RAPID CITY - Kathleen "Katie" Hagan, 83, Rapid City, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynda Lyle, Aurora, Colo., and four grandchildren.

Her husband, Glenn Hagan, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, with a 7 p.m. Christian wake service, at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Rapid City, with the Rev. Michel Mulloy officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Calvary cemetery in Rapid City.

A memorial has been established to Minneluzahan Senior Citizens Center in Rapid City.

June Wethor

RAPID CITY - June Wethor, 76, Rapid City, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Wethor, Rapid City, and one daughter, Rita Pressler, Davenport, Iowa.

Arrangements are pending with Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home of Sturgis.

Margaret R. Wagner

RAPID CITY - Margaret R. Wagner, 84, Rapid City, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include her husband, John Wagner Sr., Rapid City; one son, John Wagner Jr., Rapid City; and one daughter, Kathleen Meyer, Torrance, Calif.

Arrangements are pending with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Gordon Chandler Roberts

PRAIRIE HOME, Mo. — Gordon Chandler Roberts, 80, Prairie Home and formerly of Rapid City and Hill City, S.D., died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Roberts, Prairie Home; three stepdaughters, JoAnne Kirk and Frances May Kile, both of Prairie Home, and Christina Acton, Hill City; one brother, Norman Roberts, Ramona, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Oct. 24, at William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville, Mo.

Masonic services will be at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bart Larson officiating.

Burial will be at Missouri Veterans cemetery in Higginsville, Mo.

Warren Arnold Sanve

FORT MEADE - Warren Arnold Sanve, 70, Fort Meade, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Sturgis.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Sanve, Oakley, Calif., and Steve Sanve, Rifle, Colo.; two daughters, Carol Frederick, Boulder, Colo., and Linda Downey, Parris Island, S.C.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis and from 8 a.m. to service time Thursday, Oct. 25, at the funeral chapel.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with Chaplain Paul Lupkes officiating.

Burial, with military honors by Sturgis Veteran Honor Guard, will follow at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.

Terence D. 'Terry' Hart

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Terence D. "Terry" Hart, 57, Scottsdale and formerly of Rapid City, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Darlaine Hart, Phoenix; one brother, Greg Hart, Rapid City; and two sisters, DeAnn Hart Winn, Austin, Texas, and Sonia Hart Yevich, Durham, N.C.

Memorial services were Saturday, Oct. 20,

Nicholas Pierre Leveque Jr.

STURGIS — Nicholas Pierre Leveque Jr., 47, Sturgis, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Nick had a very aggressive cancer that was fast-moving.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 24, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Larry Weidell officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte cemetery.

Nick was born November 27, 1953, at Deadwood, S.D., to Nicholas Pierre and Fay (Kuykendall) Leveque. He grew up in the northern Black Hills area. He graduated from Lead High School. He traveled in the construction business as a crane operator. Nick married Marie Richards on August 10, 1993, at Spearfish, S.D. They returned to Sturgis after his father's death to help run the family business. He became active in local politics and was a member of the Sturgis Area Business Alliance.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Leveque, Sturgis; his mother, Faye Leveque, Piedmont; one son, Nicholas Pierre Leveque III and his wife Sandy, Rock Springs, Wyo.; two daughters, Tabatha Rachelle Hale and her husband Tony, Rock Springs, Wyo., and Nicole Leveque, Sturgis; three brothers and their wives, Vic and Dawn Leveque, Sturgis, Mike and Diane Leveque, Sturgis, and Rick and Carla Leveque, Rapid City; four grandchildren, Kaila, Shaye, Nicholas IV, Kameron and one grandson soon to come; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His father in 1992, and one grandchild in 1998, preceded him in death.

Iva Beatrice Olson Kanis

MORRISTOWN — Iva Beatrice Olson Kanis, 95, Morristown, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Lemmon Nursing Home.

Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Arndt, Bismarck, N.D., Julie McDowell, Sioux Falls, and Joyce Akley, Rapid City; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 22, at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, and before services Saturday at Spencer Memorial Presbyterian Church in Lemmon.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with Lay Pastor Florence Hoff officiating.

Burial will be at Morristown cemetery.

John Scot Grace

HURON — John Scot Grace, 48, Huron, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center in Wessington Springs.

Survivors include one daughter, Heather Jo Grace, Ashby, Minn.; his mother, Mavis Grace, Huron; and two brothers, David Grace and Rick Grace, both of Huron.

Visitation with family present will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at First United Methodist Church in Huron, with the Rev. Richard Rinearson officiating.

Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens cemetery.

Donald Earl King

HOT SPRINGS — Donald Earl King, 69, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2001, at Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel in Hot Springs.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2001, at Black Hills National cemetery, with Chaplain Deb Geelsdottir officiating.

Don was born on January 17, 1932, at Ottumwa, Iowa, to Earl LeRoy and Mary S. (Twedell) King. He was raised in Ottumwa and later enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949. He married Patricia J. Curtis, and to this union five children were born, Donald J., Kelly, Monte, Tammy and Kristy. He served in the 2nd Infantry Division in the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart. He also served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1970, after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Survivors include his children, Donald J. King of Steamboat, Colo., Kelly S. Nelson of St. Paul, Minn., Monte King of Ottumwa, Iowa, Tammy (Mrs. Rodney) Estes of Yampa, Colo., and Kristy (Mrs. Nick) Fischer of Williamsburg, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, Kari, Lindsey, Jacob and Austin Nelson of St. Paul, Minn., Tara and Brittany King of Iowa, Casey, Holly, and Alex Estes of Colorado, and Tanner Riley, Bailey and Garrett Fischer of Iowa; and one great granddaughter, Jade L. Gervais of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel of Hot Springs.

Laudie Charles Urbanec

RAPID CITY — Laudie Charles Urbanec, 83, Rapid City and formerly of Dickinson, N.D., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Fort Meade Veterans Affiars Medical Center in Sturgis.

Survivors include his wife, Monica Urbanec, Rapid City; one son, Roger Urbanec, Black Hawk; one daughter, Jacquie McFadgen, Rosenberg, Texas; one brother, Joe Urbanec, Dickinson; one sister, Lillian Lisko, Dickinson; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, and for one hour before services Monday, Sept. 24, at Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church in Piedmont.

A rosary and Christian prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the funeral chapel.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Mark McCormick officiating.

Burial will follow at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.

Wayne F. Thompson

RAPID CITY — Wayne F. Thompson, 72, Rapid City, died at a Rapid City nursing home on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001.

Wayne was born on May 23, 1929, at Sinai, S.D., the son of Harry and Emma (Pederson) Thompson. He attended schools at Sinai and entered the Air Force in 1951. Wayne married Jean Thompson of Brookings, S.D., at Cheyenne, Wyoming, while serving in the Air Force. Wayne spent most of his adult life in the men's clothing business, working at Seeley's Men's Wear and Osborn's in Rapid City, and at Osborn's Clothing in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Wayne was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

Survivors include a son, Scott Thompson and his wife Betsy, Campbell, Calif.; two daughters, Tammy Haberstroh and her husband Jeff, Rapid City, and Cindy Thompson Jenks and her husband Mike, Mitchell, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Parducci, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Willard Thompson, Sioux Falls; and a grandson, Justin Thompson, Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hugh Thompson and Ralph Thompson; and a sister, Bonnie Overski.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. today, with family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to services on Friday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home, with Rev Mike Schultz officiating.

Interment, with military honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post 1273, will be at the Black Hills National cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Leslie Adolph 'Les' Iwan

WHITE RIVER — Leslie Adolph "Les" Iwan, 95, White River, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at Beverly Health Care Center in Pierre.

Survivors include two sons, Roland Iwan, White River, and Keith Iwan, Benson, Ariz.; two daughters, Ellen Valburg, Draper, and Joell Kerner, Winner; one sister, Ruth Heaton-Vanderkleed, Roubaix; 12 grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at United Methodist Church in White River.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Burial will be at White River cemetery.

Isburg-Hofmeister Funeral Chapel of Pierre is in charge of arrangements.
