James Howard O'Grady

PLAINVIEW — James Howard O'Grady, 76, Plainview, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Ada Mae, Plainview; one stepson, Casey Brink, Union Center; one stepdaughter, Dixie Battles, Sturgis; one brother, Norman O'Grady, Enning; and six stepgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Sturgis, with the Rev. Pat McCorkell and the Rev. Wes Labrier officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elm Springs cemetery in Elm Springs.

Ralph Brumm

RAPID CITY — Ralph Brumm, 91, Rapid City, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include one daughter, Barb Troxell, Nemo; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City.

Leo C. Manson

RAPID CITY - Leo C. Manson, 75, of Rapid City died Monday, December 3, 2001, at the VA Medical Center in Fort Meade, South Dakota.

He was born on January 10, 1926, in Minot, to James P. and Rose (McGinley) Manson. Leo served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class from June 1944 to June 1946 aboard the USS Commencement Bay. Leo was married to Mary (Flores) Manson from 1954 to 1974. He married Idella (Kreber) Manson in 1975.

Leo served many years as a bus driver for the City of Rapid City. Following his retirement, he served as a volunteer bus driver for the Canyon Lake Senior Center. He was active in the senior center and was a member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus. Leo enjoyed all sporting events, including Post 22 baseball and high school basketball and football. He was an avid golfer and also participated in the Senior Olympics. Leo also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and being around his friends.

Leo is survived by his son, Leo C. Manson Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Bothell, Wash.; four sisters, Dolly Manson of San Francisco, Mary Hall and Dorothy Jones of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Elaine Blasquez of Manteca, Calif.; two brothers, Paul Manson of Sacramento, and James Manson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; three grandchildren, Katie, Bobby and Kimmy Manson, all of Bothell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Idella, in June of 2001; and a sister, Georgina Crady.

Inurnment will be at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis. No services are planned.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Jack Douglas Renstrom

ENUMCLAW, Wash. - Jack Douglas Renstrom, 76, Enumclaw and formerly of Hot Springs, S.D., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in Enumclaw.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Renstrom, Enumclaw; three children, David, Stephen and Rebecca; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Kruse, Hill City, S.D., and Betty Renstrom, Seattle; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Renstrom, Hot Springs.

A memorial open house was held Saturday, Nov. 24, in Enumclaw.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Wilbur Paul Cottonwood

BISMARCK, N.D. - Wilbur Paul Cottonwood, the son of Jerome and Benedicta (Good Iron) Cottonwood Jr., was born July 7, 1948, in Fort Yates, N.D. Wilbur was raised and educated in Fort Yates, continuing his education at Bismarck State College, Standing Rock College and the University of Mary. Wilbur served with the U.S. Marine Corps, receiving his honorable discharge in 1968. Wilbur died on November 25, 2001, in Medcenter One Health Systems, Bismarck, at the age of 53.

He is survived by two sisters, Alvina K. Morrison, Raleigh, and Marilyn Sadland, Fort Yates; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Gerald Birk, Sturgis Police Department, Sturgis, S.D.; and special friend Anne M. Ianniciello, Faith.

His parents; four brothers, Courtney, Robert, Nathan and Wayne; and two sisters, Ramona Bendickson and Katharine Cottonwood, preceded him in death.

Gloria A. Lyons

RAPID CITY - Gloria A. Lyons, 55, Rapid City, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her father, Eldon Rosander, Rapid City; two sons, Shawn Lyons, Huron, and Robb Nelson, Parker, Colo.; one brother, Larry Rosander, Oacoma; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at First Congregational Church in Rapid City, with the Rev. Ted Huffman officiating.

Burial will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital.

Otto E. Mueller

RAPID CITY - Otto E. Mueller, 87, Rapid City, died at the Westhills Health Care Center on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001.

He was born Nov. 29, 1914, the son of George and Regina (Schatz) Mueller, in the rural Lesterville, S.D., area, and grew up at Scotland, S.D. He graduated from high school at Scotland and later attended business college at Mitchell, S.D. Otto moved to Rapid City in 1936 and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Fort Meade. He was married to Pearl Jackson on Aug. 21, 1938, in Rapid City. He served in the U.S. Navy from November of 1942 until November of 1945. He returned to Rapid City following military service and was the assistant sales manager at the S.D. Cement Plant from 1946 until 1953. From 1953 until 1977, he was the Director of Purchasing for the Knecht Industries.

Otto was an Elder at First Presbyterian Church, past Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, served on the original Board of Directors at Westhills Village, was a past President of the Sertoma Club, a past President of Western S.D. Traffic Bureau, and the recipient of the Good Neighbor Award.

Survivors include two sons, William A. "Bill" Mueller, Phoenix, Ariz., and Donald O. Mueller, Spearfish, S.D.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, his parents, a brother, and three sisters.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Miller officiating.

Inurnment will be at the Black Hills National cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Theresa Falzerano

NEWELL - Theresa Falzerano, 68, Newell, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Lookout Memorial Hospital in Spearfish.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Falzerano, Newell; five children, Doug Falzerano, Anchorage, Alaska, Gerald Falzerano, Georgia, Warren Falzerano, Belle Fourche, Lorelie Barth, Canton, and Laura Fox, Newell; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, and for one hour before services Saturday, Dec. 8, at Assembly of God Church in Newell.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Barry Noor and the Rev. Mel Dietz officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Slope cemetery in Belle Fourche.

Mabel Etta Inghram

FAITH - Mabel Etta Inghram, 89, Faith, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Sturgis Community Health Care Center.

Survivors include one son, Ace Inghram, Faith; two brothers, Edgar Ramsey, Custer, and Bill Ramsey, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Ella Jo Quinn, Spokane, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Glen Inghram, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, and for one hour before services Friday, Dec. 7, at Community Legion Hall in Faith.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the hall, with the Rev. Harold Delbridge officiating.

Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Bear Butte cemetery in Sturgis.

Delyne Virginia Heinrich

WHITEWOOD - Delyne Virginia Heinrich, 67, Whitewood, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Kirkwood Manor in Pluma.

Survivors include four sons, Rick Heinrich, Whitewood, Allen Heinrich, Gillette, Wyo., and Kenny Heinrich and Bobby Heinrich, both of Cody, Wyo.; two daughters, Kathy Aldinger, Lead, and Julie Karlson, Whitewood; her mother, Esther Meidinger, Ellendale, N.D.; two brothers, Donnie Meidinger and Earl Meidinger, both of Ellendale; three sisters, Madella Scheffert, Oakes, N.D., Loretta Schulz, Edgely, N.D., and Betty Martin, Ellendale; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood, with the Rev. David Baer officiating.

Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Kinkade Funeral Chapel of Sturgis is in charge of arrangements.

Robert L. Gunwald

GLENDALE, Colo. - Robert L. Gunwald, 23, Glendale and formerly of Hot Springs, S.D., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at his home.

Survivors include his father, Lynn Gunwald, Artesia, N.M., and his mother, Barbara Sweetwood, Kennewick, Wash.

Arrangements are pending with Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel of Hot Springs.

Henry Hansen Sr.

WOONSOCKET - Henry Hansen Sr., 103, Woonsocket, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket.

Survivors include one daughter, Bernice Eddy, Woonsocket; one son, Henry Hansen, Rapid City; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Hannon, Yankton, and Margaret Kempf, Woonsocket; and one brother, Albert Hansen, Pittsburgh.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Basham Funeral Home in Woonsocket.

Visitation also will be held for an hour before services, which will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Woonsocket, with the Rev. Daryl Tompkins officiating.

Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Huron.

May Belle Myers

RAPID CITY - May Belle Myers, 95, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Black Hills Retirement Center in Rapid City.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Myers, Crawfordville, Fla., and James Myers, Ruffs Dale, Pa.; two daughters, Charlotte Wise, Rapid City, and Judy Meyer, Sturgis; one brother, George Blasdell, Highmore; one sister, Lorraine Abernathy; 30 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Robert Myers, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and for one hour before services on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Campbell, Paula & Quinn Funeral Home in Rapid City.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rob McClintock and Jean Rowland officiating.

Burial will be at Mountain View cemetery in Rapid City.

Minorvine Victor One Horn

KYLE - Minorvine Victor One Horn, 5 months, Kyle, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, in Pine Ridge.

Survivors include his mother, Tylene One Horn, Kyle; maternal grandparents Bill One Horn and Diane Eagle Elk, both of Kyle; and grandmother Justina One Horn.

One-night wake begins at 3 p.m. today at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Kyle.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the church, with the Rev. Willard One Horn and the Rev. Daniel Makes Good officiating.

Burial will be at the One Horn Family Plot in No Flesh Community, Kyle.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
