Bri-Travious Kevonte’ Henderson, infant son of LaTesha N. Anderson and Brian Henderson, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 Self Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Ty-Eisha Parks and Ke’Erra Parks, both of Greenwood; maternal grandparents, Mary Jones and Earl Sanders, both of Greenwood; and paternal grandmother, Rose Henderson of Greenwood.
The family is at the home of Mildred A. Carter, 130 S. University St.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc.

Bri-Travious Henderson
Services for Bri-Travious Kevonte’ Henderson, infant son of LaTesha N. Anderson and Brian Henderson, are 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Grove Baptist Church, Callison, conducted by the Rev. Willie Evans. Burial is in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of Mildred A. Carter, 130 S. University St.
Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc. is in charge.

Mary O. Fields
CROSS HILL — Mary Osborne Fields, 71, of 1250 Barnett Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Warren County, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ellen Nosler Osborne. She was a breeder and trainer of collies and showed collies at dog show competitions. She was a member of the Collie Club, the Arbor Day Club and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a son, Tom Fields of Cross Hill; two sisters, Rose Chapman and Patricia Baker, both of Liberty, Ind.; two brothers, Tom Osborne of Liberty, Ind., and Joe Osborne of Crawfordsville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood.
The family is at the home.

William Haynie III
William Clinton “Brother” Haynie III, 59, of 908 Old Abbeville Highway, widower of Marsha Elizabeth Price Haynie, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late William Clinton Haynie Jr. and Martha Bagwell Haynie. He was a 1961 graduate of Greenwood High School and a graduate of Greenwood College of Commerce. He formerly owned and operated Kitson Grocery and was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Haynie, Chris Haynie and Chip Haynie, all of Greenwood; a brother, Jimmy Haynie of Greenwood; and five grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Friday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Hal Lane and Robert Napier. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Joe Grover, Jeff Wash, Tim Smith, Jerry Price, Wayne Derrick, Gene Culbertson and Dennis Burroughs.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Jimmy and Peggy Haynie, 812 Old Abbeville Highway.

Preston Abrams
Preston L. Abrams, 59, of 1523 Bucklevel Road, husband of Allene Weeks Abrams, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Preston C. and Thelma Fisher Abrams. He was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and retired from Solutia, Greenwood Plant. He was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Scott Abrams of Greenwood; a stepson, Chip Bowie of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Linda Lane of Greenwood; a brother, John F. Abrams of Honea Path; five grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank Thomas. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Richard Wood, Bob Abrams, Danny Smith, Charles Woods, Chip Bowie and Danny Culbertson.
Visitation is 1-2 Saturday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.

Barbara Bannister
IVA — Barbara Hopkins Finley Bannister, 55, of Session Shores, wife of Duanne Bannister, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late John and Pauline Hopkins. She was a member of Carswell Baptist Church, Iva, and was employed by Patrick B. Harris. She was twice married, first to the late Charles E. Finley.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Michael Emmett Finley of Ware Shoals, C. Rodney Finley of Donalds and Hazen Bannister Jr. of Honea Path; a daughter, Roxanne Copeland of Anderson; two brothers, Raymond Hopkins of Hartwell, Ga., and Johnny Hopkins of Ware Shoals; a sister, Polly Hendricks of Ware Shoals; and six grandchildren.
Services are at 2 Wednesday at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals, conducted by the Rev. Hudson White. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Mark Cannon, Maxie Coleman, Tracy Hopkins, Randy Hopkins, Scott Bradberry, David Williams and Billy Snow.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Thelma Hill Davis
SPARTANBURG — Thelma “Dit” Hill Davis, 68, of 17 Lynwood Drive, wife of Bobby Davis Sr., died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in McCormick County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Sam and Marian Wright Hill. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Organization of the church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Allfredella D. Williams and Wanda Elaine Davis of Spartanburg; three sons, Bobby Davis Jr., Michael Davis and Ronald Stevie Davis, all of Spartanburg; eight sisters, Georgia H. Grant of Philadelphia, Annie H. Tolbert, Charlie Mae H. Prince and Brenda H. Browning, all of Spartanburg, Ada L. Hill, Mamie H. Moton, Catherine H. Callaham and Patricia A. Hill, all of McCormick; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. George Downs. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in Lincoln Memorial Garden.
The family is at the home and at the home of her sisters Ada and Patricia Hill, 1021 Kelley St., McCormick.

Harold R. Lowery
ANDERSON — Mr. Harold R. Lowery, age 69 of 105 Garden Gate, Anderson, SC, died Sunday, November 3, 2002 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson.
Born in Ninety Six, SC on November 28, 1932, Mr. Lowery was the son of the late James L. and Viola C. Lowery. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. Admitted to the bar, 1961, South Carolina, he also was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits; the United States district Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Claims. He was cited in the National Law Journal, 1981; a member of “Who’s Who in American Law,”; “Marquis Who’s Who in American Law,” American Trial Lawyers’ Association; South Carolina Trial Lawyer’s Association; National Criminal Defense Association, American Society of Law and Medicine; South Carolina Bar, Family Law Section; Founding member, South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Founding Master Member of Anderson Inn of Court; past attorney for the City of Williamston and a member of the Anderson County Bar Association. Mr. Lowery was a practicing attorney in Anderson for thirty-two years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and served in the Security Agency for three years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are widow, June Wells Lowery of the home; daughter, Eve L. Joy and her husband, Michael of Anderson; son, Captain James Thomas Lowery, U.S. Marine Corps and his wife, Leigh Ann, of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; five grandchildren, Harold Thomas Walker, Brandon Mitchell Joy, Ashleigh Marie Joy, William James Lowery and Coral Katelyn Lowery; brother, James A. Lowery of Saluda, SC. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at Trinity United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Frank Lybrand officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Anderson, SC.
The body is at The McDougald Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2002.
The family will be at the residence, 105 Garden Gate, Anderson.
The family suggest memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 1809 N. Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.

Edna Simpson
ABBEVILLE — Edna Purdy Simpson, widow of James Bera Simpson Sr., died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002 at Carlisle Nursing Center in Due West.
A resident of Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Henry and Cora Gable Purdy. A member of Midway Baptist Church, she was a Sunday School teacher and president of the WMU and served as church pianist for 33 years. She attended Lander College.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Caruth Loftis of Iva; two sons, Jim Simpson of Abbeville and Carroll Simpson of Greenville; a daughter, Linda Gresham of Columbia; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Harris Funeral Home. Burial is in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 1-2 today at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his son Jim Simpson, 101 Brookview.
Memorials may be made to Carlisle Nursing Center, P.O. Box 307, Due West, SC 29639 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Zella Beacham, 101
Zella Davis Beacham, 101, of 319 Old Brickyard Road, widow of Frank Cason Beacham, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edgefield County, she was a daughter of the late James and Polly Bush Davis. She was a member of Rock Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha B. Rawlings, with whom she made her home and Lillian Frances Reid of Greenwood; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services are 3 p.m. today at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Randy Sloan. Burial is in Magnolia Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Morgan, Danny Doss, Bob McCord, Tom George, Warren Mundy, Sheldon Quarles, Perry Thompson and Ray Sparrow.
Visitation is 2-3 today at the funeral home.

Denelda A. Dodgen
Denelda Ann Applegate Dodgen, 61, of 660 Grier St., died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002 at her home.
Born in Crosbyton, Texas , she was a daughter of the late O.A. and Jessie Vera Brents Applegate. She was a former manager of L’il Cricket Food Store and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Rayford O. Dodgen Jr. of Greenwood; two daughters, Ranelda Sutton and Lisa Rauton, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Judith Merritt of Greer and Kay Keeler of Bloomfield, N.M.; a brother, Gene Applegate of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are 3 p.m. Friday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Leland S. Scott. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Jeff Henderson, Greg Gentry, Chad Teague, Ken Peppers, John Hilley, Jimmy Smith, Wade Weeks, Robert Odom and Joey Wilkie.

Ophelia Waldrop Ellenburg, 84, formerly of 109 Boston Terrier Road, widow of Fred W. Ellenburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 06, 2002 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late William Clyde and Susie Brown Waldrop. She had attended Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include two sons, Fred Mack Ellenburg of Greenwood and Johnny M. Ellenburg of Ninety Six; two sisters, Syble Holcombe and Elmie Harris, both of Easley; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Ben Edwards. Burial is 2 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.
Pallbearers are Harold Minor, Frank Ellenburg, James Ellenburg, George Reid, Jerry Duncan and Ronnie Brown.
