COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Kenneth R. Hardy, 75, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Dodson Branch cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 11, and from 7-10 a.m. on Friday at Whitson Funeral Home.
Mr. Hardy died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 8, 1933, in Jackson County to the late Daniel and Ruthie Belle Hawkins Hardy.
Mr. Hardy was a member of Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. He was a quality engineer at Mallory Controls.
His family includes his wife, Janice Mee Hardy of Cookeville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Rhonda Hardy of Cookeville and Jason and Jessica Hardy of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Haley, Kyleigh, Jacob and Janna Hardy; and a special niece, Sherry Wester of Cookeville.
Bro. Ronnie Dunn will officiate at the services.
Sherron Norrod
MONTEREY _ Funeral services for Sherron Norrod, 54, of Hanging Limb, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will be in F.A. Norrod cemetery in Hanging Limb.

SPARTA -- Funeral services for Lonnie Douglas Davis, 73, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, in Kindred Hospital in Nashville.

Jack Wilkins Mills
COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Jack Wilkins Mills, 76, of Cookeville, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Paran United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Paran cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 2 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
Mr. Mills died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at his residence.
He was born April 27, 1932, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Wilton E. and Frances Spinks McIntosh.
He was owner and operator of Mills Linen Service and a member of Paran United Methodist Church.
Mr. Mills served in the Marines during the Korean War and received the Bronze Star. He was on the board of directors of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Mr. Mills was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps Association, the National Rifle Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Korean War Veterans Association.
His family includes his wife, Barbara J. Allen Mills of Cookeville; a son, Forrest W. Mills of Cookeville; two half brothers, Hal and Larry McIntosh, both of Birmingham; and two grandsons, Addison and Gabe Mills.
Pallbearers will be Ted Webb, Bill Shreckengost, Sam Greenwood, David Stamps, Bill Amat, Harold Ferguson and Wade Adkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paran United Methodist Church Sunday School class.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
David Sauer, Jim Rogers and Eddie Turner will officiate at the services.
David Ray Fields
COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for David Ray Fields, 57, of Gainesboro, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home.

Thomas Lafayette Buckner
INDIANA -- Funeral services for Thomas Lafayette Buckner, 83, of Anderson, Ind., will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson, Ind., (765)643-7474. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Buckner died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Countryside Manor, after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Monterey to the late Andy D. and Ida K. Wilson Buckner.
Mr. Buckner was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, taking care of friends and family and playing the card games Euchre and Rook with friends and family. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE No. 174 and was a member of the UAW Local 663. He was a resident of Anderson since 1943.
Mr. Buckner was employed in production at the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1985.
His family includes three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce Morris, Kathy and Kirk Spaulding and Janice and Mark Harlan; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sarah Buckner Sr. and Johnny Buckner; a sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Floyd Phillips; sisters-in-law Peggy, Betty Lou, Linda (Shelb) Tina and Betty Ann; grandchildren Angela Self, Antonio Lankford, Andrea Burkett and husband Mark, Ronald Morris Jr. and wife Tara, Andrea Buckner, Felicia Willis, Anya Dixon, Shawn Buckner and wife Jessica, Christopher Buckner, Jerry Buckner Jr. and wife Lindsey, James Buckner, Jennifer Buckner, Bethanie A. Spaulding and Stephanie A. Spaulding; grand dog Abraham; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Farler Buckner; two daughters, Judith Ann Vaughn and Mary Jane Buckner; a son, Kelvin Dale Buckner; a son-in-law, Ronald D. Morris; four sisters, Lillie Hargas, Louise Buckner, Della Shuck and Tina (Cutie) Van Winkle; two brothers, Andy Vernanus and Jesse James Buckner; several in-laws; and three grand dogs, Jake, Billy and Precious.

LIVINGSTON -- Graveside services for Eugene C. Turner, 79, of Livingston, were held today, Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. at Mayland cemetery.
Mr. Turner died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Livingston Regional Medical Center.

John Earl Staggs
COOKEVILLE -- John Earl Staggs, 67, of Cookeville, died Saturday, Aug. 29, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 4, 1942, in Lake Villiage, Ark., to the late John and Vinnie Jones Staggs.
Mr. Staggs was a veteran of the Navy, where he retired as a structural mechanic.
His family includes his wife, Shirley Dallas Staggs of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tony Taylor of Sparta; a son, J.C. Staggs of Newbern; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Sherry Staggs of Sparta, Bobby and Janie Staggs of Statesboro, Ga., and Don and Elise Staggs and Gary and Lisa Staggs, all of Caraway, Ark.; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty Prance of Caraway, Patsy and Allen Fike and Sue Staggs, all of Jonesboro, Ark., and Glenda and Billy Womble and Sherrie and Scott Kirkland, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a granddaughter, Haley Taylor of Sparta.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Staggs was preceded in death by a sister, Judie Wallice.

Amy Boles Wooley
LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Amy Boles Wooley, 38, of Rickman, will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Paran cemetery in Rickman.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wooley died Sunday evening, Aug. 30, 2009, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1971, in Livingston to Mary Lou Sidwell and the late Jerry Boles.
Mrs. Wooly was a former employee of TRW.
In addition to her mother, her family includes her husband, Russell Wooley; a son, Ethan Richards; a daughter, Emily Wooley; two stepdaughters, Laura Keedy and Jessica Angel; a sister and brother-in-law Ada and Matthew Pryor; a brother, Jonathan Cushard; four aunts, Johnnie Brown, Robbie Johnston, Paula Roberts and Theda Eldridge; an uncle, Benny Sidwell; a nephew, Alec Pryor; eight cousins, James Hastings, Jenny McBroom, Joey Eldridge, Greg and Kevin Brown, Nancy Johnston, Suzanne Follacchio and Landon Johnston; her grandmother, Clara Sidwell; and more friends than anybody could have.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Wooley was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sibyl Boles, and two grandfathers, Herchel Boles and Ben Sidwell.
Pallbearers will be Robert (Goose) Hollaway, Jimmy Bean, Greg and Brian Copeland, Jimmy and Cody Waddey, Bo Reed and Kenny Melton.
