Funeral services for Miss Imogene Lankford, 89, are 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003 at Dickson Funeral Home. Brother Lewis Bratton will officiate. Burial follows at Union cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Dickson Funeral Home.
Miss Lankford was born in Dickson County, Tenn., on Oct. 17, 1914. She was a retired beautician and a member of First Baptist Church in Dickson. She died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at NHC Health Care Center.
Survivors include nieces, Gail (Phil) Jones of Dickson, Tenn., Rose (Bob) Muir of Young Harris, Ga., Meredith (Jim) Byrne of Tucson, Ariz.; nephews, Gary (Gracie) Gentry of Dickson, Tenn., and Jim (Merrice) Chandler of Rotunda West, Fla.; sister, Cora Merrick of Tucson, Ariz.; several great nieces and nephews.
Her parents, Arthur Jerome and Maudie Meek Lankford, sisters, Lurline Meek Chandler, Mary Gentry and Alice Lankford, and brother, Arthur Lankford, preceded her in death.

Destiny Miller Mathis
Graveside services for infant Destiny Miller Mathis, born Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 in Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., are noon Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003 at Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Infant Mathis, daughter of Lisa Miller and Michael Mathis, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 in Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include mother, Lisa Miller and father, Michael Mathis, both of Dickson, Tenn.; brothers, Kyle Mathis, Allan Morgan and Aaron Morgan all of Dickson, Tenn.; grandparents, Wayne and Lynn Mathis of Dickson, Tenn., Harold and Virginia Miller, also of Dickson, Tenn.

Phillip Garcia Turner
Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Garcia Turner, 43, were 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn., with Rev. Tommy Horner officiating.
Interment followed in East Dickson cemetery.
Mr. Turner, a native of Dickson, Tenn., died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003 in Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. He was a former employee with State Industry, Fiesta Grill and Tennsco. He was a 1979 graduate of Dickson County High School. He was a member of Bowman Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include parents, Clarence and Althea Jackson Turner of Dickson, Tenn.; six children, Marquita Woodard, Phillip Woodard and Kendrick Woodard all of Clarksville, Tenn., Kaniya Turner and Cecilia Griffen, both of Dickson, Tenn., Felicia Brazzel of Athens, Tenn.; brothers, Keeaf A. (Lisa) Turner and Ivan D. (Terri) Turner, both of Dickson, Tenn.; sisters, Shirley (Harry) Bell and Marjorie (Donnie) Dobbins of Dickson, Tenn., Ada Pearle (Sam) Gordon of Pegram, Tenn.; cousins, Joe L. and Ora Turner; uncles Eli (Wilene) Jackson; aunts, Flossie Bell Sweat and Lillie Irene Springer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
His uncles and aunts, Cliff and Edna Turner, Elihue and Torie Turner, Della Evans, and Hattie Williams, cousins Harry Evans, Jimmy Sanders, and grandfather, Isreal Jackson, preceded him in death.

James D. Bryan
Mr. James D. Bryan, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003.
He was a resident of White Bluff, Tenn.
There will be no visitation as Mr. Bryan’s wishes were to be cremated.
A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements handled by Spann Funeral Home.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Curtis of White Bluff, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Sarah Reeves of Mississippi, Jay Bryan of New York, Beau Bryan of McEwen, Tenn., Chris Bryan of Alabama, Jennifer Hooban of Nashville, Tenn.; one great-grandchild, Gavin Bryan of McEwen, Tenn.
His wife, Nancye Bryan, and son, David Bryan, preceded him in death.

James D. Bryan
Memorial services for Mr. James D. Bryan, 83, were Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at Soaring Eagle Baptist Church.
Brother Joe Case officiated.
Mr. Bryan was born in Coffee County, Ala., March 7, 1920.
He died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003 at Horizon Medical Center.
He lived in White Bluff, Tenn. at the time of his death.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Curtis of White Bluff, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Sarah Reeves of Mississippi, Jay Bryan of New York, Beau Bryan of McEwen, Tenn., Chris Bryan of Alabama, Jennifer Hooban of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Gavin Bryan of McEwen, Tenn.
His wife, Nancye Bryan, son, David Bryan, and his parents, Jessie and Mary Caraway Bryan, preceded him in death.

Charles Melvin Carr
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Melvin Carr, 43, were 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at New Hope Baptist Church in Dickson, Tenn. Reverend Matthew Lester officiated. Interment icon followed in East Dickson cemetery.
Arrangements handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Carr, a native of Dickson County, Tenn., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 in Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. He was a supervisor with Tennsco for 15 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and a deacon.
Survivors include wife, Jennifer Turner Carr of Dickson, Tenn.; sons, Charles Carr, Joey Carr and Michael Carr, all of Dickson, Tenn.; daughter, LaTonya Carr of Dickson, Tenn.; brothers, Doug Carr, Allen Carr, and Isaiah Carr of Dickson, Tenn., Ralph Carr of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Georgia James and Gloria Wigfall, both of Nashville, Tenn., Channie Huddleston, Betty Hannah and Mary Bromell, all of Dickson, Tenn.; several nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
His parents, George E. and Pearlie Mai Williams Carr, preceded him in death.

John Robert Grimes
Funeral services for Mr. John Robert Grimes, 38, were 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at Dickson Funeral Home. Reverend Alexander Gatson officiated. Interment icon was in Worley Furnace cemetery. Memorials can be made to the John Grimes Scholarship Fund.
Mr. Grimes, born in Dickson County, Tenn., on Oct. 1, 1965, died Thursday Nov. 6, 2003 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a factory worker for Fiesta Gas Grills in Dickson. A 1987 graduate of Dickson County High School, John was a graphic artist and was awarded Employee of the Month in 2001 at Fiesta Grill Company.
Survivors include brothers, Eddie Ray Grimes and Timothy Grimes of Dickson, Tenn.; sisters, Ida Pearl Grimes, Sarah Turner, Rosetta G. Harmon and Eddie Jean Anderson, all of Dickson, Tenn., Donna Harmon of Nashville, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of devoted friends and co-workers.
His parents, Ed and Beatrice Evans Grimes, preceded him in death.

Mary E. Hampton
Funeral services for Ms. Mary E. Hampton, 91, were 11 a.m., Monday Nov. 10, 2003 at Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church. Reverend Evans officiated. Interment icon followed at Rock Springs cemetery.
Ms. Hampton died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include daughters, Grace H. Proctor of Charlotte, Tenn., and Brenda Evans of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Mark Proctor, Amy Faught, Jeff Evans, Lee Evans, and Ben Evans; seven great-grandchildren, Nash Faught, John Mark Faught, Katie Evans, Lance Evans, Anna Evans, Emily Evans and Connor Evans.

Vernon J. Nesbitt
Funeral service for Mr. Vernon J. Nesbitt, 34, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003 at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn., with Rev. Reginald Ward officiating. Interment icon followed in East Dickson cemetery.
Mr. Nesbitt, a native of Dickson, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 in Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. He was an employee of Detailed Cars and a member of Stone’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include father, Thomas Nesbitt of Nashville, Tenn.; mother Margaret Newsom of Nashville, Tenn.; fiancé, Cynthia Primm of Charlotte, Tenn., daughter Vernecia Primm also of Charlotte, Tenn.; sisters, Joslyn Newsom of Nashville, Tenn., Gwendolyn Newsom also of Nashville, Tenn.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Joseph C. Teston
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph “Joe” C. Teston, 73, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Reverend Billy Ray Bateman will officiate. Burial follows in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mr. Teston died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn. A native of Sylvania, Ga., he was the son of the late John Carl and Mai Williams Teston. Mr. Teston was retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in unit E-7. He served in the army for 20 years. He was a member of Pomona Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Burgess Teston of Dickson, Tenn.; two sons, Steve Teston and Michael Joe Teston, both of Dickson; daughter, Barbara Gail Teston McKellar, also of Dickson; three brothers, Ed Teston, Martin Teston and Doug Teston, all of Sylvania, Ga.; three sisters, Sue Stout, Sophie Waters and Mildred Watson, all of Sylvania, Ga.; three grandchildren, Christopher Teston, Crystal McKellar and Carrie Ramsey; and a great-grandchild, Patrick Niener.

Robert Wade Trotter
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wade Trotter, 67, were 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Steve Lannom officiated. Remains were cremated.
Mr. Trotter, born in Montgomery County, Tenn., July 22, 1936 died on Nov. 6, 2003 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. He was a painter. He served in the Air Force and Army and was a member of Iron Lodge #503, Masonic Lodge in Cumberland Furnace, Tenn.
Survivors include wife, Goldie Lightner Trotter of Dickson, Tenn.; sons, John Edward Trotter of Lyles, Tenn., Timothy Wade Trotter of Dickson, Tenn., William Patrick Fitzgerald Trotter of Dickson, Tenn.; daughter, Kimberly Trotter of Dickson, Tenn.; brothers, Jack Trotter of Erin, Tenn., James Edward Trotter of Melbourne, Fla., William R. Trotter of Charlotte, Tenn.; sisters, Alice Mason of Cunningham, Tenn., Mary Slettia Meek of Clarksville, Tenn.
His son, James Gilbert Trotter, and his parents, Elige and Ila G. Potts Trotter, preceded him in death.

José Luis Albarran Colin
Mr. José Luis Albarran Colin, 20, born in Taluca, Mexico, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 in Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. His remains were forwarded to Mexico. Funeral services and burial were held in Mexico. Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include mother, Maria Colin Ramirez; father, Julian Albarran Hurtado; brother, Ruben Albarran Colin, all of Mexico; sister, Silvia Albarran Colin of Dickson.
