NORTH AUGUSTA — Services for Willie Lee Wright, of Anne Maria Nursing Home, are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Parks Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Willie S. Harrison, assisted by the Rev. Raymond Adams. Burial is in Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Raymond Phillips, James Collier, Michael Williams, Michael Collins, Willie Lindsey and Exekia Price.
Flower bearers are friends of the family.
The family is at the home and at the home of his daughter, Patricia Ouzts, 634 Giles St., Greenwood.
Parks Funeral Home, Greenwood, is in charge.

Pauline H. Coleman
SALUDA — Pauline Harris Coleman, 91, of 277 Highway 702, widow of Maxie Lee Coleman Sr., died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie Richardson Harris. She was a member of the Women Home Aide Society, Mine Creek Burial Aide Society and Penn Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Terry of Saluda; two sisters, Queen Ester Williamson of Ridge Spring and Elma Broadnox of Philadelphia; two grandchildren reared in the home, Paula Davis and Robin Graham, both of Saluda; two great-grandchildren reared in the home, Carlos and Cortez Terry of Saluda; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Penn Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. E. Chandler, assisted by the Rev. W.C. Bryant. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are friends of the family.
The family is at the home.

Manceal Gunnels
Manceal Gunnels, 69, of 648 Grier St., husband of Nettie Lewis, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 at his home.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late John Wesley and Eunice Haynes Gunnels. He retired from Harvley’s Junk Yard and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home and a brother, Elford Leo Gunnels of Lincoln, Neb.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Paul Reid and Craig Hughes. Burial is in East View Cemetery, Honea Path.
Pallbearers are Ronald Carrier, James Carrier, Randy Skelton, Danny Harvley, Ralph Gunnels and J.R. Tankersley.
Honorary escorts are E.J. Harvley, Alvin Corbin and Wayne Smith.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rev. Buddy Harrison
ANDERSON — The Rev. Buddy Harrison, 63, of 603 New Prospect Church Road, husband of Bitsy Harrison, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Bertha Mae Smith Harrison and the late Wesley Harrison. He was a Navy veteran and an employee of Coca Cola of Abbeville for 16 years, before entering the ministry. He served as pastor at Mill Shoal Baptist Church, Royston, Ga., West End Baptist Church, Newberry, Salem Baptist Church, Anderson and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Laurens. Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother of Edgefield; two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Carol) Mize of Bowman, Ga., and Mrs. Ricky (Hope) Poole of Taylors; a brother, Puddin Harrison of Abbeville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Laurens, with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville.
Visitation is today at the home and 7-9 Thursday at Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or a charity of one’s choice.

ATLANTA — Dorothy Hughey, 48, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
The family is at the home of Mamie London, 109 Virginia Drive, Abbeville, S.C.
Services will be announced by Abbeville and White Mortuary.

Shirley Jean Kelley, 61, of 107 Ware St., wife of Clare Kelley, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center. Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home.

Virginia Riddle
Virginia Fisher Riddle, 77, of 1910 McCormick Highway, widow of Thomas L. Riddle, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at National Health Care of Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home.

Embre L. Scurry
EDGEFIELD — Embre Lee “Snook” Scurry, 70, of 62 Crest Road, husband of Earline A. Scurry, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002 at University Hospital.
A native of Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Yancey and Annie Mae Scurry. He was a retired textile worker and a volunteer “grandparent” at Strom Thurmond High School. A member of Pleasant Lane Baptist Church, he was a deacon and the senior choir leader.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Audrey Regina Wilson and Gail V. Scurry; two sons, Embre Bernard Scurry and Ricky Scurry; four sisters, Hattie Ervin, Allean Miles, Inez McCain and Essie Speaks; three grandchildren.
Services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Sloan Gordan. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary.

Carl Spivey
GREENWOOD — Carl Lewis Spivey, 73, resident of 439 Dogwood Drive, husband of Nira McDowell Spivey, died Nov. 18, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood County, Nov. 16, 1929, he was a son of the late Floyd L. and Marie Little Spivey. He was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Spivey was a long time employee of Abney Mills and retired from Greenwood Mills - Durst Plant.
A member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Marine Corps League Emerald City Leathernecks.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two daughters, Mrs. Stan (Jean) Hamrick of Greenville and Mrs. Frank (Susan) Kuchta of Columbia; two sons, Stan Spivey of Greenwood and Scott Spivey of Simpsonville; two brothers, James “Bubba” Spivey and Billy Ray Spivey, both of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Stephanie and Bryan Spivey of Myrtle Beach, Jamie Lynne Spivey of Due West, Jason and Julie Hamrick of Greenville, Joseph Kuchta of Columbia and Page and Will Spivey of Simpsonville.
Funeral services will be conducted 3PM Wednesday at Abney Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Owens and Rev. Wayne Wiggins officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gar-dens.
Pallbearers will be Danny Spivey, Mike McDowell, Keith McDowell, Mark McDowell, Jeff Scott, Richard Davenport, Perry Davenport, Mike Thig-pen and Perry Williamson.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 2PM Wednesday.
The family is at the home on Dogwood Drive.

Boyd Strickland
NINETY SIX — Samuel Boyd Strickland, 88, of 311 Norwood Avenue, widower of Helen Faulkner Strickland, died Monday, November 18, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Athens, GA, he was a son of the late James and Bessie Strickland Strickland. He retired in 1976 from Greenwood Mills Plant #7 after 50 years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was one of the founders of Whitehall Church of God and was a charter member of Ninety Six Church of God, where he taught the Men’s Bible Class and the Youth Group.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Wesson of Clinton and Miss Mattie Lou Strickland of the home; two sons, Reginald Strickland of McCormick and James M. Strickland of Fountain Inn; two sisters-in-law, Sybil Strickland of Greenwood and Mrs. Hubert (Annie Ruth) Minor of Hodges; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Milton Stubblefield and the Rev. Dan Batson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tim Wesson, Paul Minor, Russell Strickland, Joshua Strickland, Gerald Price and Doyle Anderson.
Honorary escort will be the men of Ninety Six Church of God and the special loving family of Doyle and Louise Anderson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Eula P. Godwin
INDIANA, Pa. —Eula Margaret Parsons Godwin, 77, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Scenery Hill Manor.
Born in Todd, N.C., she was a daughter of Coy McKinley and Ennis Dollar Parsons. She lived in Lenoir, N.C., until 1989, when she moved to McCormick, S.C. She moved to Indiana, Pa., in July. She was active with College Avenue Baptist Church, Lenoir, and McCormick First Baptist Church, McCormick. She was also a volunteer at John de la Howe School, McCormick, and a member of the Chatterbox Club, Augusta, Ga.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Ann Godwin of Penn Run, and a son, Charles Timothy Godwin of Chester, Va.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Setzer’s Creek, N.C.
Visitation is 7-8:30 Friday at Greer McElveen Funeral Home in Lenoir.
Memorials may be made to Family Hospice of Indiana County, 1265 Wayne Ave., Indiana, PA 15701.

Shirley Jean Kelley Kelley, 61, of 107 Ware St., wife of Clare Allen Kelley, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Dunnellon, Fla., she was a daughter of Doris Lucious Kelley and the late Robert Juan Kelley. She was a school bus driver for Greenwood School District 50 and a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother of Palm Bay, Fla.; a daughter, Kathleen Kay Sherman of Greenwood; two sons, Scott Allen Kelley and Paul Harvey Kelley, both of Greenwood; two brothers, Tom Kelley and Stanley Kelley, both of Melbourne, Fla.; four sisters, Dorothy Holly of Melbourne, Betty Binning of Charlotte, Mich., Delores Newton of Las Vegas and Tracey Sellers of Palm Bay; seven grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at West Side Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Steve Crittendon. The body will be placed in the church at 10. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Stan Kelley, Tom Kelley, Tommy Hasting, Tom Binning, Lester Turner and Perry Washington .
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

John P. Ledford
John Pershing Ledford, 79, of 112 Dublin Road, husband of Charlene Tittle Ledford, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Carter County, Tenn., he was a son of Ethel Briggs Phillips and the late William H. Ledford. He retired from Piedmont Technical College as an engineering graphics instructor and was a World War II Navy veteran, with citation. He was a member of White Oak Methodist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother of Chattanooga; a son, Terry Ledford of Greenwood; a daughter, Susan L. Leopard of Bradley; two sisters, Dorothy Harvey of Chattanooga and Mary Evelyn Highsmith of Spartanburg; a brother, Marshall Ledford of Chattanooga and four grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Steven Crittendon.
Honorary escorts are members of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Harley Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of his son, Terry Ledford, 225 Kingston Road, Wellington Green.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Leroy Lindsey Sr. and Willie Lee Lindsey. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Lindsey of Greenwood and Johnny Lindsey of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Lindsey of Plainfield, N.J., and Maybelle Works of McCormick.

Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home.
