Paul Murray
Services for Mr. Paul Bailey Murray, 40, of Dickson, are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001 [today], at Pomona Baptist Church in Dickson with Brother B. Carter Elmore, Chip Leake and Charles Lowry officiating. Burial follows in Dickson’s Union cemetery.
A native of Dallas, Texas, born to John Allen Murray, of Oak Leaf, Texas, and the late Rose Lander Murray, Mr. Murray died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Minister of music at Pomona Baptist Church, he was a member of that church.
In addition to his father, Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Angel Dunn Murray, of Dickson; a son, Jacob Alexander Murray, of White Bluff; a daughter, Julia Megan Murray, of White Bluff; a brother, John A. Murray Jr., of Los Angeles, Calif.; aunts and uncles, Glenn and Sue Murray, of Bowie, Texas, Ben and Billie Murray, of El Paso, Texas, David and Linda Lander, of Midlothian, Texas, and Dot and Jerry Drake, of Fort Worth, Texas.

David Mynatt
Services for Mr. David Mynatt, 32, of Charlotte, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Brother Robert Cullom and Rev. Duane Cowan officiating. Burial followed in Dickson’s Union cemetery.
A native of Dickson County, Mr. Mynatt died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A licensed contractor and owner of the Mynatt Home Construction Co. in Charlotte, he was a member of the Charlotte Fagan United Methodist Church, the Charlotte Lions Club, and the Charlotte Fire Department. He was an avid bowler and bowled in various leagues.
Mr. Mynatt is survived by his mother, Laura J. Anderson, of Nashville; grandparents, Cleborne and Sue Worke, of Charlotte; an aunt, Martha N. Gerber, of Las Vegas, Nev.; an uncle and aunt, John and Patricia Mynatt, of Nashville; cousins, Bonni and Max Gerber, of Nevada, Julia Gerber, of Nevada, Marcie Mynatt, of Nashville, Nicole Mynatt, of Georgia, and Corrine Mynatt, of New York; and two great-aunts, Rebecca Potts, of Livonia, Mich., and Louise Garrett, of Dickson.
Romie Staggs
Services for Mr. Jason Romie Staggs, 26, of McEwen, were 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Marvin Potts officiating. Burial followed in Williams cemetery in White Bluff.
A native of White Bluff born to Romeo Staggs, of White Bluff, and the late Deborah Lynn Holman Staggs, Mr. Staggs died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Staggs is survived by his wife, Jennifer Joy Staggs; a half-brother, Eric; a half-sister, Gina; and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie Sutton
Services for Mr. Charles Eugene (Charlie) Sutton, 92, were 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial followed in Southerland cemetery in Dickson County.
A native of Dickson County born to the late William and Chattie Belle Jackson Sutton, Mr. Sutton died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Royal Care Nursing Home in Erin. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Mr. Sutton is survived by five generations of nieces and nephews.
George Barnett
Services for Mr. George Marshall Barnett, 72, of Bosco Bel Drive in Nashville, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in the Fairview chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Frank Tennyson officiating. Burial followed in Old New Hope cemetery in Fairview.
Mr. Barnett died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Barnett is survived by his former wife and friend, Barbara Jean Haskins; two daughters, Bonnie Mae Flair, of Fairview, and Margie Sue Barnett, of Nashville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jimmy Daugherty
Services for Mr. Jimmy Wesley Daugherty, 52, of White Bluff, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in the White Bluff chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Reese Cochran officiating. Burial followed in Liberty cemetery in Charlotte.
Mr. Daugherty died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in Nashville.
Mr. Daugherty is survived by a son, Jody Daugherty Tittle; a stepson, Dane Tittle; three brothers, Gerald Connie and Terry Homer Daugherty, both of White Bluff, and Johnny Pack, of Charlotte; three sisters, Doris Pack, Patricia Williams, and Janell Furlough, all of White Bluff; and two grandchildren.
William Frazier
Services for Mr. William Joseph Frazier, 74, of Bon Aqua, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Fred Donaldson officiating. Burial is in Aitkin, Minn.
Mr. Frazier died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Miss.
Mr. Frazier is survived by a son, Michael Frazier Johnson, of St. Louis; a daughter, Cynthia Frazier Womace, of St. Louis; six brothers, Boyd, Donnie and Ronnie Frazier, all of Hohenwald, Robert Wesley Frazier, of Paris, and Jerry and Bobby Frazier, of Moultrie, Ga.; nine sisters, Maxine Holt, of Shelbyville, Louise Prince, Dorothy Christy, and Martha Hamm, all of Hohenwald, Shirley Lindsey, of Albany, Ga., Wanda Sullivan, of Cornersville, Mable Henson, of Waynesboro, Linda Floccari, of Summertown, and Sandra Deal, of Bon Aqua; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Jewel Shelton
Services for Mr. Jewel Jackson Shelton, 83, of White Bluff, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Robert Cullom and Rev. Horace Perkins officiating. Burial follows in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
A native of Dickson County born to the late Ransom and Beulah Dean Shelton, Mr. Shelton died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Serving in the U.S. Navy, he was a veteran of World War II. An accomplished machinist, he was an instructor at Frank G. Clement Vocational-Technical School in Dickson. He was retired from Mallinckrodt in Raleigh, N.C., where he was manufacturing superintendent over plastics, and received a patent recognition award for his design of a carrier for fragile containers. Mr. Shelton served on the board of trustee at Goodlark Regional Medical Center, was a member of the American Legion and a member of the White Bluff Methodist Church.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Lizzie Steele Fussell Shelton, of White Bluff; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Nelson Russell, of Mobile, Ala.; a granddaughter, Nancy Rutledge, of Dickson; and a great-grandson, Avery Rutledge, of Dickson; a brother and sister-in-law, Felix and Mary Shelton, of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline Shelton
Services for Mrs. Pauline Holt Shelton, 88, of Huntsville, Ala., and formerly of Dickson, were 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Jay Bybee officiating. Burial followed in Dickson’s Union cemetery.
A native of Montgomery County born to the late Wiley and Lula Duke Holt, Mrs. Shelton died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her home in Huntsville. A retired machine operator, she was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Shelton.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by a brother, Charlie Holt, of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Florence Keele, of Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews, including Dr. Bernard B. Keele Jr., of Blowing Rock, N.C.

Born to Tom and Donna Spencer, of Burns, Miss Spencer died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002.
In addition to her parents, Miss Spencer is survived by two brothers, Robert Spencer and Justin Spencer; grandparents, B.G. and Dorothy Cagle, Margaret Spencer, and Tom and Janice Spencer Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and four pets, Hank, Roxy, Cosmo, and Gizmo.
Erby Thomas

A native of Davidson County born to the late Eugene Thomas and Myrtle Donegan Thomas, Mr. Thomas died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at his home. A carpenter, he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Lillian Thomas, of Bon Aqua; two daughters, Resa and Rita Kay Thomas; two stepdaughters, Sandy Corbitt, of Bon Aqua, and Tammy Creech, of Lyles; a sister, Barbara Paris, of Nashville; and three grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Lanius and Katlin Mangrum.
Albert Tidwell
Services for Mr. Albert Leon Tidwell, 81, of Bon Aqua, were 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at New Hope Baptist Church in Hickman County with Brother James Parham officiating. Burial followed in Harpeth Hills cemetery in Nashville.
A native of Hickman County born to the late Henry and Eliza Jane Overbey Tidwell, Mr. Tidwell died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. A retired machinist for the former Schrader Automotive Parts in Dickson, he was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and the song leader.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Burniece Beard Tidwell, of Bon Aqua; two daughters, Marian T. Pendergrass and Phyllis T. Spicer, both of Bon Aqua; a brother, Herchel Tidwell, of Bon Aqua; a sister, Agnes Biter, of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Barry S. Pendergrass, Angela Charlton, Stacy Spicer, and Brent Spicer; and seven great-grandchildren, Hannah Pendergrass, Gabrielle Charlton, Andrew Spicer, Zachary Charlton, Matthew Charlton, Audrey Spicer, and Hope Pendergrass.
Clem Tucker
Services for Mr. Clem Edgar Tucker, 86, were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Burial, with full military honors, followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
A native of Fulton County, Ky., born to the late Benjamin Franklin and Nannie Purdy Tucker, Mr. Tucker died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at National Health Care Center in Dickson. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 30 years service, he was a 32nd Degree Mason of Killeen, Texas, Lodge 1125, a Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shriner.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Eileen Slevin Tucker, of Bon Aqua; a son, Jackie L. Tucker, of Bon Aqua; a niece, Helen Brown, of Indiana; two grandchildren, William Alan Tucker and Tracey Lee Smith; two step-grandchildren, Brent and Gary Fowlkes; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Tucker.
