Richard Martin 'Dick' Schnell
HOT SPRINGS - Richard Martin "Dick" Schnell, 75, Hot Springs, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Sturgis.
Survivors include one sister, Elaine Mann, Spokane, Wash.
He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1946 and was honorably discharged.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Friday, May 10, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Gary Oreshoski officiating.
Burial will follow at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.
Frances Hohn
PLANKINTON - Frances Hohn, 84, Plankinton, died Monday, May 6, 2002.
Survivors include four daughters, Marlene Rollins, Salem, Ore., Norma Sauvage, Plankinton, Judy Jeffery, Fridley, Minn., and Pat Kulm, Selby; seven sons, Denis Hohn and Mike Hohn, both of Plankinton, Fred Hohn and Roger Hohn, both of Sioux Falls, Rick Hohn, Selby, Curtis Hohn, Aberdeen, and Darrell Hohn, Deadwood; 36 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. Scripture reading, at St. John's Catholic Church in Plankinton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Will Funeral Chapel of Mitchell is in charge of arrangements.
Nedra A. Foust
RAPID CITY - Nedra A. Foust, 63, Rapid City, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include four sons, Daniel Foust and Willard Foust, both of Rapid City, Joe Foust, Bowling Green, Ky., and John Foust, Piedmont; two sisters, Irene Olson, Belle Fourche, and Delores Harrison, Eau Claire, Wis.; and one brother, Bill Schnitger, Fort Meade.
Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.
Ward E. Wickham
CUSTER - Ward E. Wickham, 89, Custer, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Colonial Manor in Custer.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Wickham, Custer; one son, Raymond Wickham, Custer; one daughter, Irene Wenzel, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; two adopted sons, Delbert Wickham, Cordova, Alaska, and Chandler Wickham, San Martin, Calif.; one brother, Virgel Wickham, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Margorie Chasteen, Wheatland, Wyo.; 14 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Rooks-McColley Funeral Chapel in Custer.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Custer Community Church, with the Rev. Gary Warren officiating.

Robert Joseph ‘Bob' Lodge
STURGIS — Robert Joseph "Bob" Lodge, 82, Sturgis, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Marion Lake and Irene Lodge, both of Rapid City; and eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, and one hour before services Wednesday, July 3, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Zandri officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard will be at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis.
Karen M. Konstant
MILBANK — Karen M. Konstant, 64, Milbank, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Sheldon Konstant, Milbank; two daughters, Sheryl Mann, Montevideo, Minn., and Karla Dagel, Watertown; five sons, Marlin Konstant, Michael Konstant and Jason Konstant, all of Spearfish, Gary Konstant, Watertown, and Chad Konstant, Sioux Falls; two sisters, Joyce Schultz, Ortonville, Minn., and Audrey Ehnes, Denver; two brothers, Loren Dahlgren, Strandburg, and John Dahlgren, Ft. Collins, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank, and one hour before services at the church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank, with the Rev. Mark A. Erickson officiating. Burial will be at Milbank City cemetery.

PINE RIDGE - Kayla Lou Matthews, 17, Pine Ridge, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Minneapolis.
Survivors include her parents, Leon and Belva Matthews, Pine Ridge; one sister, Tami Matthews, Pine Ridge; and one brother, Brad Matthews, Pine Ridge.
A one-night wake will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Gospel Fellowship Mission in Pine Ridge, with the Rev. Earl Hedlund and the Rev. Harold Ambrose officiating.
Burial will be at the Brown Eyes family plot in Slim Buttes.

Richard Lee 'Rick' Offdenkamp
UPTON, Wyo. - Richard Lee "Rick" Offdenkamp, 54, Upton and formerly of Harvey, Ill., died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Taunya Offdenkamp, Upton; four children, Tracy McCoy, Millersville, Md., Dawn McCabe, Columbia, Md., Taunya Faxon, Gillette, and Jack Faxon, Upton; two brothers, John Offdenkamp, Sundance, and W. Michael Offdenkamp, New Lenox, Ill.; one sister, Juli Edwards, Salt Lake City; and four granddaughters.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, with family viewing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Fidler Funeral Chapel in Sundance.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 1, at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Richard Clair officiating.
Burial, with military honors by Sturgis Honor Guard, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis, S.D.
William L. Sigafoos
ST. CROIX FALLS, Wis. - William LeRoy "Bill" Sigafoos, 68, St. Croix Falls and formerly of Hot Springs, S.D., died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in St. Croix Falls
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Sigafoos, St. Croix Falls; one daughter, Kathleen Roder, St. Croix Falls; one son, Robert Sigafoos, St. Croix Falls; six grandchildren; his mother, Margaret Sigafoos, Hot Springs; two brothers, George Sigafoos and Charles Sigafoos, both of Hot Springs; and one sister, Yvonne Taylor, Hot Springs.
Services will be Monday, July 1, in St. Croix Falls.
Joseph G. Riggs
BELLE FOURCHE - Joseph G. Riggs, 64, of Belle Fourche, passed away Sunday evening at his Belle Fourche Home.
Following Joe's wishes, his body was cremated and will be inurned at a later date at Fort. Logan National cemetery near Denver with full military honors. Local arrangements are entrusted to the Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.
Joseph G. Riggs was born December 28, 1937, at Denver, Colorado, to Joseph C. and Helen (Bailey) Riggs. He served in the US Marine Corps from February 1955 until February 1959. He later served in the U.S. Army from March of 1964 until December of 1964.
Joe was a concrete specialist, and will especially be remembered for the concrete work done in downtown Belle Fourche.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his children, Jon and Monica Riggs of Laguna Niguel, California, and Stephanie and David Silver of Lakewood, Colorado; granddaughters Alena and Julia Riggs; sister Wanda Schuft of Belle Fourche; and sister-in-law Marie Hawkins of Denver.
His parents and one brother, David Hawkins, preceded him in death.
Earl Allen Pyle
SPEARFISH - Earl Allen Pyle, 76, Spearfish, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Sturgis.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pyle, Spearfish; one son, Lee Pyle, Albany, N.Y.; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
Services were held Friday, June 28, at Black Hills National cemetery near Sturgis, with the Rev. Dwight Peterson officiating.
Emma M. Schroeder
RAPID CITY - Emma M. Schroeder, 98, Rapid City, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at a local nursing home.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Ehlers and Lois Vogele, both of Rapid City, and Corinne Kleespie, Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.
Doris Louise Cox Beach
ANNISTON, Ala. - Funeral services for Doris Louise Cox Beach, 75, of Anniston, will be Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beach died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include daughters, Carolyn De La Garza and husband Charles De La Garza of Yorktown, Va., Patricia "Shelly" Salmon and husband George Salmon of Anniston, Ala.; son, William D. Beach of Rapid City, South Dakota; sister, Nancy Hearn of Marianna, Florida; grandchildren, Scott McDaniel, Kimberly McDaniel, George Edward Salmon, Robb De La Garza, Melissa Vititoe, Amanda De La Garza, and Brandon De La Garza; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Scott McDaniel, Robb De La Garza, Brandon De La Garza, George Edward Salmon, Chad Vititoe, and Kenny Bowers.
Mrs. Beach was a native of Hillsboro, North Carolina and formerly worked as a civil service employee in Washington, D.C. in her early life. She was a resident of Rapid City, S.D. for forty years where she and her husband were the owners of Beach Enterprises and were members of the First Church of Christ Scientists. Mrs. Beach was a resident of Anniston for the past four years where she currently attended the First United Methodist Church of Anniston. She was a founding charter member of the Anniston Chapter of PEO, a philanthropic educational organization for women, and was a patron of the Knox Concert Series. Mrs. Beach was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Beach of Rapid City, S.D./Anniston, Ala.; one sister, Ellen Bivins and one brother James Cox of Hillsboro, N.C.
