Jane Tidwell
GREENWOOD – Jane Elizabeth Inglis Tidwell, 87, resident of 503 Trakas Avenue, died June 8, 2004 at her home.
Born in Washington , NC, August 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William James, Sr. and Eva Caswell Inglis. She was a retired seamstress and caregiver. Mrs. Tidwell was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood.
Surviving are two sons, John Forrest Tidwell of Greenwood and Roland L. Tidwell and his wife Carolyn of Clinton. A daughter, Eva Leone Tidwell of Greenwood. One grandson, Scott Tidwell of Clinton., She is also survived by loving and devoted caregivers, Frankie Taylor, Cindy Morgan and Willie Mae Caldwell.
Mrs. Tidwell was predeceased by a son, William James Tidwell and two brothers, James E. Inglis and William J. Inglis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Friday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Livingston officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jim Braswell, Joe Foster, Jimmy Cagle, Wayne Hughes, Herb Holloman and John King.
The family is at the home on Trakas Ave. and will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 til 3 Friday afternoon.

Carroll Wilson
ABBEVILLE, SC – James Carroll Wilson, 75, resident of 1443 Hwy. 28, North, husband of Laurita Hall Wilson, died June 8, 2004 at The Hospice House in Anderson, SC.
Born in Abbeville Co., SC, he was a son of the late John Rosemond and Lucille Ware Wilson.
Carroll was a retired supervisor with Milliken Textiles Abbeville Plant and the City of Abbeville. He was a Mason and member of the Antreville Dew Drop Lodge. He was also a shriner and a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Abbeville Shrine Club. He was an active member of Little Mountain Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors are: his wife, Laurita Hall Wilson of the home; one daughter, Janice Wilson Boyles, Abbeville, SC; one grandson, Tyler Wilson Boyles, Abbeville; two sisters, Mary Saylors, Abbeville, SC; Ann Hammond, Anderson, SC; one brother, Thomas Rosemond Wilson, Ft. Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Boyce Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2PM Friday, June 11, 2004 at Little Mountain Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Parks officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Thursday evening. The family is at the home, 1443 Hwy. 28 North, Abbeville, SC.
Memorials may be made to Little MountainPresbyterian Church, 3836 Hwy. 28, Abbeville, SC 29620 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

Donna Y. Davis
NINETY SIX — Donna Yvonne Davis, 48, of 122 Hollingsworth Road, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at her home.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of Wofford Dorn Davis and the late James O. Davis. She lived most of her life in Lexington and Saluda, was a caregiver to her mother and attended Good Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother of the home and two brothers, James Dennis Davis of West Columbia and Fredrick Z. Davis of Charleston.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. today at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Steve Justice.
The family is at the home of her aunt, Arzelle Trotter, 312 Greenwood Highway, Saluda.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Rev. Ed Hollingsworth
EASLEY — The Rev. Broadus Edward Hollingsworth, 50, of 2232 Powdersville Road, husband of Kathy Holsonback Hollingsworth, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at his home.
Born in Union, he was a son of Mary Sue Inman Wynn and the late Broudes Hollingsworth. He was the pastor of Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Matthew Ryan Hollingsworth of the home; three sisters, Phyllis H. Lyerly, Edna H. Cantrell and Bonnie Hollingsworth, all of Greenwood; his mother and stepfather, Talmadge Wynn of Greenwood.
Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God. Visitation is at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Matthew Ryan Hollingsworth Fund, c/o Peoples National Bank-Powdersville Branch, P.O. Box 1989, Easley, SC 29641.

Thomas D. Jordan
PELZER — Thomas D. Jordan, 78, of 220 McKelvey Road, husband of Weldon Mitchell Jordan, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Lewie and Bertie Page Jordan. He retired from Fluor-Daniel, attended North Greenville College and Carson Newman College and served in the Army during the Korean conflict. A member of Daventon Baptist Church, he served as a deacon, teacher, Training Union director, director of Sunday School and church treasurer.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Jennie J.) Dempsey of Simpsonville; two grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Daventon Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Tommy Lowe and Robert Simms. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Fred Mattison Jr., Danny McIntyre, Gerald Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, Franklin Mitchell, Will Bailey, Billy Swartzel, William Pritchett, Austin Childress and Justin Kellett.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals.
The family is at the home.

Flossie Robinson
WARE SHOALS — Flossie Marie Robinson, 41, of 14 Briar St., died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
The family is at the home of a sister, Ethel McGrier, 310 Dunn Creek Road, Donalds.
Services will be announced by Robinson-Walker Funeral Service.

Ethel Webb
WATERLOO — Ethel Harvley Weeks Webb, 81, of 436 Sulpher Springs Road, wife of Joseph Harold Webb, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Magnolia Manor.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Berry and Pearl Wells Harvley. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Bethlehem Union Church. She was twice married, first to the late Robert Weeks.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Jean Butler of Ninety Six; two sisters, Rebecca Hinton and Virginia Swindler, both of Greenwood; two brothers, Furman Harvley of Florida and J.B. Harvley of Alabama; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Union Church, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Davis. The body will be placed in the church at 10. Burial is in the adjoining church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robert Butler, Jason Styron, Timothy Styron, Billy Barrett, Wayne Bagwell, Richard Anderson and Marvin Stennett.
Honorary escorts are members of the Adult Sunday School Class and Helping Hands of the church, along with A.C. Pilgrim.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Harley Funeral Home.
Family members are at their respective homes.

Drue Etta Allen
Drue Etta Allen, 43, of 332 Windmill Circle, wife of William “Billy” Allen, died Thursday, June 10, 2004.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Jean Robinson. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Jessica Klawinsky of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Shannon Marie Allen of Lexington; a sister, Patricia Worley of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother, Joe Robinson of Honolulu, Hawaii; a grandson.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Randy Ouzts. Burial is in Edgewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mike Snelling, Ty Snelling, Casper Snelling, Jason Collins, Quincy Hollingsworth and Andy Allen.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her mother-in-law, Emma Allen, 108 Glencrest Court, The Willows.

Cy Bishop
NINETY SIX – James Eugene “Cy” Bishop, 90, resident of 89 Draper Street, husband of Emma Lee Turner Bishop, died Friday, June 11, 2004 at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, October 29, 1913, he was a son of the late Joseph Eugene and Leslie Foreman Bishop. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II and a graduate of Lee University, Cleveland, TN. Mr. Bishop was retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant.
A member of Ninety Six Church of God and the Men’s Bible Class of the church, he was also a Sunday School teacher, Lay speaker and was a Trustee and former deacon of the church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two sons, Ronald and wife Margie Bishop of Ninety Six and Aaron and wife Brenda Bishop of Greenwood; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3PM Sunday at the Ninety Six Church of God with Rev. Wilson Scruggs, Rev. Roy Burroughs and Rev. Bobby Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Bishop, Keith Bishop, Brad Bishop, Brant Bishop, Brooks Bishop and Leonard Turner.
Honorary escort will be the men of Ninety Six Church of God.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood and will be placed in the church at 2 PM Sunday.
The family is at the home on Draper Street and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 Saturday evening.

Mary H. Carter
Mary Hinson Carter, 70, formerly of Greenwood, widow of Earle Carter, died Friday, June 11, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.
The family is at the home of Ronnie and Kathy Coleman, 311 Creek Road W.
Services will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home.

Bessie Leola Maddox
DONALDS — Bessie Leola Maddox, 86, of Route 1, widow of the Rev. Dr. James Selden Maddox, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at the home of her son.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Henry and Bessie Lucille Mosley Marshall. She was a member of Campfield Baptist Church and, later of Dunn Creek Baptist Church. A graduate of Benedict College, she received a master’s degree in education from Clemson University and taught in the Abbeville County School District for more than 30 years. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Ricky Maddox; three grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Marshall Smith of Suitland, Md., and Annie Marshall Boyd of Blackville.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Campfield Baptist Church, Abbeville. Burial is in Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Ware Shoals.
Visitation is 6 tonight at Dunn Creek Baptist Church.
The family is at the home.
The Unity Mortuary, Anderson, is in charge.
