ABBEVILLE — Sammie Paul, 83, of 63 Woodview Apts., died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at his home.
He was a son of the late Jule Paul and Martha Hunter. He was a retired farmer and a member of Shady Grove A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sammie Ruth Minney of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Ida Bell Jackson of Abbeville and three grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Abbeville & White Mortuary conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Johnson. Burial is in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family is at the home of a niece, Georgia M. Finley, 100 Latimer Drive.
Abbeville & White Mortuary is in charge.

Dan Campbell
Daniel Paul Campbell, 55, of 105 Kaye Drive, widower of Janet Kaye Henderson Campbell, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at his home.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Odie O. Campbell and Grace McNeil Campbell Curreton.
He was a retired insurance agent, a Hejaz Temple Shriner and a member of Joppa Lodge No. 387 A.F.M. and Lowell Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul Derrick Campbell of the home; three sisters, Dorothy M. Johnson of Greenwood, Edna C. Bollinger of Travelers Rest and Barbara C. Hunt of Verdery; and a brother, John C. Campbell of Greenville.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Bob Allen. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Jeffery Matthews, Jerry Eidson, Anthony B. Hunt, Anthony B. Hunt Jr., Adam Ryan Hunt, John Mark Hunt, Stanley Newton and Joe Black.
Honorary escorts are members of Joppa Lodge No. 387 A.F.M.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of a niece, Lynda Black, Highway 246 South, Ninety Six.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Flodrie Jones
HODGES — Flodrie Jones, widow of Pelton Jones, of 6407 Highway 25 N., died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia.
The body is being returned to South Carolina.
Services will be announced by Robinson-Walker Funeral Service, Ware Shoals.

Willie Lee Jones Sr.
EDGEFIELD — Willie Lee Jones Sr., 85, of 1201 Modoc Road, husband of Jessie Walton Jones, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Sam and Ella Jones. He was a retired logger with Charlie Nicholson Logging Co. and a member of Pleasant Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Willie H. (Ella Lee) Key and Jessie Mae Mack, both of Johnston, Mrs. Eddie (Rebecca) Moss of McCormick, Mrs. Curtis (Olethia) Culbreath of Greenwood, Mary Emma Mack and Gwendolyn Morgan, both of Edgefield; six sons, Butler Jones of Johnston, Willie Jones Jr., Willie Thomas Jones, Ronnie J. Jones, Virgil Jones and Henry Lee Jones, all of Edgefield; 47 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc., Greenwood.

Erma Lee Ort
HOPKINS — Erma Lee Ort, 79, widow of Edward Ort, died Monday, March 17, 2003.
Born in Charleston, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Mary Short Johnson.
Survivors include a daughter, Rose Ann McKee of Greenwood; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Charles Park
Charles Andrew Park, 69, of 131 Carmel Circle, Wesley Commons, husband of Beverly Johnson Park, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late John A. and Inez Faircloth Park. He graduated from Greenville High School and received a bachelor of arts degree from Furman University and a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. He retired from Lander University as a professor of business and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Karen T. Park of Boyton Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Inez P. Morgan of Atlanta.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. today in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Revs. Jim Johnston and Carol Peppers-Wray.
Visitation is 1:30-2:30 today at Blyth Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.

Cheryl Lynn Quarles
Cheryl Lynn “Top Cat” Coats Quarles, 40, of 201 Mineral Court, wife of Willie Quarles, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the home of her sister Donna Coats, 323 Ashcroft Drive.
Born in McCormick County, she was a daughter of Eddie Lee Williams Coats and the late Bennie C. Coats Sr. She attended Greenwood public schools and was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Gospel Chorus and Usher Board.
Survivors include her husband of Greenwood; her mother of Greenwood; two daughters, Crystal “Tasha” Coats and Mrs. Ricardo (Lucinda Shay) Calhoun, both of Greenwood; a brother, Bennie C. “Hawk Man” Coats Jr. of Greenwood; three sisters, Deborah Gilliam, Donna M. Coats and Mrs. James (Stephanie) Kelley, all of Greenwood; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Thomas of Greenwood; three grandchildren, one of the home, Destiny Harris.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc.

Boyce W. Wiles Sr.
ORANGEBURG — Boyce W. Wiles Sr., 87, of 1180 Wolfe Trail, husband of Helen R. Wiles, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Lucius and Leila Rickenbaker Wiles. He retired from Flavor Rich and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, the Rev. Buddy Wiles of Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Brenda) Addison of North; a nephew reared in the home, Thomas “Petey” Walker of Carolina Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Kemmerlin of North Charleston and Mrs. Joe Wimberly of Reevesville; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Buddy Wiles and Martin Wiles. Burial is in Bowman Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Lewis Addison, Jeffrey Wiles, Wesley Wiles, James Bacot, Julian Etheridge, James Michael Phillips and Matthew Brandon Phillips.
Visitation is 6:30-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Bertie L. Yeargin
Bertie Lowe Yeargin, 92, wife of Bruce L. Yeargin, of 2606 Edgefield St., died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Hall County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Julia Edwards Lowe.
She retired from Greenwood Mills Mathews Plant and was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a past secretary of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Earl Lowe Yeargin of Simpsonville, Wendell O’Neil Yeargin and Dewey Leroy Yeargin of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Charlene) Pacheco of Greensboro and Mrs. James H. (Sue) Thompson of Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. J.C. (Alice) Pruitt of Honea Path; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Leland S. Scott and Tommy L. Lowe. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are James H. Thompson III, Daniel R. Yeargin, Bryan Yeargin, M. Chase Pitts, Thomas A. Yeargin, Greg Fant, Ken L. Stahl, M. Keith Pitts, Charles “Chuck” Taylor Jr. and Steve M. Lyle.

ABBEVILLE — Edna Bell Bradberry Blum, 90, of 318 Mill St., died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at her home.
Born in Macon County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late William and Mollie Parham Bradberry. She was a retired textile employee of Abbeville Mills and a member of Abbeville Community Ceramics Shop and Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean B. Diehl of Anderson; two sons, Robert T. Blum of Spokane, Wash., and Franklin E. Blum of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Elizabeth Mullikin of Williamston; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Darren Hook.
Visitation is after the services at Grace United Methodist Church social hall.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Bus Fund, 100 E. Greenwood St., Abbeville, SC 29620 or a charity of one’s choice.

Ruth Bone
ORLANDO, Fla. — Ruth Breedin Bone, 83, of 4358 Tidewater Drive, wife of Marshall B. Bone Sr., retired Air Force colonel, died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at her home.
Born in Anderson, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Dr. Claude S. and Mamie Martin Breedin. She was a graduate of Anderson Girl’s High School and Anderson Junior College and an honor graduate of Furman University. A former teacher at Lowndesville High School and the American Dependents School in Japan, she retired as a real estate broker with Bone Real Estate in Orlando. She was a member of Lake Conway United Methodist Church, Orlando.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Claudia Bone-Kersey of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, Marshall B. Bone Jr. of Deland, Fla.; a granddaughter, four step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. John Livingston.
The family is at the home of a sister-in-law, Montie B. Reese, 118 Sherwood Lane in Kimbrook, Greenwood.

Gladys K. Voiselle Day, 79, of 121 Bryant Drive, wife of Clyde S. Day, died Friday, March 21, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude Maddox Voiselle. She worked for Panola Mill and Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, retiring from the Adams Plant. She was a member of South Greenwood Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Bobby Voiselle of Greenwood; four sisters, Marion Ivey, Louise Kelley, Annette Voiselle and Jannette Voiselle, all of Greenwood; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James Young. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Mike Day, Gene Day, David Day, Frederick Day, Randy Day, Jerry Day and Fred Smith.
