RAPID CITY — Evelyn V. Allen, 89, Rapid City, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include one niece, Charlene Doolittle of Rapid City.

Arrangements are pending with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Duane A. Due

PIERRE — Duane A. Due, 64, Pierre, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, in Pierre.

Survivors include three daughters, Theresa Broski, Pierre, Mary Graham, Billings, Mont., and LuAnn Prellwitz, Willow City, N.D.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Dolly Schoonover, Roulette, N.D., Lorraine Peterson and Marian Nerpel, both of Dunseith, N.D., Helen Petersen, Mohall, N.D., and Joann Vigness, Alexander, N.D.; and one brother, Morris Due, Wellington, Colo.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Isburg Hofmeister Chapels in Pierre.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pierre. Burial will be in Pierre.

Glenn L. Walden

CUSTER — Glenn L. Walden, 90, Custer, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Custer.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel in Custer.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis, with the Rev. Bill Savery officiating.

Mary Lou Hodgin Weniger

DENVER — Mary Lou Hodgin Weniger, 76, Denver, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at home.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Weniger, Denver; one son, Douglas Weniger, Denver; four daughters, Cheryl Kovar, Conifer, Janice Tedrow, Arvada, Diane Vajgrt, Omaha, Neb., and Myra Suppeland, Parker; one brother, Theron Hodgin, Sioux Falls, S.D.; sisters, Lorena Murphy, Rapid City, Shirley Novak, Chamberlain, S.D., Rita Strong, Wauwatosa, Wis., and Vivian Gillings, Academy, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.

Services were Friday, Sept. 7, at St. James Catholic Church in Denver. Burial was at Mount Olivet cemetery in Wheatridge.

Myron Matusiak

RAPID CITY — Myron Matusiak, 69, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Rapid City, died Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 2001, at Fort Meade Army Medical Center.

He was born May 25, 1932 in Pukiw, Ukraine, and came to the United States at the age of 20, where he joined the United States Air Force shortly after. He served under General Ellsworth as his enlisted aide. After retiring from the military, he worked for Rushmore Homes and at EAFB Packing and Crating as a civilian employee.

He married Delores Greenwood in1956 in Rapid City.

He is survived by his loving wife, Delores; mother-in-law, Albertina Greenwood, Rapid City; son, Ronald of Rapid City; daughters, Susan of Bahrain and Linda of Rapid City; sons-in-law, Tom Berger and Terry Brewer; daughter-in-law, Christine Matusiak; grandsons, Christopher Matusiak, Jon Matusiak, Sean Ireland, Ryan Matusiak and Brenden Berger; granddaughters, Amanda Foltz and Sarah Brewer; great-grandsons, Cody and Zion Foltz; and nephews, Lance, Todd and Jay Kneer of Seattle, Wash., Robert and Rita Bowman, and Richard and Cecelia Bowman, all of Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alexij; mother, Natalia; brother, Walter; sister, Nancy; and baby, Kelly.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, at Behrens Mortuary.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Bill Paepke officiating.

Burial will follow at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be sent in honor of Myron to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Dorothy M. Baird Allen

RAPID CITY — Dorothy M. (Baird) Allen, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Dorothy lived most of her life in the Redfield area until spending the last two years with her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Leland Harms, in Raymore, Mo. Recently, she moved to Wesleyan Health Care Center in Rapid City.

Dorothy devoted her life to her family, her teaching career, music and community service. In 1975, she was honored as "Outstanding Woman of the Community" by the Redfield Jaycettes. While serving on the city council, she oversaw the expansion and improvement of the Redfield cemetery. She was on the original committee that sought WEB water for Redfield.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her parents; her brothers Paul Baird and Kent Baird; and her sisters Elva (Baird) Higgins, Helen (Baird) Battey, Martha (Baird) Johnson and infant sister Ruth Baird.

Survivors include two sisters, Doris Horton, Aberdeen, and Edna Johnson, Redfield; her brother H. Clark Baird and his wife, Mary Ellen, Beresford; her son, Clayton Allen, and his wife, Pat, Gillette, Wyo.; her daughters, Vivian Hamling and her husband, Donald, Rapid City, and Doris Harms and her husband, Leland, Raymore, Mo.; nine grandchildren and their families, R. Dean Allen, Redfield, Daniel Allen, Des Allemands, La., Sherie Jo Poche, Ama, La., Christina Triche, Des Allemands, La., Christopher Allen, Spearfish, Cynthia Johnson and her husband, Glen, Rapid City, Carol Layton and her husband, Wayne, Rapid City, Timothy Harms and wife Laurie, Kansas City, Mo., and Sonya (Harms) and husband Mark Peterson, Ames, Iowa; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous adored nieces and nephews and their families, including Richard and Shirley Battey, Rapid City; and beloved stepfamily members.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Burial will be at the Redfield cemetery. A memorial will be established.

Harold A. Fuhrer

WINNER — Harold A. Fuhrer, 83, Winner, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Fuhrer, Winner; one daughter, Jacqueline Duncan, Mission, Texas; one son, Richard Fuhrer, Gayville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Chaney, Buena Park, Calif.

Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. today at Mason Funeral Home in Winner, with a prayer service and Masonic and Eastern Star services at 7 p.m.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at United Methodist Church in Winner.

Burial will be at Winner cemetery.

Ernest Guy Robbins

RAPID CITY — Ernest Guy Robbins, 92, Rapid City, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include one son, David Robbins, Wasella, Alaska; one daughter, Phyllis Gladback, Mendon, Mo.; three sisters, Mildred McDermott, Eleanor Hiatt and Beulah Mack, all of Rapid City; two brothers, Charlie Robbins and Rollie Robbins, both of Rapid City; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Mountain View cemetery in Rapid City, with the Rev. Tom Hagger officiating.

Behrens Mortuary of Rapid City is in charge of arrangements.

Jane M. Williams

RAPID CITY — Jane M. Williams, 51, Rapid City, left this world to be with "Our Father" on Sept. 11, 2001.

Jane Marie Jangula was born on Feb. 20, 1950, at Bismarck, N.D., the daughter of Adam and Angie (Fischer) Jangula. She lived in Zeeland, N.D., before moving to Rapid City at the age of 13. She graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1968. She married Don Angerame on Nov. 21, 1970, and to this marriage her greatest joy in life was born, a daughter, Annette Marie.

She married Kenny Williams on Aug. 28, 1982.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Annette Angerame; a granddaughter, Bethany Marie; her parents, Adam and Angie Jangula; a sister, Shirley Schumacher, and her husband, Gary; a brother, Kenny Jangula, and his wife, Mary; three nieces, Karri Corrin and her husband, Dan, Angela Lockwood and her husband, Chad, and Jaida Jangula; one nephew, Jesse Jangula; and special great-nieces Lindsey and Jenna Corrin, all of Rapid City; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially those at the Jackson Heights highrise.

Jane's life was spent with the pain of diabetes. She is now free and in the "arms of God." She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Her love for her family on earth will be forever in our hearts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at the Blessed Sacrament Church, with Rev. Michel Mulloy presiding.

Inurnment will be at the Mount Calvary cemetery.

Services are under the direction of the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Waldo Lee 'Scotty' Scott

WATERTOWN — Waldo Lee "Scotty" Scott, 86, Watertown, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at a local hospital.

Survivors include three sons, John Scott, Watertown, Dick Scott, Fort Worth, Texas, and Dale Scott, Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mary Velau, Rapid City; one brother, Robert Scott, Olympia, Wash.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. Scripture service, at Wight and Fox Funeral Chapel in Watertown and before services Friday, Sept. 14, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. John Lantsberger officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery in Watertown.

Pearl Cocking

RAPID CITY — Pearl Cocking, 89, Rapid City and formerly of Lead, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Black Hills Care Center in Rapid City.

Survivors include two nieces, Beverly Bergstrom, Whitewood, and Margaret Curnow, Lead.

Arrangements are pending with Fidler Funeral Chapel of Lead.

Eleanor Jeanne Richards

RAPID CITY — Eleanor Jeanne Richards, 67, Rapid City, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanie Anderson, Rapid City, and Laurie Schick, Peoria, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Winifred 'Winn' Weaver

EDGEMONT — Winifred "Winn" Weaver, 87, Edgemont, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs.

Arrangements are pending with Rooks-McColley Chapel of Hot Springs.

Iva B. Kanis

MORRISTOWN — Iva B. Kanis, 95, Morristown, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.

Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Arndt, Bismarck, N.D., Julie McDowell, Sioux Falls, and Joye Akley, Rapid City.

Arrangements are pending with Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home of Lemmon.

Howard Spray Jr.

HOT SPRINGS — Howard Spray Jr., 47, Hot Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, in Hot Springs.

Survivors include his parents, Howard Sr. and Delores Spray, Lake Andes; and one sister, Geraldine Case, Sioux City, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel in Hot Springs, with the Rev. Gary Warren officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Hot Springs.

Calla Madge Sullivan

SPEARFISH — Calla Madge Sullivan, 94, Spearfish, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at David M. Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Sullivan, Jacksonville, Fla., and John Sullivan, Willmar, Minn.; and two daughters, Marlys Sell, Billings, Mont., and Darlene Clasemen, Elsberry, Mo.

Arrangements are pending with Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home of Spearfish.
