He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James “Jimmy” Schuh.

In lieu of an eulogy, Curt had written a letter to be shared with the many people he held dear to his heart. Curt writes:

“In life, we often experience times we cannot predict. Excitement when we least expect it, and turmoil when you thought that day was so well planned.

I’ve found that music is the equalizer, and oddly enough, even though ‘a sad song will sometimes make you cry, ’ the outlet is necessary for a smile to break through. If we look at tears being the window to happiness, maybe we wouldn’t be so afraid to show that wonderful side of us that makes us special human beings.

As the years pass in my life and I realize a lot of the things I placed as important really aren’t so, and that the things taken for granted, like love, laughter, hugging and simple one-on-one conversations with someone you love, have become my life. I’m a very LUCKY man to have lived my life with so many extraordinary people. Their influence has directed me to areas I know I wouldn’t have gone without them.

What is really sad, is that no matter how long I live, I will never be able to give back all of what I’ve received. Seems sort of unfair.

It won’t be for lack of trying I assure you!

So--to my friends that I love--Thank you for sharing your life with me--Hopefully, I’ll prove to be worthy to you!

Written on a day when I had too much time on my hands and wanted to reflect!”

Services were held Tuesday, November 21, at First American Lutheran Church in Tripp. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Goglin Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be sent at www.goglinfh.com.
