EVANS, Ga. — Tom E. Williams, 44, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at his home.
Born in Bulloch County, he was a member of Harville Baptist Church. He was employed with Bridgestone/Firestone S.C. and was formerly employed by Michelin Tire Co. and Fuji Photo Film. He was preceded in death by his father, Silas E. Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Esther J. Williams of Evans, Ga.; a son, Steven T. Williams of Groton, Conn.; two step-sons, Dean Williams and Dale Williams, both of Swansea, S.C.; his mother, Bonnie Partin Williams of Brooklet; three brothers, Dean Williams of Brooklet, Dale Williams of Trenton, S.C. and David Williams of Brooklet; and three grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home, conducted by the Elder Lavonne Anderson and the Rev. Joe Eason.
Burial is in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Bill Vaughn, John Stewart, Steve Sucher, Mike Rose, Willie Larkin and Barry Buzhardt.
Visitation is 6-9 tonight at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd., Augusta, Ga. 30904-4726.

Michael O. Anderson
MITCHELLVILLE, Md. — Michael Oscar Anderson, 45, of 11205 Chantilly Lane, died Friday, March 5, 2004 at his home.
Born in Mitchellville, he was a son of Oscar and Miriam Anderson. He attended Bowie State University and the University of Maryland at College Park. He retired from civil service with the federal government and as a computer specialist from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He attended Turner Memorial A.M.E. Church in Hyattsville.
Survivors include his parents of the home.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weston Chapel A.M.E. Church, Greenwood, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Willie Neal Norman Jr., pastor. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Johnny Earl Anderson, Ralph Adams, Ray Adams, Robert Lee Adams and friends.
Flower bearers are relatives and friends.
Visitation is 6-7:30 tonight at Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc., Greenwood.
The family is at the home of an aunt, Ruby Adams, 1038 Phoenix St., Greenwood.
Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc. is in charge.

James W. Culbertson
WARE SHOALS — James Wyatt Culbertson, 85, of 7678 Indian Mound Road, widower of Lois Bradshaw Culbertson, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at his home.
A native of Laurens County, he was a son of the late John Henry and Mattie Sue Wells Culbertson. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and retired from Blackmon Construction Co. A World War II Army veteran, he served in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Sue C.) Tinney of Waterloo and Judy Mattison of Clinton; a son, William Culbertson of Ware Shoals; six grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. David Stewart and Gerald Crawford. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in the church Cemetery, with military and Masonic rites.
Pallbearers are Billy Cooper, Paul Cunningham, Curtis Traynham, Gene Emerson, Russell Tollison, Phillip Ray Madden, Barry Bishop, Gary Bishop, Johnny Madden, John Bolt and Stephen Bolt.
Honorary escorts are members of the Men’s Sunday School Class.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Parker-White Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Sue Tinney, 7752 Indian Mound Road.

Sandra S. Enos
NINETY SIX – Sandra Phyllis Smith Enos, 65, of 415 North Church Street, Ninety Six, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at her home.
Born in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Pauline Bryant Smith. She was a graduate of Ninety Six High School and had been employed with the Pennsylvania Lottery System. She was a former member of Duke Street Baptist Church in Ninety Six.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Jo Proctor D’Ambra and a son-in-law, Peter Mattei. Surviving are two daughters, Renee Mattei of Ninety Six and Nicole Gail and her husband, Mike, of Greenwood; two sons, Brooks Proctor of Greenwood and Tony Enos and his wife, Maria, of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Melissa D’Ambra, reared in the home, of Philadelphia, PA, Christina and Marlene Mattei of Ninety Six, Tyler andLaci Proctor of Gaston, Nicholas and Dante Enos of New Jersey; four sisters, Ernestine Latham and Shirley Lowe of Greenwood, Dorcas Long of Cayce and Charlene Burden of Ninety Six; an aunt, Louise Hunter of Greenwood and life-long friends, Kathryn and Sterling Jones of Ninety Six.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steven Crittendon officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary escort will be nieces.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The family is at the home.

Reuchlene Partlow
McCORMICK — Reuchlene Harmon Partlow, 66, died Sunday, March 7, 2004 in McCormick after a sudden illness.
Born in McCormick County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Quarles and Marian Harmon. She was a member of the Straight Gate Holiness Church and Bethany Chapter No. 1 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three sons, Curtis Partlow and Chris Partlow, both of the home, Lawrance Partlow of Greenwood; a cousin reared in the home, Daisy Ruth Middleton of Troy; a half brother, Archie Dowtin of Bradley; three grandchildren.
The family is at the home of her cousin, Daisy Ruth Middleton, Route 1, Highway 10, Troy.
Services will be announced by Walker Funeral Home.

ABBEVILLE — Services for Daisey Jones Bailey are 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Clement C.M.E. Church, conducted by the Rev. Ida M. Shipman. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Viewing is 11:30-9 today and 9-1 Sunday at Abbeville & White Mortuary.
The family is at the home, 60 Edwards Road and the home of a sister, Tommie M. Brownlee, 203 McGowan Ave.

Helen Evans Butler
PHILADELPHIA — Helen Evans Butler, 92, of St. Ignatius Nursing Home, widow of Lee T. Butler, died Friday, March 5, 2004 in Philadelphia.
Born in Greenwood County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late George Evans Sr. and Carrie Ligon Evans.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Vine Memorial Baptist Church. Burial is in Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood.

BELTON — Doris Catherine Hayden “Brock” Gregory, 70, of 103 N. Holmes St., widow of the late Charles Lamar Gregory Sr. and the late Truman Brock, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Cox Funeral Home.
Services will be announced by Cox Funeral Home.

Charles McGrier, 62, of G-7 Pineridge Apartments, husband of Carolyn McGrier, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Capers and Azora Lipford McGrier. His stepmother, the late Ethel McGrier, reared him. He attended Greenwood public schools.
Survivors include his wife of Washington , D.C.; two sons, Charles McGrier Jr. of Washington , Keith Bennett of Tennessee; two daughters, Charlcenna Walton of Washington , D.C., Antionette Bennett of Tennessee; five brothers, Capers McGrier, Robert McGrier, both of Ware Shoals, Odell McGrier of Hodges, Billy McGrier of Queens, N.Y., Leroy McGrier of Arizona; a stepbrother, L.C. Rice of Greenville; 11 sisters, Ellen Davis, June Hall, Daisy Irby, Katie Horne, Brenda Shehid, all of Washington , D.C., Mary Ann Ammonitt of Hilton Head, Juanita Rice, Ophelia McGrier, Lorene McKee, all of Hodges, Ernestine Smith of Donalds, Lillian Lee of Greenwood; several grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia C.M.E. Church, Hodges, conducted by the Rev. Rufus East, assisted by Rev. Matthew Thomas. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are nephews and cousins.
Flower bearers are nieces and cousins.
Visitation is at the home of a sister, Juanita Rice, 111 Lewis Lane, Hodges.

WARE SHOALS — Robert “Rob” Pitt Sr., 89, widower of Opal Griffith Pitt, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Oscar and Lois Seawright Pitt. He retired from Riegel Textile Corp. and was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and Ware Shoals Masonic Lodge No. 306.
Survivors include a son, Robert S. “Bobby” Pitt Jr. of Laurens; a daughter, Millie P. Thomas of Fountain Inn; a brother, Charlie Pitt of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Revs. Leon Jones and Dan Compton.
Visitation is 12:30-1:30 Sunday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
Family members are at their respective homes.

H.E. ‘Fidge’ Pitts
WARE SHOALS — Herbert Eugene “Fidge” Pitts, 83, of 33 E. Main St., died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Magnolia Manor in Spartanburg.
A native of Laurens County, he was a son of the late Dunklin and Agnes Wood Pitts. He worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include Elsie M. Pitts, his former wife; a daughter, Terrie Smith of Spartanburg; a son, Christopher R. Pitts of Ware Shoals; a stepson, Tony McLennan of Spartanburg; two brothers, Thelton Pitts, Richard Pitts, both of Spartanburg; a sister, Joyce Maccione of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Ware Shoals Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop.
Pallbearers are Jody Pitts, Michael McLennan, John McLennan, Ken McAlister, Charlie Wood and Mike Pitts.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Parker-White Funeral Home.
Family members are at their respective homes.

Uhland Richardson
SALUDA — Uhland Bunnie Richardson, 56, of 1487 Bonham Road, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004.
Born in Saluda County, he was a son of Willie Wiley Richardson and the late Margaret Abney Richardson. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a 1967 graduate of Riverside High School. He retired as a mechanic from Hopke Trucking, Washington , D.C., and was working with the town of Saluda, removing scrape metal.
Survivors include his wife, Judie Collins Richardson of Washington , D.C.; his father of Saluda; a brother, Wiley Richardson of Upper Marlboro, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Malcolm (Willie Mae) Caldwell of Greenwood, Mrs. Willie (Johnnie Mae) Logan of Edgefield; Mrs. Edward (Leora) Brent of Saluda and Sandra Childs of Ninety Six.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Kenner, pastor. Assisting are the Revs. James Price and Joseph Caldwell.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are family and friends.
The family is at the home of his father, 1172 Bonham Road.
Butler and Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
