Howard Milton Heath Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Howard Milton Heath, Sr., 62, were 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bros. Eddie Tomas, Mike Crews and Ralph Hamilton officiating. Interment icon followed in Rock Springs cemetery.
Mr. Heath Sr. of Charlotte, Tenn. was born on June 26, 1941 in Dickson County, Tenn. He died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was retired from the Cigna Insurance Company and accounting and insurance business. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.
Survivors include his mother Ms. Beatrice Brinkley of Tullahoma, Tenn.; son, Howard Milton Heath Jr. and wife Linda of Charlotte, Tenn.; daughter, Stephanie Brown and husband John of Madison, Tenn.; brothers, James Troy Brinkley of Smyrna, Tenn. and Robert and wife, Rita Brinkley of Tullahoma, Tenn.; sister, Carolyn and husband, Charles Parks of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brittany and V.J. Anthony and Zachary Howard Heath all of Charlotte, Tenn. and Alec Brown of Madison, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thoda F. Heath and wife, Hattie Lou Heath.

Maggie Nola Tanner Heggie
Funeral service for Mrs. Maggie Nola Tanner Heggie, 98, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Brother Harold Batson officiating. Interment icon followed in the Waynick cemetery.
Mrs. Heggie, a homemaker, born in Houston County, Tenn., died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 in Dickson County Nursing Home. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Boyd Heggie and wife Sandra of Burns, Tenn.; her six daughters, Marion Davidson, Helen Heggie, Eunice Burgess, all of Dickson, Tenn., Ruby Gambel of Slayden, Tenn., Gustia Ross of Lincoln Park, Mich., Edith Smith of Ft. Smith, Ark.; two brothers, Arthur Tanner and Clyde Tanner, both of Tennessee Ridge, Tenn.; 36 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hillman Heggie and her parents, Will Tanner and Minnie Blankenship Tanner.

Claudia Earlaine Kelley
Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia Earlaine Kelley, 47, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 at the Old Path Baptist Church in Fairview with Bro. Thomas Sullivan officiating. Remains were cremated. Arrangements made by Dickson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kelley of Nashville, Tenn., was born on Nov. 26, 1956 in Davidson County, Tenn. She died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004. She was a homemaker and a retired registered nurse. She was an animal lover and enjoyed working with arts and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Kelley of Brentwood, Tenn.; sons, Alex Kelley and Michael Kelley, both of Brentwood, Tenn.; brothers, Charles Hudgins of Avon, Ind., Ross Hudgins of Fairview, Tenn., Randy Hudgins of Tallmadge, Ohio, and Thomas Hudgins of Fairview, Tenn.; special aunt, Mary Hale of Fairview, Tenn.; cousin, Mary Green of Fairview, Tenn.; great cousin, Eugene Green, who is serving in the U.S. Navy in Italy; special nephew, Ken Holt of Lebanon, Tenn.; sisters, Linda Storey of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Sandra Civils of Brentwood, Tenn.; great-great aunt, Maggie Moran Curtis of Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charles Hudgins and Claudia Jones Skelton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Williamson County Humane Society.

Harold Dean Miller
Funeral services for Mr. Harold Dean Miller, 62, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Brother Craig Bell officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mr. Miller, a native of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 in Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. He was a truck driver for 40 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ollis Miller of Dickson, Tenn.; one son, Jamie Miller and his wife, Starla, of Dickson, Tenn.; one daughter, Connie Booker and her husband, Joe, of Dickson, Tenn.; two brothers, Ernest Miller of Dickson, Tenn., and Kenneth Miller of Michigan; one sister, Linda Lykins of Mich.; seven grandchildren, Justin, Kaci, Katie, Jared, Alan, Aaron and Jason.
His parents, William and Louise Wall Miller, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of your choice.

Sheila Diane “Deeie” Richardson Miller
Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila Diane “Deeie” Richardson Miller, 47, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Bro. Jesse Denton officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Miller, a homemaker, born in Warren, Mich., died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 in Horizon Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Miller of Vanleer, Tenn.; her son, Dereck Miller of Dickson, Tenn.; her daughter, Casey Miller of Vanleer, Tenn.; two sisters, Sandra Kay Morton and Marilyn “Cookie” Burgess, both of Dickson, Tenn.; one brother, Daryl Gene Richardson of Tennessee City, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Jackson Richardson and Pearl McCord Richardson; a brother, Robert Richardson.

Katie Elizabeth Nichols
Funeral services for Ms. Katie Elizabeth Nichols, 55 were 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. Interment icon followed in East Dickson cemetery.
Ms. Nichols, a homemaker born in Nashville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at her home. She was a member of the Original Church of God.
Survivors include her sons, James L. Forbes of Chipley, Fla., Brandon D. Forbes of Whiteville, Tenn.; one daughter, Christal L. and husband, Zenneth Howard of Madison, Tenn.; father, Robert L. Nichols of Dickson, Tenn.; four brothers, Robert S. Nichols of Tampa, Fla., Charles H. Nichols and David E. Nichols, both of Dickson, Tenn., and Fred J. Nichols of Nashville Tenn.; four sisters, Margaret L. Sanders, Virginia H. Russell, and Brenda J. Thompson all of Dickson, Tenn., and Lola A. Donovan of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kenneth W. Howard Jr., Nicholas L. Calvin, and Jayla L. Pillar; several nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Lovella Lewis Nicholas.

Mack Reed
Funeral services for Mr. Mack Reed, 79, were 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating. Interment icon followed at Williams cemetery.
Mr. Reed of Dickson, Tenn. was born on Sept. 13, 1924 in Cheatham County, Tenn. He died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at Veterans Hospital. He was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Eloyce Reed of Dickson, Tenn.; son, Mike and wife, Lois Reed of Dickson, Tenn.; brother, Marshall and wife, Estelle Reed of White Bluff, Tenn.; sisters, Dean Holt of Bon Aqua, Tenn., Catherine Puryear of Dechard, Mai Gibson of Nashville, Tenn., Ester and husband Cotton Sesler of Dickson, Tenn., and Hester and husband Ken Mans of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Chris and wife Syndi Reed of Maylene, Ala. and Ron who is serving in the US Marine Corps in Camp Lejune, N.C. and wife, Rachel Reed of Jacksonville, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Tatum and Karli Reed of Maylene, Ala. and Gabby, Isaac and Sarai Reed of Jacksonville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Beulah Story Reed.

William Dale Sullivan
Funeral services for Mr. William Dale Sullivan, 54, were 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Bro. Calvin Parker officiating. Interment icon followed in the Sullivan cemetery.
Mr. Sullivan, a native of Dickson County, Tenn. died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 in Horizon Medical Center. He was an Engineer Assistant with Greater Dickson Gas Authority. He was a Vietnam United States Marine Corp. Veteran. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and a life member of VFW Post 4641. He was a member of Brown’s Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Sullivan of Dickson, Tenn.; three daughters, Tammy and husband, Butch Spicer of Charlotte, Tenn., Alisha Sullivan of Nashville, Tenn., Ashley Sullivan of Dickson, Tenn.; mother, Lucille Sullivan of Dickson, Tenn.; sister, Marilyn and husband, Les Wade also of Dickson, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kalyn Spicer, Noah Spicer and Eli Spicer; two nephews, Will Wade and Olin Baker.
He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Sullivan.
Dale established and contributed greatly to the Sullivan Military History collection at Dickson County Sr. High School Library. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Amercain Heart Association or any local school library or to Brown’s Chapel Church of Christ.

Mary Lola Thompson
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lola Thompson, 85, were 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Medley officiating. Interment icon followed at Union cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson of Dickson, Tenn. was born on Feb. 11, 1918 in Hickman County, Tenn. She died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at NHC Health Care Center in Dickson, Tenn. She was retired form Red Kap Industries and a member of First Baptist Church of Dickson.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Lampley and Brenda Brown, both of Nashville Tenn.; brothers, Ammon Stinson of White Bluff, Tenn. and Walker Stinson of Michigan; sisters, Margaret England of Dickson, Tenn. and Corinne Beard of LaVergne, Tenn.; special friends, Dorothy Bradshaw and Maggie Winstead; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Maude Stinson, husband Hiram Thompson, brothers, Robert and AW Stinson and by a sister, Imo Gentry.

Bessie Lee White
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Lee White, 103, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Rev. Roy West and Rev. Dave Deerman officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mrs. White, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 in National Health Care Center in Dickson. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Louise Gilmore of Dickson; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Nesbitt White and her parents, James Walter Lee and Dorcas Proctor Lee.

Bobby Ronald Barnett
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Ronald Barnett, 64, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Lankford officiating. Interment icon will follow in Hilltop cemetery in Hickman County, Tenn.
Mr. Barnett died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 in Horizon Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Buttrey Barnett of Burns, Tenn.; two sons, Ronald E. Barnett of Jackson, Tenn. and Benjamin Barnett of Burns, Tenn.; three daughters, Bonnie Stringer and her husband, Kerry of Fairview, Tenn.; Lisa Lankford and her husband, Mike of Dickson, Tenn.; Donna Schleicher and her husband, John of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one brother, Billy C. Barnett of Dickson, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Johnathon, Joshua, Jacob, Johnna, Sarah, Justin and Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Barnett and Ercie Mae Brewer Barnett.

Ernest Ray Groves
Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Ray Groves, 82, were 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Cruise officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Groves of Charlotte, Tenn., died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Survivors include wife, Joy Berry Groves of Charlotte, Tenn.; son, Les Groves of Charlotte, Tenn.; daughter, Marline Proctor of Charlotte, Tenn.; brother, Glendon Groves of Clarksville, Tenn.; grandchildren, LeeAnn Groves of Charlotte, Tenn., Jeff Proctor of San Antonio, Texas, Rachel Bobo of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Holly Proctor; and step-great grandson, Gabriel Burkman.
Mr. Groves was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Melinda Christy Groves, grandson, Steve Proctor and brother, R. C. Groves.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Diabetes Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
