Marjorie L. "Margie" Weller was born May 1, 1939 on a farm nine miles northwest of Arriba, Colorado, the daughter of Leonard "Bill" and Stella (Anderson) Weller.
Margie lived on the farm until they moved into Arriba, Colorado when she was in 2nd grade. She attended the first through fourth grade in Arriba. In 1949 she moved to Kadoka with her family, where she attended the remaining years of grade school and high school. Margie was active in GAA, chorus, and a majorette. After graduation, she worked at the Senechal Hotel in Philip. She then attended business school in Denver, and later returned to Kadoka and worked at the Jackson County Auditors Office until August of 1961.
Margie was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Borbely on December 28, 1960. They continued to reside in Kadoka until 1976 when they moved to Sturgis, where she worked for the Meade County ASCS office and The Drug Store of Sturgis.
Her husband Dick preceded her in death on May 3, 1985. Margie continued to reside in Sturgis until moving to Wall in 1996, where she has since resided. While in Wall, Margie worked at the Wall Drug Store.
Margie was a member of the Wall Evangelical Free Bible Church, a member of the Big Buffalo Coyotes 4-H Club, and was a founding member of the Golden 4-H Club of Kadoka. She was also a member of the Naomi Circle in Kadoka, a 4-H leader, and a director and member of WJLS. Throughout the years, Margie taught Bible School in Kadoka, taught released time and volunteered for various activities at the Evangelical Free Church in Wall. She also donated a lot of time to missionary projects and was a big supporter of numerous charitable organizations.
Grateful for having shared her life include her son Robert "Bob" Borbely and his wife Kim of Ellsworth; two daughters Jodie Lehrkamp and her husband Mike of Caputa, and Dixie Opheim and her husband Tom of Mound City; ten grandchildren, Michael and Kori Lehrkamp, Sig Lehrkamp, Carl Lehrkamp, Tosha Opheim, Lexi Opheim, Cade Opheim, Michael Borbely, Cheyanne Borbely, and Mason Borbely; one great-granddaughter Paige Lehrkamp; two brothers, Harold "Bud" Weller and his wife Clara Belle of Kadoka, and W.O. "Bill" Weller and his wife Jean of Kadoka; two sisters June Wanczyk and her husband Joe of Wall, and Shirley Josserand and her husband Orville of Kadoka; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dwayne and Willard Weller, and one sister Ivalene Weller.
Marjorie L. Borbely, age 63, of Wall, formerly of Sturgis, died Sunday morning, March 9, 2003 at her home in Wall.
Visitation was held 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall, and one hour preceding the services at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the First Wesleyan Church in Sturgis, with Pastor Ron Lewis officiating.
Interment was 2:30 p.m. at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.
The family requests memorials directed to the Wall Evangelical Free Church and the 4-H Club.

Bill White
age 70 of Pedro, South Dakota, died September 4, 2009, at his home in Pedro.
Billy W. “Bill” White was born July 2, 1939, in Pedro, South Dakota, the son of Ward C. and Margaret (Mayer) White. He grew up in the Pedro area before moving to Wall and attending school.
Bill entered the United States Army on December 13, 1956. While on active duty, he served in Korea until his honorable discharge on December 9, 1958.
Bill was united in marriage to Rose Marie Riley on July 24th, 1959, at Melmore Acres in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They made their home in the Omaha area for five years, where Bill was employed at the stockyards and feedlot. They made their last move to Pedro to the home place where he was born in the fall of 1964. He has resided there ever since.
Bill was fortunate to spend his life ranching, which is what he loved to do. He was never afraid of a hard days work, up before dawn and back after dark. Bill could be found putting up hay, calving cows, fixing fence, or helping a neighbor with anything that needed to be done. Bill could always be found cutting calves at brandings throughout the area. He loved his ranch life, friends, and neighbors. Bill was also a lifetime member of the F.J. Willuweit VFW Post #9120 of Quinn.
Bill’s family was the most important thing in his life, his greatest pride and joy. He had so much love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His first child was his daughter Billie Jo Eisenbraun and her husband Wayland who make their home in Kadoka. Their daughter Jo Beth and her husband Chris Uhlir along with their children, known to Grandpa White as the “Great Ones”: Hunter, Hudson and Lilly. Their son Ty makes his home at Pedro where he works for grandma and grandpa.
They were then blessed with a son Joseph White who now makes his home along with his wife Karyn and grandson Anthony in Dinosaur, Colorado. His daughter Candace "Girlfriend" Gray and her husband James live in Virginia, his son Christopher is currently attending BHSU.
A second daughter made their family complete. Bobbie Jo Custis who calls Wall home shares her life with her husband David and three daughters Sadye, Savana, and Shaelee, all of Wall.
Bill could be found throughout his life supporting and teaching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and participating in their activities. Bill loved spending time with his wife of 50 years, Rose. They loved to spend their time doing a bit of traveling or just about anything.
There were always a few extra kids at the White house, which Bill always welcomed. There were several young people who were a special part of Bill’s life and spent so much time at his home. They are Jeanna Daly, Kris Anna Riley, April Schofield, Tom Clements and Jenny Reckling.
Bill was a very kind person, happy to shake your hand whether he had just met you or known you for years. He was a man who’s heart was filled with love for his wife and love of his life, Rose, his family and many, many friends.
Along with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Bill is survived by two brothers Bob White of Rapid City, and Fred White and his wife Arlene of Rapid City; three sisters Audrey Hoffman of Wall, Delores Poss and her husband Donnie of Philip, and Margy Kjerstad of Piedmont.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Richard "Dick" White; and two brother-in-laws Jerry Kjerstad and Maurice Hoffman.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, at the Wall Community Center, and one hour preceding the services on Wednesday.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, at the Wall Community Center, with Pastor Sheri Fadley officiating.
Interment with military honors by the F.J. Willuweit VFW Post #9120 of Quinn, was held at the Mt. Hope cemetery in Quinn.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established.

Delbert Coller
age 81 of Longvalley, South Dakota, died May 28, 2009, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Delbert Fay Coller was born on March 2, 1928 to Fay and Keathel (Bovey) Coller in Mitchell, SD. In 1933, he had infantile paralysis and stayed with Gramma Bovey in Kennebec where she cured his illness with bread and milk poultice. In 1935, Delbert attended elementary school in LongValley (Harding School). At the age of 7, Delbert stayed with Jim & Maude Arnold where he worked to pay for room and board. He got 15 cents/day. In 1939, his mother died of kidney disease. For two summers, he worked for Jim and Bertha McDonald. After his Mother’s death, he lived with Rose and Bill Gropper, Ivan and Gladys Stevenson, Wally Ruggles, and George Olson. In 1943, Delbert worked for the “late” Maurice Handcock farming. Delbert was a proud graduate of Kadoka High School in 1946. While in high school, Delbert lived with Rachel White, Francis Gillmore, and also Alice Drury where he got $18.50/mo doing odd jobs. He lived with Tiny Young and worked for Maurice in the summer. In 1949, Delbert began working for Donald Handcock. In 1950 – 1952, he worked for Les Crew herding sheep.
On Feb. 1, 1952, Delbert enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was a Corporal in the Airborne Army and Heavy Artillery. He didn’t fight in the Korean War as he was an only child. He then joined the Army Reserves in January 31, 1954 through 1966.
Returning back to LongValley, he met Virginia Lee Goodman. Delbert and Virginia were united in marriage on Aug. 26, 1956.
Together, the couple moved to St. Louis, MO where Delbert attended diesel school at Bailey Technical School. They then moved north of Draper, SD, where he worked for Clarence Berry for 1 ½ years. Delbert moved his family to, what was then, Washabaugh County where they continue to reside.
Delbert worked for Washabaugh County repairing roads, and also Coon Chevrolet and Bair Ford & Mercury as a mechanic. In 1972, Delbert started and maintained “Coller Repair” at his home place.
Thankful for sharing his life include: his wife, Virginia of 53 years; two sons - Craig Coller & his wife Diana of Kadoka and their four sons, Mike Coller of Kadoka and his 3 daughters; 3 daughters - Teresa Proctor and her husband Rick of East Stroudsburg, PA and their 2 children, Roberta Coller of Kendall, WI and her 3 children, and Barbara Rokke and her husband DelRay of Maplewood, MN and their two daughters; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law Al Goodman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Delbert was preceded in death by his mother Keathel, his father Fay, one granddaughter Marie Georgia Coller, and one great granddaughter Jaylee Dae Coller.
Visitation was held 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 31, at the Rush Funeral Home in Kadoka.
Services were held Monday, June 1, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at the Kadoka City Auditorium
Interment with military honors was held at the Kadoka cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kadoka Nursing Home or Kadoka Ambulance.

Bessie Krogman
age 81 of White River, South Dakota, died March 3, 2010, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, with her daughter Kristi at her side.
Bessie Anna Petr was born October 11, 1928, in White River, South Dakota, the daughter of Adolf and Bessie (Fott) Petr. Bessie’s father immigrated to America from Czechoslovakia and Bessie grew up on the family homestead southwest of White River. She attended the Ringthunder Elementary Country School and went to White River High School graduating in 1946. She then attended one year at the National College of Business in Rapid City, SD.
Bessie met Harold at Pallmaters farm sale in 1946 and they were married December 1, 1947 in Winner, SD. They spent their first year living on the Louie Krogman ranch, then returned to her family homestead. They were blessed with 62 plus years together. To this union four children were born; Harold Jr., Ed, Ben, and Kristi.
She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, remembering each one on their birthday and made every holiday special. She enjoyed riding her 4-wheeler helping chase cattle especially in the spring seeing all the new calves. She was often seen just cruising around going to pick eggs or deliver the mail. Her garden and flowers were beautiful producing an abundance which she shared with family and many others in our community. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved doing laundry. She welcomed all into their home with a warm smile, coffee, cookies or a home cooked meal. Her chickens were special to her as she cared for them daily picking eggs for family and others.
Bessie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Riverview Club, United Methodist Church, Senior Citizens and many other organizations over the years.
Bessie is survived by her husband Harold Krogman, Sr. of White River; son Harold (Gail) Krogman of Mission; son Edward (Susan) Krogman of White River; son Ben (Wanda) Krogman of White River; and daughter Kristi (Levi) Newbold of White River; 13 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents and two infant siblings.
Visitation was held from 7-8 p.m. CST Sunday, March 7, at the Methodist Church in White River, and one hour preceding the services at the Events Center on Monday.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. CST on Monday, March 8, at the White River Community Events Center, with Pastor Iva Laudermith officiating.
Interment will be in the White River cemetery.
A memorial is established to the Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minnesota and the White River Senior Citizens.

Funeral services for Sharon S. Wyant, age 63, of Wall, were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, at the First Lutheran Church in Wall, with Vicar Monte Dell officiating.
Sharon died Tuesday morning, February 25, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Visitation was held at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, and one hour preceding the services at the church on Friday.
Interment was 2:00 p.m. Friday at Black Hills National cemetery.
Sharon S. Pierce was born July 21, 1939 in Wall, South Dakota, the daughter Frank and Hazel (Halverson) Pierce.
She was raised on the family ranch north of Creighton, South Dakota. Sharon attended grade school at Squaw Creek School and graduated from Wall High School.
In April 1959, Sharon was united in marriage to LeRoy Wyant.
Sharon worked for the United States Postal Service and other various jobs in Wall. She was a member of Wall Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband LeRoy Wyant of Wall; two daughters Pam Chapman and her husband Mark of Rapid City, and Patty Lanfear of Quinn; five grandchildren Leanna Chapman of Vermillion, Bret Chapman of Rapid City, Ray Craven of Rapid City, Justin Livermont, and Dexter Livermont, both of Quinn; two sisters, Florence Hagel of Flushing, Michigan and Rita Danielson of Broadus, Montana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Pat Lurz; and one brother Frankie Pierce.

Peggy Diann Sharp was born October 12, 1957 at Kadoka, South Dakota, the daughter of Benjamin and Ruth (Rieger) Sharp. She attended her first three years of school in Interior, then attended Little Wound School in Kyle. She started high school in Kadoka but graduated from Little Wound School in Kyle in 1976. While in high school she was active with cheerleading, played volleyball, played in the school band and was active in 4-H for several years. Throughout high school she participated in barrel racing and loved horses and the sport of rodeo. After high school she attended National College of Business in Rapid City.
Peggy was united in marriage to Tom Geigle on November 27, 1976 at Kadoka. They made their home on the family ranch south of Interior. Peggy worked as a postal clerk for thirteen years before becoming disabled with critical diabetes.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Thomas Geigle of Interior; one son Troy Geigle of Rapid City; a grandson, Dustyn Geigle of Wall; her mother Ruth Sharp of Rapid City; a brother Ben J. Sharp Jr.and his wife Janet of Interior; two nephews and four nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lynn Geigle and her father Benjamin Sharp Sr.
Peggy Diane (Sharp) Geigle, age 45, of Interior, died Monday morning February 24, 2003 at the Beverly Health Care - Black Hills in Rapid City.
Visitation was held 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip, and one hour preceding the services at the school on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, at the Interior School Gym with Pastor Jeff Tippner officiating.
Interment will be at the Wall cemetery.

Eleanor Eileen Sorensen was born in Philip, South Dakota on August 26, 1921 the daughter of Soren K. and Arta "Artie" (Ramsey) Sorensen.
The effects of the Great Depression and the untimely death of her father in 1932 helped mold Eleanor’s life on the family homestead. After high school, she attended South Dakota State University in Spearfish and became a schoolteacher.
Eleanor was united in marriage to Evan Edwards in 1945 and they settled in the Black Hills area. They lived in the Hamilton, Missouri area from 1961 through 1968, then relocated to Hermosa, South
Dakota. Eleanor retired from the Hermosa School system in 1986 and moved back to Philip in 1996.
Eleanor was an accomplished homemaker, a great cook, dedicated seamstress, avid reader, and avowed Atlanta Braves fan. She took great pride in her large family and always enjoyed seeing and being around them. Eleanor especially enjoyed discussing baseball with her brother Morris who was a Chicago Cubs fan. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Hermosa, South Dakota.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Edwards and his wife Vicky of Jefferson City, Missouri, Chuck Edwards and his wife Marion of DeSoto, Texas, and Mike Edwards and his wife Julie of Littleton, Colorado; two daughters Nancy Krause and her husband Ron of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kathy Liney and her husband Dave of Cohoes, New York. Her extended family includes Evan "Bud" Edwards, Robert "Bob' Edwards and John Edwards and Mary Murrey; seventeen
grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters Letitia "Tisha" Gustafson of Faith, and Doris Burns of Vivian; a sister in-law Helen Sorensen and a special cousin, Hazel Thompson, both of Philip; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother Morris Sorensen; and a half-brother Hiram "Eldon" Waddell.
Eleanor Edwards, age 81, of Philip formerly of Hermosa, died Saturday evening, February 22, 2003 at the Philip Nursing Home.
Visitation was held 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip, and one hour preceding the services at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, at the Evangelical Free Church in Philip, with Pastor Gary Wahl officiating.
Interment was 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.

Travis Todd Schofield was born on his grandparents' original family homestead southwest of Midland on Brave Bull Creek, the son of Harry W. "Hank" and Eva Pauline (Fosheim) Schofield. He grew up on the homestead and attended Midland High School.
As a young man he worked at the Philip Livestock Auction for about fifteen years. He worked as a ranch and farm hand most of his life.
Travis was united in marriage to Kathryn M. Eagle Bear on January 11, 2002 in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota. After their marriage they made their home in Ft. Pierre, later moving to Presho. In 2003, they moved to Reliance, South Dakota where they resided until moving back to Midland in 2004.
He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Travis had a heart of gold and was willing to do anything for anybody. He was especially fond of little children. He had a special spot and lots of love in his heart for his step-daughter Maria. He always had a hug for his little nieces and nephews.
Travis loved music, especially country western. He had a great knowledge of cars and trucks and a great love of horses.
Grateful for sharing his life is his wife Kathryn M. Schofield of Rapid City; a step-daughter, Maria Eagle Bear of Chamberlain; his mother, Eva Pauline Schofield of Midland; five brothers, Monte Schofield, Kirby Schofield and his wife Nancy, Wesley Schofield and his wife Marina, and Will Schofield all of Midland and Lucas Schofield and his wife Tammi, of Philip; three sisters, June Fedderson and her husband Leroy, and Julie McLaughlin and her husband Larry, all of Midland and Jill Splitt and her husband Wayne of Black Hawk; and a host of relatives and friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his father, Harry H. "Hank" Schofield on November 21, 2003.
Travis Todd Schofield, age 37, of Midland died Saturday morning, July 3rd, 2004 as a result of an auto accident northwest of Murdo.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland, with Pastor Paul Bly officiating.
Interment was in the Midland cemetery.
