HAMPTON, Va. — Services for Michael Leverette are 3 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh A.M.E. Church, McCormick, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Wayman Coleman III, assisted by the Revs. Roy Norman, Herman Lyons and Glenn Mims. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial with military rites is in the church cemetery.
Flower bearers are church ushers and ladies of McCormick High School Class of 1972.
The family is at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leverette Sr., Troy Road, and the home of a brother Larry Leverette, Chestnut Ridge Road, both in McCormick.
Walker Funeral Home, McCormick, is in charge.

James B. Perrin Sr.
Services for James Benjamin Perrin Sr. are 2 p.m. Sunday at Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Paul Wharton. Burial is in Old Field Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons and friends.
Flower bearers are granddaughters.
The family is at the home, 609 Magnolia Drive, Magnolia subdivision.

Thomas Bennett
Thomas Bennett, 50, of 203 Kentucky Ave., Bliff Heights, husband of Mona Lisa Bennett, died Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Joe Bennett and the late Ida Searles Bennett. He was a member of China Baptist Church and a graduate of Brewer High School.
Survivors include his wife of Greenwood; two daughters, Tisha Bennett and Chelle Bennett, both of Greenwood; two brothers, Wilburt Bennett of Promised Land Community and Joe Bennett of McCormick; six sisters, Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Tate of Philadelphia, Mrs. Dennis (Mattie) Robertson of Brewington, Ala., Mrs. Denny (Ernestine) Scott of Greenwood, Mrs. Booker T. (Angela) Mosley of Greenwood, Mrs. George (Josephine) Watson of Promised Land Community, Sadie Smith of Greenville; and two grandchildren of Greenwood.
The family is at the home of his sister, Mrs. Booker T. (Angela), 203 Kentucky Ave., Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc.

Alison Lee
Joseph Alison “Cruiser” Lee, 80 resident of 108 Cedar Lake Ct., husband of Kathryn McConnell Lee, died July 10, 2004 at his home.
Born in Laurens, June 7, 1924, he was the son of the late Alison and Sadie Sullivan Lee and was raised in the home of the late Mr. & Mrs. Fitz Hugh Lee. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Clemson College where he graduated with an Architectural Degree. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran of WW II.
Mr. Lee was a partner of Greene, Banks and Lee Associates in Greenville. He later returned to Greenwood where he owned and operated J. Alison Lee Architect, Inc. He was the architect of many churches, schools, residences and establishments in Greenwood and the surrounding area.
A life member of the First Presbyterian Church, he was also a member of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class and formerly served as Elder of the church. He was also a member of the Greenwood Rotary Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are daughters Kathryn Lee Bourne of Due West and Dr. Julia St. Claire Lee Allen and husband Todd Allen of Batesville, AR. A son, Stephen Alison Lee and wife Mary Lee Lee of Greenwood. A sister, Ella Claire Mays and husband Calhoun Mays, Jr. of Greenwood. Sisters-in-law, Julia Allen of Florence and Margaret Ellen Lee of Aiken. Four grandchildren, Julia Ashley Bourne, Katie Allen, Jack Allen and Lindsey Lee. A great-grandson, Carson Daniel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Mayo and Dr. John Livingston officiating.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Riddle, John Lund, Derrick Lee, Arthur Lee, Calhoun Mays III, Donny McKellar, Nick Daniel and Clint Douglas.
Honorary escort will be Donald and Suzannah McKellar, Harold McCord, Graham and Grace Reynolds, Harold and Betty Lumley, Hap and Mary Stark Marshall, Liza Jay, Winifred and Dick Gray, Dave and Lillie Simonson, Doris Greene, Country Harrison, Sam Putman, Margie Everett, Marilyn Fuller and Judy Daniel.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 10 AM Monday.
The family is at the home in Cedar Lake.

Barbara Moseley
SUMMERVILLE, SC – Lois Barbara (Bobby) Huggins Moseley died at the Summerville Presbyterian Home (PH), July 1. She is survived by her ex-husband Marion Montague Moseley of Greenwood, her daughter Marian Moseley, her son Claiborne Lake Moseley, II, and his family: her daughter-in-law Carla Reitz Moseley, two granddaughters, Sherry Elizabeth Moseley and Catherine Lake Moseley, as well as two brothers. Her nieces include Dorothy Moseley Parker and Harriett Schneider Williams.
Her memorial service will be at 2pm in the chapel at the Summerville PH, Sat., July 17.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the Resident Aid Endowment Fund of The Presbyterian Home of SC, PO Box 210037, Columbia, SC, 29221. Her family considers the excellent and loving care provided by the PH to be a radiant example of accomplishing the Biblical instruction, “Do all you do as unto the Lord.”

Roosevelt Quarles Sr.
TROY — Roosevelt Quarles Sr., of Route One, Box 173, Mount Vernon Road, husband of Maggie Quarles, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at his home.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Jonathan Walter Hawks
HIGH POINT, NC — Jonathan Walter Hawks, infant son of Tim and Cindy Hawks, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Women’s Hospital of Greensboro.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Jessica Hawks of the home; grandparents, John and Vicky Tucker of Greenwood, Dan and Nancy Hawks of High Point; and great-grandmother, Annie Henderson of Greenwood.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Mark Shelly.
Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, is in charge.

Tom Lowe
Dudley Thomas “Tom” Lowe, 71, of 303 Willowbrook Road, husband of Jill Rowell Lowe, died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at his home.
Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Dudley Anderson Lowe and Carrie White Lowe. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, Wofford College and was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a former teacher in Brunswick County, N.C. and taught at Emerald Junior High School in Greenwood for 17 years. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church, the Experimental Aircraft Assoc., Disabled American Veterans and the Merry Mixers Square Dancers.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Renee L. Richardson of Vancouver, Wash. and Kay L. Shedlock of Fort Worth, Texas ; two sons, Dudley T. Lowe Jr. and Scott Lowe, both of Greenwood; a sister, Roberta Lowe of White Rock, S.C.; a brother, Boyce Lowe of Cowpens, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Jeff Lethco.
Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Blyth Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.

Pearl Cheshire
WARE SHOALS, SC – Pearl Smith Cheshire, 84, widow of Lewyen “Lee” Cheshire, formerly of Walnut St., died Sunday, August 8, 2004 at National Health Care, Greenwood. She was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Hubret Garfield and Ila O’Dell Lollis Smith. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons: Charles Cheshire, Donalds; Larry Cheshire and Ronnie Cheshire, both of Ware Shoals; one daughter, Diane C. Lamb, Honea Path; three sisters, Kathleen Chapman, Williamston; Sybil Garrett, Belton and Laura Elgin, Belton. Also, fifteen grandchil-dren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Predeceasing Mrs. Cheshire were two children, Donald and David Cheshire; three brothers, Homer, Clarence and D.C. Smith and two sisters: Ruth Pruitt and Elsie Kelly.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at First Baptist Church at 11 AM with Rev. Leon Jones and Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of Ronnie and Diane Cheshire, 10 W. Jackson St., Ware Shoals and will receive friends at Parker-White Funeral Home Tuesday, 6-8 PM. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn., P.O. Box 658, Green-wood, SC 29648.

Robert H. McClinton Jr.
Services for Robert Henry “R.H.” McClinton Jr., of 1317 Florida Ave., are at noon Thursday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Raymond Adams, pastor. Assisting are the Revs. Michael Butler, J.E. Palmer, Norris Turner, Bernard White, Jonathan Greene and Keith O’Banner. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are church trustees.
Flower bearers are church deaconesses and trustee wives.
Honorary escorts are church deacons and members of Sons of Aide No. 55.

Mattie Mae Smith
McCORMICK — Mattie Mae Smith, 79, widow of Arthur Smith, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004 at McCormick Health Care Center.
Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late George and Ella Sibert Jennings. She was a member of Shiloh A.M.E. Church and a retired employee of McCormick County School District.
Survivors include a daughter, Ella Mae Smith of Abbeville; a sister, Pauline Scott of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four brothers, Robert Jennings of Vancille, Calif., George Jennings of Mount Vernon, N.Y., William Jennings of Brooklyn and Charlie Jennings of McCormick.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Ella Mae Smith, 106 Secession Ave., Abbeville and of a brother Charlie Jennings, Chestnut Ridge Road, McCormick.
Services will be announced by Walker Funeral Home.

Nancy Mundy
ABBEVILLE, SC — Nancy Finley Mundy, 61, resident of 478 Watts Rd., Watts Community, wife of Donald L. Mundy died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Abbeville Co. Memorial Hospital.
Born in Abbeville Co. SC, she was a daughter of Dorothy Sharpton Harmon and the late Paul Finley.
She was formerly employed with the Abbeville Co. Memorial Hospital, Abbeville Rescue Squad and the City of Abbeville Police Dept. She was also a member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are: Husband, Donald L. Mundy, of the home; 3 daughters, Donna Link and her husband, Dennis of Abbeville, SC, Alison Latham and her husband, Jerry of Abbeville, SC, Kelly James and her husband, Joe of Abbeville, SC; 1 son, Hugh Mundy and his wife, Susan of Abbeville, SC; 2 sisters, Carol Speer, Abbeville, SC, Karen Nicholson, Abbeville, SC; 1 brother, Jimmy Finley, Abbeville, SC; 5 grandchildren, Drew Davis, Ryan Davis, Whitney Stroud, Levi James and Casey Mundy; mother and father, Walt and Dorothy Harmon, Abbeville, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 1:00 PM from Warrenton Presbyterian Church with Mr. Otto McDonald and Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening. The family is at the home 478 Watts Rd., Abbeville, SC.

McCORMICK — Peter Steven “Pete” Parsons Jr., 53, of Highway 378 E., died Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Atmore, Ala., he was a son of the late Peter S. Sr. and Perline Green Parsons. He was owner-operator of Pete Parsons Grocery.
Survivors include a son, Steven Mark Parsons of the home; two daughters, Christine P. Young of Troy and Doris Parsons of the home; two sisters, Susan P. Smith of Atmore, Ala. and Voncille P. Brooks of Frisco City, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. George Boyd.
Burial is in Troy Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Sammy Davis, Gary Gable, Willie Durant, Larry Davis, Kenny Hendrick, Ronnie Padgett and Roger Dorn.
