CENTERVILLE, Ala. — Timothy “Timmie” Wrenn, 49, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003.
Born in Greenwood, S.C., he was a son of the late Charlie C. and Marie Harbin Wrenn.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn of Belton, S.C., a sister, Shirley Wrenn Hudgens of Greenwood and a grandchild.
Services were Sunday in Centerville.

Carroll Buzhardt
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. —John Carroll Buzhardt, retired Air Force master sergeant, 67, of 134 Quail Run, husband of Dolores Wise Buzhardt, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 at a local hospital.
Born in Greenwood, S.C., he was a son of the late John Chalmers and Ruby Dilleshaw Buzhardt. He was a 20-year veteran of the Air Force, where he was awarded two Commendation Medals, and he retired from civil service after 15 years as an electronic specialist at Robins Air Force Base. A member of Middle Georgia Genealogical Society, Edgefield District, Ninety Six District of the S.C. Genealogical Society and the AARP, he was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Tyrian Masonic Lodge No. 111 and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his children, Hans R. Buzhardt, John Christopher Buzhardt, Kurt A. Buzhardt, Mary Joan Marshall and Clyde Summer Jester, all of Warner Robins and Thomas E. Jester of Stuttgart, Germany; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Hal Lane. Burial with full military rites is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Blyth Funeral Home is in charge.

Tyrone P. Franklin
SALUDA — Services for Tyrone Powell Franklin, of 405 Travis Ave., are 2:30 Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church, McCormick, conducted by the Rev. Robert Haskell, pastor. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are members of McCormick High School Class of 1971.
The family is at the home of a sister, Malinda F. Jennings, 212 Happy Hollow Road, McCormick.
Walker Funeral Home, McCormick, is in charge.

Desiree L. Lanier
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Desiree Lafaye Lanier, 21, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at Jacksonville Shands Hospital.
Born in Greenwood, S.C., she moved to Jacksonville at an early age. She graduated from Sandalwood High School in 2000. A student at the University of North Florida, a bachelor of science degree was granted posthumously on Dec. 12.
Survivors include her parents, Joyce Ann Whigham Lanier and Jeffery Lanier of Jacksonville; a sister, Joytonia Morris of Jacksonville; a brother, Jeffery Lanier Jr. Jacksonville; maternal grandfather, Isaac Whigham Sr. of Jacksonville; and paternal grandfather, Herbert Lanier of Kirskey, S.C.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ, 2591 West Beaver St., conducted by Evangelist C.B. Kinsey, pastor and Elder Gabriel Hall, pastor of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ. Burial is in Beaches Memorial Park, Atlantic Beach.
A.B. Coleman Mortuary is in charge.

Paul S. LeRoy
McCORMICK — Paul S. LeRoy, 71, of 213 Lee Circle, husband of Barbara A. LeRoy, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Services will be announced by Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville.

Franky McCurry
ABBEVILLE, SC — Franklin “Franky” Tank McCurry, 54, resident of 100 Hamby Court, husband of Judy Long McCurry died Thursday Dec. 18, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Abbeville Co., SC he was a son of Syble Vaughn McCurry and the late Grady C. McCurry.
He was a retired fork lift operator with the Harris Plant in Greenwood, SC. He was a mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge #3 AFM where he served as a past Worshipful Master of the lodge. He was a member of the Frances Eugene Harrison Chapter of The Eastern Star where he also served as Past Worthy Patron. He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church.
Survivors are his wife, Judy Long McCurry of the home; one daughter Jessica L. and son-in-law David M. Fletcher of the home. Also surviving are three brothers, Joe McCurry and sister-in-law Connie; Bill McCurry and sister-in-law Anita; G.C. McCurry and sister-in-law Crystal all of Abbeville, SC; and his mother, Syble Vaughn McCurry of Abbeville.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Dec. 20, 2003 at 2:00 PM from Crossroads Fellowship Church with the Rev. James W. Welch officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery, Abbeville, SC with Masonic Rites.
The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, SC where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening. The family is at the home of his mother Mrs. Syble McCurry 601 N. Main St. Abbeville, SC.
Memorials may be made to Crossroads Fellowship Church, 7832 Hwy. 20 Honea Path, SC 29654.

HODGES — Services for Tom Floyd Robinson, of 5832 Highway 25 N., are at noon Saturday at Good Hope Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Haltiwanger, assisted by the Revs. Linda Posley, Willie S. Harrison and Willie Joe Frazier. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Adell Anderson, Steve Anderson Jr., James S. Morgan Jr., Gene Robinson, Reginald Talbert and Sherman Talbert.
Flower bearers are Cindy A. Adams, Linda K. Black, Brenda A. Hughes, Bessie G. Martin, Geraldine H. Morgan, Shirley M. Parks, Eva A. Talbert and Ruthie H. Talbert.
Visitation is at the home.
An additional survivor is a sister, Rachel Parks of New York.

David R. Thompson
MONROE, N.C. — David Russell Thompson, 37, husband of Kimberly Boswell Thompson, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 in Hartsville, S.C., from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas , he was an Army veteran and a supervisor with Nan Ya Plastics Corp., Lake City, S.C.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Barry and Carole Thompson of Monroe; a sister, Dana Thompson of Stallings; paternal grandmother, Delores Blanchard of Turner, Maine; maternal grandmother, Gladys Thompson Sams of Greenwood, S.C.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Gordon Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial is in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Brady Watson
TROY — Brady Edison Watson, 88, of 404 Long St., husband of Nona Dill Watson, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at Edgefield Health Care Center.
Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late Charles Edison and Lena Mae King Watson. He retired from T.E. Jones & Sons Furniture Store and was a member and deacon of Troy Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of McCormick Health Care Center; a daughter, Loretta Hudson of Troy; a son, Ronald Watson of Troy; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Troy Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Henry Gambrell. Burial is in Troy Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brady Hudson, Timothy Owens, Michael Culbertson, Pat Callahan, Billy Watson and Jasper Rush.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Loretta Hudson, 2540 Puckett Town Road, Troy.

Wayne Cothran
HOBOKEN, Ga. — Wayne Marshall Cothran, 53, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born in Greenwood County, S.C., he was a son of the late Joe Earl and Mabel Pearl Giles Cothran. He was an Army veteran and retired from The Tree of Life health food distributor in St. Augustine, Fla. He was a member of The American Legion Post No. 37 and the VFW Post No. 04382, both of St. Augustine. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two sisters, Earlene Crews of Hoboken, and Carolyn Hiott of St. Augustine.
Services are at 2 today at Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Sandra King. Burial with military rites is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 1-2 today at the funeral home.

Sarah Fleeman
Sarah Lue Vaughn Fleeman, 84, formerly of 215 Kaye Drive and 1301 Old Abbeville Highway, widow of Henry Sanford Fleeman, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Royston, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Lindsay T. and Mary Haynie Vaughn. She was a self employed seamstress and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Smith of Greenwood and Delane Camp of Spartanburg; a son, Jerry Fleeman of Honea Path; four sisters, Mary Nell Rousey of Bowman, Ga., Ruth Fleming, Katie Cromer and Florence Chastain, all of Royston, Ga., a brother, Daryl Vaughn of Royston, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 3 Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. David Cobb and James Bannister. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are grandsons.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 2054 Highway 72 East, Abbeville, S.C., 29620.

Robert L. Lagroon
TROY — Robert L. Lagroon of 5202 Callison Highway, Troy, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at his home.
He was a son of the late Claude and Ella Harrison Lagroon.
Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home.

Lt. Col. Paul S. LeRoy
McCORMICK – Lt. Col. Paul S. LeRoy, US Army Ret. 71, of 213 Leroy Circle husband of Barbara A. LeRoy died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the University Hospital in Augusta, GA. He was born January 17, 1932 in Adrian, MO to the late Robert W. and Hamie Hartley LeRoy.
Mr. LeRoy was a 1954 graduate of Clemson University and a retired United States ArmyPilot serving 2 tours in Vietnam. Not only was he a devoted family man, he was dedicated to his community serving in many different capacities, he served on the Board of Trustees at John de la Howe School, he was active in the American Legion, VFW, American Forestry Association, Historical Society for McCormick County, and the Lakeland Bee Keepers Asso-ciation.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela LeRoy. Surviving Mr. LeRoy is his wife of 50 years, Barbara A. LeRoy of the home, a daughter, Sherry Palmese and her husband Eddie of Augusta, GA, a son, Steve LeRoy and his wife Debbie of Chesa-peake, VA, a brother, John L. LeRoy of Calhoun Falls, SC, and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Sunday, December 21, 2003 at the John de la Howe Chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow in the LeRoy family cemetery.

Rebecca C. Willard
LAURENS — Rebecca Crisp Willard, 80, of 202 Douglas St., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at her home.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Spencer Ney and Ella Boyd Crisp. She was a retired employee of D.S.S. and was a part-time employee of the Laurens County Advertiser. She was a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church and P.A.W.S.
Survivors include two daughters, Juanita W. Compton of Laurens and Joan W. Crowder of Waterloo; a son, John B. Willard of New Bern, N.C.; a sister, Mary C. Kelly of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 2 Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Tom Malone.
Visitation will follow the service.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged, P.O. Box 638, Laurens, S.C., 29360 or a charity of one’s choice.
