Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Anderson, Rapid City; two daughters, Juanita Schnabel, Morton, Ill., and Diane Byram, Rapid City; two sons, Lannie Anderson, Custer, and Joel Anderson, Black Hawk; one sister, Arlene Deide, Huron; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

William R. 'Bill' Morrison
AINSWORTH, Neb. - William R. "Bill" Morrison, 62, Ainsworth, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at his Rapid City home.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa, Ainsworth; one daughter, Trina Delgado, Garden City, Kan.; one son, Andrew Morrison, San Diego; his parents, William and Helen Morrison, Edgemont, S.D.; one brother, Jim Morrison, Rapid City; two sisters, Rhonda Gillispie and Lola Trotter, both of Edgemont; and three grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, with the Rev. Peter Kovarik and Deacon Pat Coy officiating. A second service will be Thursday, May 16, in Ainsworth. Burial will be at Grandview cemetery in Long Pine, Neb.
Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City is in charge of arrangements.
Lawrence J. 'Larry' Bernard
BELLE FOURCHE - Lawrence J. "Larry" Bernard, 62, Belle Fourche, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Bernard, Belle Fourche; seven children, Tom Bernard, Chadron, Neb., Tim Bernard, Alliance, Neb., Shawn Fiddler, Las Vegas, Marsha Anderson and Misti Blanford, both of Spearfish, Dusti Bernard, Florance, Ariz., and Brittnie Gage, Ogallala, Neb.; four brothers, Robert Bernard, Chadron, John Bernard, Elk Point, Jerry Bernard, Vermillion, and Bill Bernard, Hot Springs; two sisters, Mary Lou Olson, Sioux City, Iowa, and Patricia Olson, Vermillion; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home in Spearfish, with the Rev. Ron Garry officiating.
Inurnment will be at Rose Hill cemetery in Spearfish.

Frank Louis Galligo
RAPID CITY - Frank Louis Galligo, 69, Rapid City, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Galligo, Rapid City; three sons, Frank Galligo, Doyle Galligo and John Galligo, all of Rapid City; two sisters, Julia Savely of New Plymouth, Ohio, and Carol Tubbs, Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

Carol Kay Jeffords
KADOKA - Carol Kay Porch was born on January 15, 1941, in Pierre, South Dakota, the daughter of Cyrus Porch and Dorothy (Hockenbary) Porch.
She attended school in Hisle for four years before moving to Kadoka, where she graduated from high school in 1959.
After graduation she married
the love of her life, Steve Jeffords, on May 23, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota. To this union were born three beautiful daughters, Teri, Stephanie, and Janine. Carol and Steve lived in Kadoka all their married
life, where they built and operated the Husky truck stop, a furniture store, and currently manage the Kadoka Standard.
Carol also operated the Creative Cottage, a ceramic shop, for several years with her friend, Jeanne Uhlir.
Carol was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Kadoka.
Carol was an inspiration to all who knew her. Carol loved and lived life even throughout her illness. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother.
Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Steve Jeffords of Kadoka; daughters, Teri and her husband Don Clay Word of Belvidere, and their four children, Audra, Laura, Elizabeth and Clayton, Stephanie Rodgers and her husband Gib of Wessington, South Dakota, and their two children, Rebecca and Kaleb, and Janine Verschoor and her husband Jim of Rapid City, and their daughter Allison; her mother, Dorothy Porch of Kadoka; four brothers, Stanley Porch and his wife Shirley of Wanblee, Boyd Porch and his wife Pat of Kadoka, Ralph Porch and his wife Diana of Wanblee, and Roger Porch and his wife Lois of Philip; her mother-in-law, Marjorie Jeffords of Kadoka; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Cyrus Porch, on November 15, 1977, and her father in-law, Max Jeffords.
Carol Kay (Porch) Jeffords went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 14, 2002, after a six and one-half year courageous battle with breast cancer.
Funeral service for Carol Kay Jeffords, age 61, of Kadoka, will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002, at the Kadoka City
Auditorium, with Pastor Gary McCubbin officiating.
Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Kadoka, and one hour preceding the services at the auditorium.
Interment will be in the Kadoka cemetery.
A memorial is established.

WHITE RIVER - Harold Deiss, 67, White River, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Deiss, White River; two sons, Cliff Deiss, Gillette, Wyo., and Jim Deiss, White River; two daughters, Carol Robinson, Rapid City, and Janet Jensen, Augusta, Kan.; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Clara Mueller, Rapid City.
A prayer service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, at United Methodist Church in White River.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at White River Community Events Center.
Burial will be at White River cemetery.

SPEARFISH - LaVonne Dahl, 60, Spearfish, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Sturgis Community Health Care Center.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Dahl, Spearfish; her parents, Reed and Martha Simon, Spearfish; one son, Rusk Dahl, Spearfish; one daughter, Carol Garr, Grandview, Texas; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Marilyn Benting, Cambridge, Minn., May Trost, Wanamingo, Minn., and Valerie Ulrich, Faribault, Minn.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 17, and from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday, May 18, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Martin officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery in Spearfish.
A memorial has been established.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Higgins, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one stepson, Elby Crandall, Rapid City; and one stepdaughter, Verla Jung, Jamestown, N.D.

SPEARFISH - Savilla Mae Morrison, 87, Spearfish, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at David M. Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Vernon Morrison, Spearfish; one son, David Morrison, Hereford, Ariz.; one sister, Bonnie Hansen, Black Forest, N.C.; and two brothers, Leslie Bates, Black Forest, and Lyndon Bates, Mitchell.

Sarah Belt-Brave
OGLALA - Sarah Belt-Brave, 92, Oglala, died Monday, May 13, 2002, in Pine Ridge.
Survivors include four daughters, Dora Brave, Red Shirt Table, and Verna Yellow Horse, Georgianna Brave and Regina Brave, all of Oglala; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A one-night wake will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Brother Rene Catholic Hall in Oglala.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Church in Oglala, with the Rev. Bill Pauly, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel cemetery in White River.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis Lee Seely Graves
BURLINGTON, Wash. - Phyllis Lee Seely Graves, 78, went to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2002. She was surrounded with friends and family in Burlington, Washington.
Phyllis was born to Frank and Mamie Seely on October 27, 1923, in Grindstone, South Dakota. She married
Ray Graves in October of 1961. After several moves they made their home in Hillsboro, Oregon, where Phyllis drove school bus for seventeen years and eventually retired. She and Ray shared a love for traveling both by car and by motorcycle. She had a great sense of humor and a love for life. She loved her family and friends and she will be missed greatly.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Frankie; her husband Ray; two daughters, Nancy Lee and Kay Dean; and son Bruce.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Kim Hand of Oregon, and Kim's three children; a stepdaughter, Judy Adkins of Day Creek, and Judy's children and grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma and Don McNaughton of Spokane, WA, and Twyla and John Brink of Burlington, WA; a sister-in-law, Berniece Aarstad, also of Burlington; five nieces; and two nephews.
A service celebrating Phyllis' life will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at Burlington Lutheran Church in Burlington, Washington.
