond Adams. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are nephews and friends.
Flower bearers are nieces and friends.
Honorary escorts are members of Sons of Aide.
Visitation is from 7-8 Thursday at the home.

GREENWOOD — Martha Marie Temple, 91, of 106 Piedmont Ave., passed away July 11, 2001, at the National Health Care Center.
Services will be announced by Harley Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Annie Mae Case Thomas
GREENWOOD — Annie Mae Case Thomas, 80, of 103 Southern Ave., passed away July 9, 2001, at her home.
Born in Canton, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Richard and Bonnie Mae Case. She was a homemaker and a member of South Greenwood Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, James W. Fletcher of Greenwood and Gene Fletcher Sr. of Rock Hill; a brother, Chad Case of Canton; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 Thursday at Harley Funeral Home by the Rev. Ken Timmerman. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Paul, Ricky, Frankie, Chris, Billy and Jimmy Fletcher.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Frances Agnew
DONALDS — Frances Butler Agnew, 84, widow of George Leland Agnew, formerly of Shoals Junction, passed away July 12, 2001, at National Health Care.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Olin and Gussie Davenport Butler. She was a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a brother, Paul Butler of Hodges.
Graveside services are at 3 Saturday in Greenville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, conducted by the Revs. George Wilson and Lamar Babb.
Visitation is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Butler, Highway 178 South, Hodges.

Mose Anderson Jr.
WARE SHOALS — Mose Anderson Jr., 37-B West Main St. Extension, passed away July 13, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.

GREENWOOD — John Woodrow Kelley, 80, of 3409 Highway 25 South, husband of Gladys Louise Morris Kelley, passed away July 12, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Paul F. and Emma Owens Kelley. He retired from Parke-Davis and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Jimmy E. Kelley of Greenwood; two daughters, Shirley K. Butler of Ware Shoals and Gloria K. Parkman of Greenwood; three sisters, Nellie Fisher of Ninety Six, Bertha Bryson of Greenwood and Dolly Bryson of Brevard, N.C.; a brother, Ben Kelley of Greenwood; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Saturday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. James Kelley and Timothy Thompson. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Eric Butler, Robbie Parkman, Mark Parkman, Hilton Dodgen Jr., Wayne Rogers and Clay Getsinger.

Born in Edgefield County, she was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Johnston.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Joan Shedrick of Johnston and Vermell Mathis of Temple Hill, Md.; two sons, James Edward Morgan of Edgefield and Charles Morgan of Aiken; seven sisters, Ruth Thomas of Aiken, Edith Lanham, Victoria Trottman and Ida Nicholson, all of Johnston, Mamie Neal of New York, Helen Roberts of Jamaica, N.Y., and Margaret Browder of Maryland; a brother, Wade Nicholson of Washington , D.C.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are at 3 Sunday at Simmon Ridge Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. George L. Brightharp. Burial is in the church cemetery.

John Ruley
NINETY SIX - John W. Ruley, Sr., 85, of 2610 Highway 246 South, husband of Mary Hawkins Ruley, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at his home.
Born in Franklin, KY, he was a son of the late Ben and Ida Belle Belcher Ruley. He was a superintendent for G. E. Moore Construction for 31 years and was a member of Woodfields Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Ann R. Lewis and Mary Jane Richmond.
Surviving is his wife of the home; four daughters, Belinda Stargel, Debbie Hasting and Johnette Cobb, all of Ninety Six and Carol Anne Thee of St. Louis, MO; a son, John Ruley, Jr. of Ninety Six; two sisters, Anna Belle Forshee of Franklin, KY and Betty Mae Dimler of Memphis, TN; a brother, Tom Ruley of Franklin, KY; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Miller and Stu Mizelle officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Travis Fuller, Rodney McCarthy, Yeargin Harter, Chris Griffin, Brant Rogers, and Harden Hawkins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Marie Temple
GREENWOOD — Martha Marie Temple, 91, of 106 Piedmont Ave., widow of Roy Amos Temple, passed away July 11, 2001, at NHC Healthcare.
Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Frederick and Inis Elizabeth Thompson Fulmer. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a beautician and former owner of Temple’s Grocery in Elk Mills, Md. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a sister, Minnie Lee Balchin of Lexington.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church by the Rev. Gayle Summey.
Visitation is after the service in the church fellowship hall.
The family is at the home of Jimmy and Nancy Corley, with whom she made her home, 106 Piedmont Ave.
Memorials may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 1808 Callison Highway, Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
