Pichegru Woolfolk Jr.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Pichegru Woolfolk Jr., 84, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, in College Station.
Born in Baltimore, he was a World War II veteran who received the Bronze Star, four Battle Stars and the Purple Heart. He was owner of Executive Service Coffee Co. in Birmingham, Ala.
He was twice married, first to the late Mary Morris Woolfolk and second to the late Mary Amelia Whitson Woolfolk.
Survivors include two sons, Pichegru Woolfolk III of Raleigh, N.C., and J. Willard Whitson of Philadelphia; two daughters, Mary Ellen Davenport of College Station and Diane Bonnell of Ninety Six, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Parham Waggener and Bettie Harden, both of Atlanta; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 2 Saturday in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.
Hillier Funeral Home, Bryan, is in charge.

Caroleen ‘Jo’ Wrenn
GREENWOOD — Caroleen “Jo” Roper Wrenn, of 2107 Airport Road, widow of Edwin Thomas Wrenn, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Della Bailey Roper. She had been employed at Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant and Abney Mills, Grendel Plant and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Wrenn McCall of Abbeville; three sisters, Thelma Fowler of Waterloo, Billie Bryant of Sacramento and Edith Hendricks of Greenwood; and a granddaughter.
Services are at 1 Saturday at Oakbrook Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, conducted by Ricky Dill. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 12-1 Saturday in the chapel.

Mary Loner Chapman
GREENVILLE — Mary Loner Chapman, 82, of 206 Cumberland Ave., died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Abbeville and formerly of Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Greg and Irene Moore Loner. She was retired from Her Majesty and was a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Diane C. Perkins and Harriett I. Chapman, both of Greenville, Caroline Chapman of Clinton and Tillie Knight of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, James R. Chapman of Greenville, Ronald M. Chapman and William E. Chapman, both of Jupiter, Fla.; two sisters, Caroline L. Dalton of Hodges and Judy L. Epps of Ware Shoals; and eight grandchildren.
Services are today at 10:30 a.m., at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
Visitation is from 9:30-10:30 at the mausoleum.
The family is at the home of Diane Perkins, 10 Scarlet St., Greenville.

Mabel Crawford
GREENWOOD — Mabel Richey Crawford, 90, formerly of Greenwood, widow of Erskine P. Crawford, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002 at Mariner Health Care Center in Seneca.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Effie Marie Jones Richey. She was formerly employed by Boyd’s Clothing and retired from Efird’s Department Store in 1977. She was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church and the Reapers Sunday School Class of the church.
Survivors include two sisters, Edna Hill of Ware Shoals and Alice Hendrix of Spartanburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Crawford. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Keith Davis, Ken Davis, Bert Davis, Ronnie Hendrix, Ken Hill and Brian Hanes.
Visitation is at the funeral home from 2-3 Sunday.
Memorials may be made to South Main Street Baptist Church, Children’s Sunday School Department, 1000 S. Main St., Greenwood, S.C. 29646.

Bob Crouch
GREENWOOD — Robert Noah Crouch, 83, 1411 Highway 34, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002.
Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Robert Milam and Sue Griffith Crouch. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a painter.
Survivors include a son, Larry Crouch of Greenwood and a sister, Edna Butler of Saluda.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Sunday in Travis Park Cemetery.
Ramey Funeral Home is in charge.

George L. Hair
GREENWOOD — George L. Hair, 71, of 8 Holman St., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Newberry County, he was a son of the late Willie Wilson Hair and Josie Farrow Hair. He was a member of Scurry Springhill Baptist Church, Chappells.
Survivors include a brother, J.D. Hair of Chappells and a sister, Ellen Anderson of Philadelphia.
Services are at 2 Monday at Scurry Springhill Baptist Church in Chappells. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Viewing is at the church from 1-2 Monday.
Wilson Funeral Home, Newberry, is in charge.

Betty Greene
HONEA PATH — Betty Jean Ross Greene, 66, of 107 Lusk St., widow of Edward Greene, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Sallie Cummings Ross and the late James C. Ross. She was a member of the Honea Path First Presbyterian Church. She was a retired cosmetologist.
Survivors include three sons, Leonard Qualls of Donalds, Lamar Qualls of Lake Jackson, Texas and Wesley Qualls of Houston; a daughter, Ladelle Holcombe of Williamston; three brothers, Thomas Aaron Ross of Princeton, Reuben Ross of Bellville, Ill. and James Casper Ross Jr. of Honea Path; three sisters, Roxie Earlene DeLonch of Fort Worth, Texas , Loretta Ramsey of Honea Path and Jeanette Chadwick of Honea Path and six grandchildren.
Services are at 4 Monday at the Honea Path First Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Tom Sherer. Burial is in the Garden of Memories. The body will be placed in the church at 3.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Pruitt Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.

Virginia Ouzts
GREENWOOD — Virginia Robinson Ouzts, 89, formerly of 2018 Kirksey-Pittsburgh Road, Troy, wife of J. Carroll Ouzts, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at National Health Care of Greenwood.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Joe P. Sr. and Essie Shirley Robinson. She was a graduate of Starr High School and Lander College. She formerly taught in the public schools of Anderson and retired from Greenwood School District 50 at Woodfields Elementary School with 38 years teaching. A member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Missionary Society and was a former Sunday School teacher, GA leader and served as director of Vacation Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the South Carolina and the National Education Associations.
Survivors include her husband of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Langdon (Hazel) Rhodes of Ninety Six and three brothers, Joe Robinson of Troy, Lanier Robinson of Anderson and Harold Robinson of Greenwood.
Services are at 4:30 today at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Timothy Thompson and the Rev. Joseph Ouzts. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Wayne Jones, Jerry Jones, Jimmy Chandler, Johnny Rhodes, Stan Robinson, Hal Robinson, Gerald Robinson and Barry Robinson.
Visitation is from 3:30-4:30 today at Blyth Funeral Home.

Curtis Chaney
CALHOUN FALLS — Marion Curtis Chaney, 82, formerly of Burton Drive, husband of Rachel Stewart Chaney, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Easley Nursing Center.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Oliver Curtis and Hattie Taylor Chaney. He was retired from Bigelow-Stanford. He was a World War II Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sherry C. Aiken and Kathy C. Lash, both of Westminster; a sister, Edna Galloway of Oakridge, Tenn. and two grandchildren. Services are at two Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 1-2 Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home.
The family is at their respective homes.

ANDERSON — Marion W. Elledge, 78, of 2209A Boulevard Heights, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Guy and Minnie Stone Elledge. He graduated from the Citadel. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Naomi Godfrey of Ware Shoals.
Graveside services are at 3 Tuesday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Todd Horton.
Pallbearers are Steve Godfrey, Alan Godfrey, Dan Smith, Robert Hall, Kenny Ray Ridgeway and Bill Todd.
Visitation is from 1-2:30 Tuesday at Parker White Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Jose Enejosa Sr.
ABBEVILLE — Jose E. Enejosa Sr., 93, widower of Ligaya Santayana Enejosa, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be announced by Harris Funeral Home, which is in charge.

Ola Mae Hill
ABBEVILLE — Ola Mae Harris Hill, 75, of 308 Campfield Church Road, widow of Joseph Hill Sr., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at her home.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson and Corene Jay Harris. She was a member of Campfield Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess, missionary and choir member. She was also a member of the Piedmont Agency Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Garlington and Edna Rouse, both of Abbeville and Dianne Hill of the home; six sons, Joseph Hill Jr. of Honea Path, Willie Hill of Due West, John Hill, Ben Hill and Allen Kennedy Hill, all of Abbeville and Eddie Hill of Calhoun Falls; four sisters, Millie Jenkins and Verdell Kennedy, both of Evanston, Ill. and Irene Johnson and Ethel Harris, both of Abbeville; a brother, Willie Clinkscales of Greenville; two grandchildren raised in the home, Aurelia (AJ) Scott and Al’leshia Hill; a niece raised in the home, LaTasha Harris and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home of a son, John Hill on Campfield Church Road.
Services will be announced by Brown and Walker Funeral Home, which is in charge.

L.T. Spearman
GREENWOOD — L.T. Spearman, 67, of 705 Clem Road, husband of Annie Ruth Ross Spearman, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Charlie and Ollie Mae Campbell Spearman. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Michael Spearman of the home and Barry Spearman of Greenwood; four daughters, Brenda Griffin, Linda Davis and Sheryl Gray, all of Greenwood and Ardie Spearman of Charlotte, N.C.; five brothers, John L. Spearman, Simeon Spearman, Solomon Spearman and Robert Spearman, all of Greenwood and Kadell Spearman of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Annie Riley of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Percival-Tompkins Funeral Service Inc., which is in charge.

Bertha Williams
GREENWOOD — Bertha Mae Golden Williams, 85, of 206 Sample Road, widow of John Beauford Williams, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Miller and Sophia Ellen Burns Williams. She was a member of Laurel Baptist Church and the Leary Sunday School Class of the Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn W. Duncan of Marion, N.C. and Ann W. Morrah of McCormick; a sister, Sara Yarborough of Spartanburg; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services are at 11 Tuesday at Laurel Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Todd Johnson and the Rev. Allen Smith. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Jack Latham, Bobby Ray Leslie, Bobby Burdette, Butch Banks, Jyll Maddox, Johnny Brinkley and Sonny Lawrence.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 tonight at Blyth Funeral Home.

Dolorine R. Wojtkowski
WARE SHOALS — Dolorine Reilly Wojtkowski, 75, of 16 N. Greenwood Ave., widow of Alfred Frank Wojtkowski, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Nanticoke, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Tom and Margaret Fitzsimons Reilly.
Survivors include two sons, Freddy Wojtkowski of Ware Shoals and Stanley Wojtkowski of New Milford, Pa.; three daughters, Patricia Latshaw of New Milford, Pa., Susan Trail of Donalds and Darlene Tinsley of Ware Shoals; two sisters, Hester Reilly of Springville, Pa. and Peggy Shoback of Denville, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service took place at 3 Sunday at Ware Shoals Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Robert Emory.
The family is at the home.
