ABERDEEN- Fernanda "Ferne" Perez, 82, Aberdeen and formerly of Huron, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.
Survivors include two sons, James Sisneroz, Florida, and Thomas Perez, Aberdeen; two daughters, Teena Perez, Huron, and Rosemary Human, Vista, Calif.; one sister, Pauline Arguello, Rapid City; two brothers, Joseph Perez, Leavenworth, Kan., and Felix Elizade, Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses near Huron, with Glen Kuiper officiating.

Marietta F. Tollie Draper Benbow
OSAGE, Wyo. - Marietta F. Tollie Draper Benbow, 77, Osage, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Weston County Manor in Newcastle, Wyo.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Fiscus-Schaefer, Osage; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, S.D.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Friends and family may gather at the funeral chapel before leaving for the cemetery.
Barbara Ahonen Perrin
BRISBANE, Australia - Barbara Ahonen Perrin, 56, Brisbane and formerly of Newell, S.D., died Friday, March 22, 2002, in Brisbane.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Perrin, Brisbane; her father, Leo Ahonen, Newell; and four sisters, Beverly Winkler, Newell, Elaine Ainsworth, Piedmont, S.D., Susan Bulleit, New Albany, Ind., and Janette Ahonen, Aurora, Colo.
Arrangements are pending with Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home of Sturgis.
Betty C. Sever
RAPID CITY - Betty C. Sever, 63, Rapid City, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Milo Sever, Rapid City; two sons, Jeffrey Sever, Rapid City, and Mark Sever, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two brothers, Elroy Baker, Wecota, and Raymond Baker, Hereford; two sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Hill City, and Mary Birdwell, Rapid City; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City.
S.D. 'Buck' Legge
WINNER - S.D. "Buck" Legge, 80, Winner, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Winner Regional Healthcare Center.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Legge, Winner; three sisters, Thelma Vosika, Denver, and Ruth Zibel and Mary Jane Kaplan, both of Winner; and one brother, Robert Legge, Winner.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Mason Funeral Home in Winner.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Winner.
Burial will be at Winner Cemetery.
Evelyn E. Zimmerman
VALE - Evelyn E. Zimmerman, 92, Vale, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Good Samaritan Center in New Underwood.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Zimmerman, San Diego, and Albert "James" Gifford, Box Elder; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 31, and from 8 a.m. until service time Monday, April 1, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Baum officiating.
Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Clayton R. Noble
LA HABRA, Calif.- Clayton R. Noble, 58, of La Habra, Calif., formerly of Rapid City, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at his home in La Habra.
He was born January 14, 1944, at Midland, S.D., to John and Frances Noble.
He was a skilled ironworker and welder, having worked on a number of interesting projects in California and Nevada. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 433.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Noble of La Habra, Calif.; one son, John (Olivia) Noble of Kauai, Hawaii; one daughter, Janelle (Donald) Lane of Chino, Calif.; his mother, Frances Noble; three brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Noble, Larry (Marsha) Noble and Gary (Cindy) Noble, all of Rapid City, S.D.; one sister, Kay (Robert) King of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepsister, Margaret Davis of Fremont, Calif.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in La Habra on Thursday, March 28, 2002, and in Rapid City, S.D., on Saturday, March 30, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Behrens Mortuary.
Burial will follow at Midland Cemetery at 1 p.m. in Midland, S.D.
Memorials will be directed to American Cancer Society for research. Behrens Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Max S. Nordstrom
HILLSBORO, Ore. - Max S. Nordstrom, 47, of Hillsboro, Ore., died Saturday, March 23, 2002, in Corbett, Ore.
Mr. Nordstrom was born Feb. 1, 1955, in Rapid City. He graduated from Central High School and Alaska Pacific University. On July 10, 1999, he married Colette Moore in Rapid City. Max was network operations manager for WCI Cable, an undersea fiber optic cable company. He lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, for nine years and Anchorage, Alaska, for eight years before moving to Hillsboro, Ore., a year ago. He was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church and IOOF Lodge in Fairburn, S.D. He enjoyed riding and collecting Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was a gun collector.
Survivors include wife Colette of Hillsboro, Ore.; son Jason Nordstrom of Kalispell, Mont.; stepson Nate Rundle of Rapid City; parents Barney and Lena Opal (Elker) Nordstrom of Fairburn, S.D.; sisters Sally Nordstrom of Anchorage, Alaska, and Melissa Kramer of Bellevue, Idaho; and brother Woody Nordstrom of Rapid City.
Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2002, with a private family prayer service to follow at Kirk Funeral Home Chapel of Light.
Visitation will continue for one hour before service time Saturday at the church.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Diehl and Rev. Greg Kroger officiating. Burial will follow at Fairburn Cemetery in Fairburn, S.D.

Sandy Dean Kull
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Sandy Dean Kull, 38, Gainesville, Fla., and formerly of Rapid City, S.D., died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Loretta and Robert Stymiest, Hot Springs, S.D.; one brother, Grover Kull, Porter, Texas; one sister, Phyllis Williamson, Porter; and two sisters, Mary Mateo and Robyn Gyles, both of Rapid City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, with the Rev. Peter Kovarik officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron, Neb.
Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel of Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Ruby Loretta Nedved
RAPID CITY - Ruby Loretta Nedved passed away on her 81st birthday, Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Rapid City Care Center while in respite care as a Hospice of the Hills patient.
Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2002, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Behrens Mortuary.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church in Rapid City.
Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Ruby was born on March 27, 1921, to Ernest and Ellen Mollett of Geddes, S.D. On April 3, 1946, Ruby married Delmar J. Nedved, who preceded her in death in 1960.
She taught at Canyon Lake School in Rapid City and continued teaching as a substitute after her retirement. Her love for her students, their families and co-workers was her great joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Shields and her husband Bill of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Dora Varuska of Platte, S.D.; three granddaughters, Jennifer Hill, Candice Solis and Leslie Shields; grandsons-in-law, Ryan Hill and Steve Solis; and great-granddaughter, Tarryn Hill; and future great-grandson, baby Solis.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Bernice Montague Trainer; and brothers, Clarence, Al, Vern, Ed and Charley Mollett.
Ruby's friends and family were her support and comfort during her bout with cancer.
Behrens Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

LEMMON - George Lockert, 83, Lemmon, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Five Counties Hospital in Lemmon.
Survivors include one son, Rick Lockert, Jordan, Minn.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Annie Christman, Lemmon, and Frances Stillman, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Visitation, with family present, will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, followed by a rosary service, at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.
Visitation will continue for one hour before services, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon, with the Rev. Dennis Riss officiating.
Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon.

RAPID CITY - Albert Lee LaRoche, 64, Rapid City and formerly of Hot Springs, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at Bella Vista Nursing Center in Rapid City.
Survivors include his wife, Lenora LaRoche, Rapid City; five sisters, Ann Reman and Norma Defender, both of Mobridge, and Alfreda LaCompte, Gwen Jandreau and Jeanette Scott, all of Lower Brule; and two brothers, Sylvester LaRoche, Lower Brule, and William LaRoche, Albuquerque, N.M.
A wake service will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lower Brule.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at the church, with the Rev. Jim Walters, the Rev. Stephen Huffstetter and the Rev. Chuck Wonch officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lower Brule.

EAGLE BUTTE - Floyd Useful Heart, 65, Eagle Butte, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at a Rapid City nursing home.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Zephier, Eagle Butte.
Graveside services, with military honors by Sturgis Honor Guard, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Black Hills National Cemetery Rotunda near Sturgis.

Esther C. Poshusta
RAPID CITY - Esther C. Poshusta, 97, Rapid City, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at a local nursing home.
Survivors include two nieces, Avanelle Pfenning and Candice Lancaster, both of Rapid City, and two nephews, Bob Hede, Casper, Wyo., and Virgil Miller, Seattle.
Her husband, Carl Poshusta, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. today at Kirk Chapel of Light in Rapid City.
