ABBEVILLE — Services for Nettie Klugh Ervin, of 627 Klugh Road, will be at 1 Thursday at St. John A.M.E. Church, conducted by the Rev. Roland E.D. Sigman, assisted by the Revs. W.B. Brown, W.W. Henderson, W.B. Williams and J.J. Robinson. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in Evening Star Memorial Gardens, Greenwood.
Pallbearers are Oscar Klugh Jr., Larry Lake, James H. Klugh, Thomas Shelman, Eric Styles and John Mitchell.
Flower bearers are Janice K. Tyre, Brenda J. Klugh, Denise Klugh, Gwen Martin, Mabel Williams and Dorothy Hill.
Visitation is from 7-8 Wednesday at the home.
Additional survivors are two brothers, Tharie Klugh of the home and the Rev. Oscar A. Klugh of Abbeville; and two stepsons, Fleming Ervin of Greenwood and Leroy Ervin of New Jersey.

WARE SHOALS — Lewis L. Foxx, 73, of West Cork Street, husband of Angie Foxx, passed away May 1, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
The family is at the home of Henry and JoAnn Dyal, 370 Buddy Knight Road, Ware Shoals.
Services will be announced by Parker-White Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Willie Earl Hawes
PROMISED LAND — Willie Earl “Brother” Hawes, 78, of 608 Lorenzo Road, passed away April 30, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Ulysses “U.G.” and Derquis Moragne Hawes. He was a railroad engineer for Conrail and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and former Sunday school superintendent.
Survivors include four sisters, Jeanette Humphries of Greenwood, Clara Smith of Chicago, Annie Evans of Promised Land and Dorothy Dowtin of Temple Hill, Md.; and a niece reared in the home, Jacqueline Hawes Hester of Philadelphia.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc., Greenwood, which is in charge.

Lillian Hill
NINETY SIX — Mary Lillian Watkins Hill, 78, of 1006 Highway 248, widow of Jesse Claude “Jake” Hill, passed away April 30, 2001, at Saluda Nursing Center.
Visitation is from 7-9 Wednesday at Blyth Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of a son, Danny Hill, 302 Sherrard Road, Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Mahulda Woolridge Mims
GREENWOOD — Mahulda Reynolds Woolridge Mims, 98, of 128 S. University St., passed away April 30, 2001, at her home.
Born in Bradley, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jannie Miller Reynolds. She was first married to the late Edward Woolridge. A housekeeper, she was a member of Weston Chapel A.M.E. Church and a former member of Cedar Grove A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Jennie Owens of Detroit, Verstine Dickens of Washington , D.C., and Mary Woolridge, Anita Smith and Alice Butler, all of Greenwood; 17 grandchildren, three reared in the home, Cynthia Dickens Robinson, Jacquelyn Chappell and Marilyn Robinson; four great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Betty Hall Anderson
GREENWOOD — Betty Ruth Hall Anderson, 55, of 516 Grace St., wife of Nick Anderson Jr., passed away May 19, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of Leola Burkett Hall Addis and the late William “Bill” Hall. She was self-employed with Nick Anderson Paint Contractors.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother of Honea Path; five sons, Christopher Scott Anderson of the home, Daryl Lee McAlister of Beaufort and William Walter McAlister, Ralph E. McAlister Jr. and Nicolas Anderson III, all of Greenwood; four daughters, Leslie Nicole Anderson of the home, Sylvia Irene Barbour and Tina Louise Anderson, both of Greenwood and Carol Marie Kimling of Spartanburg; four sisters, Brenda Haynes of Honea Path, Joyce Pryor of Laurens, Mary Snider of Ware Shoals and Kathleen Suttles of Waterloo; two brothers, Bobby Hall of Honea Path and Jerry Hall of Ware Shoals; and 10 grandchildren.
Services are at 2 Monday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Bobby Davis and Frank Thomas.
Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Billy Ray Morgan, Robert Suttles Jr., Randy Morgan, Marvin Ray Wrenn, Ricky Morgan and Jerry Snider.
Honorary escorts are Larry Proffit and Fred Neil Jr.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1741, Greenwood, S.C. 29648.

MERITT ISLAND, Fla. — Maedella Gertrude Sanders Bolton, 91, of 500 Crocket Blvd., formerly of Greenwood, S.C., widow of Lewis S. Bolton, passed away May 17, 2001, at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, which is in charge.

Bennie Burdette
WARE SHOALS — Bennie B. Burdette, 65, of Peoples Residence, passed away May 18, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in Iva, he was a son of the late Robert Mason and Rosa Latham Burdette. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two sisters, Sara Lindsey of Spartanburg and Myrtle Quade of Abbeville.
Graveside services are at 3:30 today in Latimer Cemetery, Calhoun Falls, conducted by the Rev. George Hill. Visitation is from 2-3 today at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville.
The family is at the home of a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Quade, 101 Woodview Apartments, Abbeville. Memorials may be made to the Emerald Center, P.O. Box 3004, Greenwood, S.C. 29648.

Viola McKinney
NINETY SIX — Viola Elizabeth “Flossie” Loftis McKinney, of 3803 Pine Knoll Court, Martinez, Ga., formerly of Ninety Six, widow of George W. McKinney, passed away May 19, 2001, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Doris G. Rapley
ABBEVILLE — Services for Doris G. Rapley, of 113 Virginia Drive, will be at 1 Monday at Long Cane A.M.E. Church, conducted by the Revs. A.R. Kollock Sr., and Wayman Coleman III. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are trustees and stewards of the church.
Flower bearers are members of Abbeville High School Class of 1974, Abbeville Explosives P.G.H. and Long Cane A.M.E Missionary Society.
The family is at the home.

Lillian Wilkerson
McCORMICK — Lillian Wilkerson, formerly of Carolina Street, passed away May 18, 2001, at McCormick Health Care.
Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late Anna Wigfall. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a retired dry-cleaning employee.
Survivors include four sisters, Nora Lee Sales and Martha Murray, both of Greenville, Matilda Ponder of New York City and Dorothy Searles of McCormick; and a brother, Dock Searles of Greenwood.
The family is at the home of a niece, Jacqueline Searles, Westtowne Apartments, H-1, McCormick.
Services will be announced by Walker Funeral Home, which is in charge.

GREENWOOD — Dan Devore Agner, 86, of 745 Circle Drive, passed away May 22, 2001, at University Hospital in Augusta.

Maedella Bolton
MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. — Maedella Sanders Bolton, 91, of 500 Crocket Blvd., formerly of Greenwood, S.C., widow of Lewis S. Bolton, passed away May 17, 2001.
Born in Elbert County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Jonah and Agatha Sanders Sanders. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Greenwood, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Survivors include a son, Ray Steven Bolton of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Hal Lane.
Memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 215 Bypass 225 S., Greenwood, S.C. 29649.

Jack Fleming
GREENWOOD - Jackson E. Fleming, 61, of 235 Florida Avenue, Apt. 79, husband of Patricia Nell Brewer Fleming, passed away Monday, May 21, 2001 at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Elberton, GA, he was a son of the late George F. and Bertha Lou Balchin Fleming. He was retired from Neptune Meas-urement Company. He was a member of Friendship Lodge #25 A.F.M. and Mathews United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Chugg Mathews Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl W. Fleming, James T. Fleming, and Harry Fleming and three sisters, Mary Ellen Sarkilahti, Margaret Gail Fleming and Irma Lou Fleming.
Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons, Jackson R. "Jackie" Fleming and Johnny Ray Fleming, Sr., both of Green-wood; two brothers, Elmer G. Fleming of Newberry and Steve R. Fleming of Carlton, NC; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hipp, the Rev. George H. Fizer, and the Rev. Lewis Sherard officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Dale Fleming, Kenneth Fleming, Jimmy Dale Fleming, Rodney Fleming, Jason Pittard, Stephen Fleming, Ken Livingston, Gary Napier, and Ray Roton.
Honorary escort will be members of the Chugg Mathews Sunday School Class of Mathews United Methodist Church, members of Friendship Lodge #25 A.F.M., along with Dr. O. M. Cobb, Dr. Raymond Lewis, John Devore, Scott Hines and Johnny Hannah.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic rites following visitation.
The family is at the home of his son, Jackie Fleming, 1114 Northlake Drive.

Evelyn Harter
GREENWOOD — Evelyn Louise Harter, 84, formerly of Greenwood, passed away May 21, 2001, at Lexington Medical Center Extended Facility.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Stephen Elias and Carrie Ellenburg Harter. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by the Rev. Ryan Eklund.
Visitation will be at the church after the services.
Memorials may be made to the Volunteer Department of Lexington Medical Center Extended Care Home, 815 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, S.C. 29072.

Dan Agner
GREENWOOD — Dan Devore “Tucker” Agner, 86, of 745 Circle Drive, widower of Bessie Donovan Agner, passed away May 22, 2001, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late James Thomas “Jim” and Willie Lee Wheat Agner. He retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant, and was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, Modoc. He was twice married, first to the late Ethel Doolittle Agner.
Survivors include two sisters, Edith Carey of Augusta and Minnie Lee Harris of Macon, Ga.
Services are at 4 Thursday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Davis. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Bobby Agner, Robbie Agner, Donald Gibert, Wayne Agner, Tim Doolittle and Vic Irby.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
