Lowell Carl Dohn
Fort Worth, Texas - The funeral for Lowell Carl Dohn, 41, of Fort Worth and formerly of Eureka, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eureka Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Bergman will officiate.
Burial will be in the Bertsch Baptist Cemetery near Eureka with Carlsen Funeral Home in Eureka in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
He died of natural causes Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Baylor University Medical Center in Irving, Texas.
Harold 'Bud' Richard Seaton
Aberdeen - The funeral for Harold "Bud" Richard Seaton, 79, of Aberdeen will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Faith United Methodist Church, 503 S. Jay St. The Rev. John Baskins will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Riverside Memorial Park at a later date. Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
A public prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
He died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.
Harold Richard Seaton was born Aug. 24, 1923, to Jack and Olive (Bengs) Seaton in Aberdeen. He lived in Aberdeen and attended Garfield Elementary School. When the family moved to the Bengs homestead in Gem Township, he attended Happy Valley Country School. He also attended Roosevelt Junior High and Aberdeen Central High School, graduating in 1941. He then attended Northern State Teachers College.
He married Donna Bernice Young on Aug. 24, 1947, in Aberdeen. They lived on the homestead for 55 years. He sold crop and hail insurance for the John Sieh Agency.
He was known for raising and feeding sheep and was a director of the National Lamb Feeders Association and served as an advisor at the Howard Wyman Sheep Industry Leadership School in 1996 in Greeley, Colo. He belonged to the Sheep and Wool Association and the American Sheep Industry. He was a supervisor on the Gem Township Board. He was president of the United Family Farmers from 1985 to 1986. He was involved in water issues and helped organize the James River Watershed District. He was on the WEB Brown County Steering Committee.
He served in many positions at Faith United Methodist Church, including administrative chairman, lay delegate to conference, choir member, and building committee chairman. He was a member of the Flying Farmers. He enjoyed flying and began at a young age. He flew solo at age 13. He passed his medical at age 78 so he could continue to fly, which he did a week before his death.
Survivors include his wife of Aberdeen; four sons, Bob (Monica) Seaton of Warner, Ted (Mary Darling) Seaton of Miller, and Jon (Susan Kay) Seaton and Jim (Susan Gail) Seaton, both of Aberdeen; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
Casketbearers will be Oliver Erickson, Keith Larson, Dayle Luedeke, Walt Miller, John Weigel, Jeff Lee, Mark Caven and Bill Engelhart.
Elmer Henry Kramer
Northville - The funeral for Elmer Henry Kramer, 84, of Northville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Mansfield. The Rev. Wesley Hafner will officiate.
Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Thelen Funeral Home of Redfield is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
A prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
He died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
Elmer Henry Kramer was born Sept. 5, 1918, to Henry and Anna (Hoegermeier) Kramer at the farmhouse in Northville Township near Mansfield. He attended rural elementary school and graduated from Northville High School in 1937.
He married Eileen Dangel on Jan. 1, 1942, in Aberdeen. They lived and farmed in Northville Township. After retiring from farming, he worked for H.C. Clark Implement, Spink County Equipment and Kramp Construction.
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He taught Sunday school, served as elder and held many church offices. He was a member of the church choir and men's choir for many years. He served as Northville Township treasurer for 25 years and was a 4-H leader for 12 years.
He enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of Northville; three daughters, Janet (Odean) Dickerson of Madison, Nadine (Charles) Sparling of Athol and Nora (Steven) Kramp of Brentford; two sons, Larry (Gail) Kramer of Burnsville, Minn., and Merlin (Bernadine) Kramer of Northville; three sisters, Esther Haselhorst of Brooklyn Center, Minn., Elvina Haselhorst of Aberdeen and Arlis Bacon of Northville; 16 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Casketbearers will be his grandsons.
Marvin Schock
Ashley, N.D. - The funeral for Marvin Schock, 68, of Ashley will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley. The Rev. Jeff Giles will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley is in charge of arrangements.
A prayer service will be at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

He died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at the Ashley Medical Center.
Marvin Schock was born Oct. 17, 1934, to Phillip and Regina (Steinwandt) Schock northeast of Ashley in McIntosh County on the Schock homestead. This is where he grew up while attending country school. He helped on the family farm.
He married Mavis Landsiedel on Oct. 25, 1959, in Ashley. They made their home in Ashley where he worked at the Deep Rock Service Station and was a bus driver for Ashley Public School. In spring 1961 they purchased the Jacob Landsiedel farm 12 miles northeast of Ashley, where they were general farmers raising small grains, livestock and dairy. In 1997 they retired from farming. They moved into Ashley in January 1998.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he was a past church councilman. He was also a member of the Ashley Lion's Club, Coldwater Wildlife Club, Ashley Rural Fire Department and Opportunities Inc. He was a past member of the rural school board and Ashley Bowling Leagues.
Survivors include his wife of Ashley; one daughter, the Rev. Twila (Rev. Bill) Swanson of Wittenberg, Germany; and one brother, Matt Schock of Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
Agnes Tschakert
Florence - Agnes Tschakert, 82, a longtime Florence area resident died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Milbank.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Florence. The Rev. Greg Tschakert, the Rev. Doug Binsfeld, the Rev. Mike Wensing and other priests of the diocese will officiate.
Burial will be in the Esterly Cemetery near Florence with Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be prior to the service at the church.
Agnes Grygiel was born Feb. 6, 1920, to Martin and Cecelia (Senske) Grygiel in Ortley. She attended school at Blooming Valley Township School. She did domestic work for various families in Watertown.
She married Everett Tschakert on Nov. 10, 1948, in Watertown. They made their home in Florence where they were engaged in farming. He died Oct. 8, 1985. For many years she worked at the Florence Public Schools as part of the Green Thumb program. She became a resident at Country View Assisted Living facility in Florence in 2000 and had recently moved to Beverly Healthcare in Milbank.
She was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Florence and the parish altar society. She was also a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Watertown.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Patty) Tschakert of Florence, and Gregory Tschakert of Aberdeen; three daughters, Ann (Dale) Tuchscherer of Milbank, Marcia (Eric) Haakenson of Lake View, Iowa, and Valerie Tschakert of St. Cloud, Minn.; one brother, Leon Grygiel of Watertown; five sisters, Lou Darrington of Florence, Frances Korbel, Theresa Ries and Betty Hanten, all of Watertown, and Leona Murphy of Arlington; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
Casketbearers will be Jared Tschakert, Jeffrey Tschakert, John Hanten, Martin Murphy, Mark Ries and Tom Darrington.
Marcella Cecelia Gebhart
Louisville, Colo. - Mass of Christian burial for Marcella Cecelia Gebhart, 83, of Louisville and formerly of Faulkton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Faulkton. The Rev. Randy Phillips will officiate.
Burial will be in church cemetery with Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton in charge of arrangements.
A rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
She died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville.
Marcella Hardes was born Oct. 8, 1919, to Anton and Sophie (Schaefer) Hardes in Polo. She grew up on a farm near Polo and attended grade school at St. Liborius Catholic School. She attended high school in Faulkton and lived with the Tillie and Arnold Martinmaas family during those years. She graduated in 1937. After high school she returned to the farm near Polo and helped her brothers take care of their mother.
She married Erwin Henry Gebhart on March 8, 1942. They lived on a farm south of Faulkton for about two years and then moved to Faulkton in 1945, where they remained the rest of their married life. She was a bookkeeper in the family business for a few years as well as a homemaker. He died May 29, 1986. She moved to Boulder, Colo., in 1998 to be near her children.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Faulkton, sang in the church choir and taught Continuing Christian Development classes for 10 years.
She enjoyed gardening, golf, playing bridge and volunteer work.
Survivors include three sons, Charles E. (Lyda) Gebhart of Seminole, Fla., Thomas J. (Judy) Gebhart of Arvada, Colo., and Gerarld E. (Diane) Gebhart of Phoenix; two daughters, Gail P. (Tom) Shelby of Tucson, Ariz., and Virginia A. (James) Keeler of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, Joe Hardes of Miller; one sister, Mary Foerster of Brookings; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and four brothers.
Casketbearers will be Jonathon Gebhart, Jim Keeler, Nick Keeler, Michael Keeler, John Shelby and Steven Shelby.

Joe "Buzz" Draper Jr.
Watauga - The funeral for Joe "Buzz" Draper Jr., 65, of Watauga will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Watauga. The Rev. Kerry Prendiville will officiate.
Burial will be in the Watauga Cemetery. Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home of Lemmon is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church in Watauga.
He died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Joe Donald Draper Jr. was born Nov. 25, 1936, to Joe and Bertha (Bleth) Draper in McIntosh. He grew up and attended school in Watauga. He worked as a section laborer for the Milwaukee Railroad for 10 years.
He married Janice Haugen on May 30, 1959, in Mobridge. From 1962 to 1972 he worked on the Henry Munderloh ranch north of Watauga. In August 1972 they purchased the cafe and gas station in Watauga and named it Joe's Place. On Aug. 1, 2002, they celebrated 30 years in business.
He enjoyed attending auction sales and going to flea markets. He collected all types of antiques, many of which were native to the Watauga and surrounding area. He was an avid Packers, Celtics, Duke Blue Devils and Yankees fan.
Survivors include his wife of Watauga; two daughters, Julie Draper of Watauga and Janet (Daren) Kurle of Wishek, N.D.; three sisters, Violet Suggs, Russelville, Ala., Betty Lou Schell of McIntosh and Marge Erickson of Zap, N.D.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Casketbearers will be Benny Joe, Brad Schell, Brian Schell, Ricky Schell, Larry Sabin and Dennis Sabin.
Robert Wesley Maley
Verona, N.D. - The funeral for Robert Maley, 58, of Verona will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Verona. The Rev. David Isaacson will officiate.
Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery at Verona with military rites by Jones-Benoit American Legion Post No. 178. Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Oakes, N.D., is in charge of arrangements.
A prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died of natural causes on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at his home.
Robert Wesley Maley was born Sept. 17, 1944, to John Wesley and Berniece (McCann) Maley in Oakes. He graduated from Verona High School in 1963. He entered the U.S. Army in May 1965, serving in the Dominican Republic until May 11, 1967. He was active in the Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1971. He worked road construction until he opened Bob's Bar in Verona, which he owned and operated until 1987.
He married Deb Gemar on Jan. 11, 1973. He received his certificate in electronics from Southeast Vocational Center in Oakes. He managed the Oakes American Legion Club until starting to work at the Verona elevator in 1994, where he was manager at the time of his death.
Survivors include one son, Wesley Maley of Verona; three daughter, Reva (Chad) Bohnenkamp of Oakes, Angie (Tim) Bollinger of Monango, N.D., and Monica Maley of Gwinner, N.D.; two brothers, John "Jackie" Maley of Seattle and Gerald "Jerry" Maley of Fargo, N.D.; three sisters, Cookie Jensen of Fargo, Lois Hill of Spearfish and Mary Nelson of Oakes; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Casketbearers will be Craig Maley, Jerrod Sandness, Ryan Hill, Travis Maley, Cory Sandness, Broch Hill, Jason Maley and Tyler Nelson.
