Pallbearers are Hozie Johnson, Willie Curenton, Terry Curenton, Hal Curenton, Woodrow Wells and Peter Brown.
Flower bearers are Marcella Brooks, Wilma Turner, LaPonda Turner, LaTasha Brown, Francine Curenton and Tammy Turner.

COLUMBIA — Barbara Othalia “Faye” Goff Dorn, 69, of 136 Lions Gate Drive, wife of David B. Dorn, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Grover G. and Mae Omy Moore Goff. She was a member of Durst Avenue Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, David I. Dorn of Lexington and Roger L. Dorn of Pelion; a brother, Earl Wayne Goff of Greenwood; and two grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Gregory Goff, Gary Moore, Maurice Moore, Billy Ray Goff Jr., Ray Moore and Earl Davenport.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home in Columbia and at the home of her brother, Wayne Goff, 508 Marietta Drive, Greenwood.

Genevieve Henderson
McCORMICK — Genevieve Fleming Henderson, 80, of Route 1, wife of McNeill Henderson, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Due West, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Mina Pruitt Fleming. She was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of McCormick First Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Debbie Daniels and Nancy Wilkie, both of McCormick; a sister, Christine F. Ridgill of Manning; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCormick First Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Dennis Lynn and Doug Kauffmann. Burial is in Overbrook Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tommy Henderson, Marion Henderson, Barney Ouzts, John Henderson, James Bledsoe, David Ridgill and John Ridgill.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Strom Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of a daughter Debbie Daniels, Route 1.

Thomas Nickles, M.D.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Thomas Newton Nickles II, M.D., 57, husband of Elizabeth Anne Nickles, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at his home.
Born in Greenwood County, S.C., he was a son of the late William Allen and Sue Cobb Nickles. He graduated from Clemson University and the South Carolina Medical School, served in the Air Force and practiced medicine in Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Lee Nickles of Birmingham; a son, Thomas Newton Nickles III of Montgomery; a sister, Anne Nickles Snoddy of Greenwood; two brothers, William Allen Nickles Jr. of Hodges and Philip Raymond Nickles of Greenwood.
Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, conducted by the Rev. Ron Stoker.
Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Pierce, Emory Erb, Daniel Huitt, John Giddens, Tommy Klinner, Clyde Elliott, Dr. James McRae, Charles Hopper and Dr. David Bronner.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Bob Piephoff.
Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blyth Funeral Home.

Elvira C. Pacheco
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Mrs. Elvira Correa Pacheco, 90, of Greensboro, died Monday, October 14, 2002 at Evergreens Nursing Home.
Mrs. Pacheco was a native of New Bedford, Massachusetts and had resided in the Greensboro area for the past four years. She was of the Baptist faith.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, SC with the Rev. John White officiating.
She is survived by her son, Robert Pacheco and his wife Charlene Y. Pacheco; grand-daughter, Lynda Pacheco; great grandson, Justin Pacheco; step granddaughters, Cindy Pitts and Michelle Stahl and step-great grandsons, Chase Pitts and Kyle Stahl all of Greenwood, SC.
The family will receive friends at the residence of the son at 6121 Harbor View Lane in Greensboro from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2002.

Wade Branyon, of 306 Davis Ave., widower of Mary Ellen Strickland Branyon, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Marzie Bryant
LINCOLNTON, Ga. — Marzie Lee Ingram Bryant, 81, widow of James “Jim” Patrick Bryant Sr., of C.E. Norman Road, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at University Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a retired textile employee and a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene Bryant of Lincolnton and Juanita “Nita” Bryant of Greenwood; five sons, George Bryant, Jimmy Bryant, Edmond Bryant and Dudley Bryant, all of Lincolnton and Charles Bryant of Washington ; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 3 p.m. today at Hephzibah Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Allen Danner and Randy Dunaway. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Blakey, William Cartledge, James King III, Clarence Norman Jr., Boyce Paradise and Charles Ware.

Vera Ann Wilson Carter, 53, wife of Joseph Carter, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late James and Mattie Brown Wilson. She was a member of John’s Creek Baptist Church, Abbeville County and an employee of Sports Break.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Terry Wilson of the home; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Barksdale of Greenwood and Montrez Bailey of Spartanburg; a niece reared in the home, Monique Wilson; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Lee (Mattie) Richardson, Mrs. Tom (Rosella) Satterwhite and Mrs. Sammie (Katie) Lee, all of Greenwood; a brother, Earnest Wilson of Detroit; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at John’s Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Curtis Carter, assisted by Bishop Emanuel Spearman. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial is in Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Wade Marshall, Stephen Harrington, Randy Lake, Wilbert Booker, Floyd Aiken and Willie Culbreath.

BEAUFORT — Robert Lanier Gay Sr., 61, husband of Beverly Ann Collier Gay, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Born in Beaufort, he was a son of the late John Wicklief and Claudia Mae Youmans Gay. He was co-owner and operator of B&R Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife of Beaufort; three sons, Robert L. “Buck” Gay Jr. and Chad H. Gay, both of Beaufort and Kenner D. Lynn of Bluffton; a brother, Ed Gay of Beaufort; a sister, Jeannette Timmons of Abbeville; and 10 grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Anderson Funeral Home, with burial in Zahler Cemetery, Yemassee.

A secretary at Piedmont Technical College, she was a 1987 Abbeville High School graduate, a 1991 Piedmont Tech graduate, and was continuing studies at Franklin University. She was a member of Mulberry A.M.E. Church, Abbeville County.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her father of Abbeville; a son, De’Shaun Sprowl of the home; a stepson, A.J. Lomax of Greenwood; a daughter, Samantha Sprowl of the home; maternal grandfather, Lucious Lee of Abbeville; maternal grandmother, Julia Mae Lee of Abbeville; a sister, Bettrina Lomax of Abbeville.

DUE WEST — Elizabeth Jean Hagan Ware, 31, of 215 Main St., wife of Danny Mack Ware, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of Edward L. Hagan Jr. and Sandra Jean Ragsdale Hagan. She was a member of Little Mountain Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Dixie High School and MUSC, Charleston and a registered pharmacist.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her parents of Due West; a son, Austin Mack Ware and a daughter, Kathryn Jean Ware, both of the home; a brother, James Edward Hagan of Due West; paternal grandmother, Miriam S. Hagan of Due West; and maternal grandmother, Kathleen S. Ragsdale of Honea Path.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Mountain Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. John Parks. Burial is in the church cemetery.

James Lewis Allen
HODGES — James Lewis Allen, 75, of 116 Woodlawn Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002 at his home.
Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Ozzie Dee and Daisy Luther Allen. He was a World War II Army veteran, an employee of Daniel Construction and a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Lewis Allen, Jerry Lee Allen and Danny Dee Allen, all of Greenwood; a daughter, Kathy Louise Faulkner of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Willie Mae Bagwell; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are nephews and cousins.
Visitation is 12:30-1:30 Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
Family members are at their respective homes.

Wade Branyon
Wade Alton Branyon, 74, of 306 Davis Avenue, widower of Mary Ellen Strickland Branyon, died Monday, October 14, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Williamston, he was a son of the late Arthur M. and Emma McCurley Branyon. He was a purchasing agent with Self Regional Medical Center and was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict in Company F, 26th Infantry. He was a member of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and South Main Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Young and Irene Welborn and three brothers, Norman Branyon, Raymond Branyon and T. B. Branyon.
Surviving are two daughters, Dr. Fredda Branyon of Scottsdale, AZ and Diane Seals of Newport Beach, CA; a son, Wade Steven Branyon of Greenwood; two sisters, Jo B. Creamer of Anderson and Ollie Hiott of Williamston; two brothers, Jason E. Branyon of Williamston and Malcom "Mac" Branyon of Anderson; and two grandchildren, Mark Branyon of Laurens and James Seals of Newport Beach, CA.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hayes Riddle and Rev. Richard McWhite officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
