Paul Clayton Primm
A tribute was held for Mr. Paul Clayton Primm, age 72, of Camden, Tenn. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004 at Stockdale-Malin Chapel with Brother Larry Woodruff officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens. Nephews of Mr. Primm served as Pallbearers. They were Gary Livingston of Athens, Ala., Glen Livingston of Kingsport, Tenn., Roger Haskins of Flint, Mich., Bernace Harwell of Camden, Tenn., Frankie Curtis of Camden, Tenn., and Danny Earnhardt of Camden, Tenn., Honorary Pallbearers included Calvin Primm, David Primm, Mark Bishop, Sammy Hood, Ryan Hall, Johnny Patton, Roger Teague, David Frazier, Leslie Hicks, Stacey Baker, Harold Herrin, Gary Griggs, Dennis Cain, Mr. Primm’s Sunday school class as well as all the men of Cowell’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mr. Primm passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at his residence, Twin Oaks Farm, in Camden, Tenn.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1931 in Decatur County to the late Isaac Paul and Pollie Patton Primm. He retired in 1992 after 38 years of service as Assistant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for the Tennessee Valley Authority, New Johnsonville, Tenn.
He was a member of Cowell’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Primm, Olian Primm, John Primm, and Louis Primm and sister, Emease Haskins.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Kelly Primm, whom he married 52 years ago on Dec. 25, 1951, and daughters, Karen (Allen) Eaves of Camden, and Pattye Post of Dickson, Tenn. Mr. Primm was the proud grandfather of four grandson: Brian Scott (Robin) Watson of Bartlett, Tenn., Joshua Allen Paul Eaves of Camden, Tenn., James Andrew Post of Dickson, Tenn., and Adam Wesley Post of Dickson, Tenn., three great-grandchildren, Constance Renee and Breanna Kaye Watson of Bartlett, Tenn.; sisters, Evelyn (Gordon) Livingston of Clinton, Tenn., and Lois (Jack) Cripe of Otterbein, Ind., as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie Ray Sharp
Memorial services for Mr. Ronnie Ray Sharp, 58, were 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating.
Mr. Sharp was born in Davidson County, Tenn., on Jan. 7, 1946, and lived in Bon Aqua, Tenn. He died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a retired auto salesman from the Nashville area.
Survivors include mother, Mrs. Cornelia May Sharp of Bon Aqua, Tenn.; wife, Cathy S. Sharp of Brentwood, Tenn., daughter, Shannon Rae Sharp of Brentwood, Tenn., brothers, Hershel B. and Wayne D. Sharp, both of Bon Aqua, Tenn., Steven D. Sharp of Enterprise, Ala., sisters, Martha Jean Harper of Bon Aqua, Tenn., and Billie Reding of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
His father, Hershell Eugene Sharp, preceded him in death.

Iva M. Tucker-Vick
Funeral services for Mrs. Iva M. Tucker-Vick, 83, were 2 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2004 in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach. Burial was at Dickson Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Iva M. Tucker-Vick, of Nashville, Tenn., died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at Baptist Hospital. She was born in Dickson, Tenn., on June 22, 1920 and was a homemaker.
Survivors include Fred M. Vick, Jr. of Nashville, son-in-law, J.C. Tidwell of Dickson, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Alice Charlene Tucker of Burns, Tenn.; step-daughters, Kitty Hill of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Dana Copen of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Ola Cambridge of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Mr. Oliver Crumwell and Annie Pearl Gentry Spicer, her husband, Wayman Tucker, son, Wilford Sherrill Tucker, daughter, Maxine Elai Tidwell and brother, Ezra Spicer, and sister, Vallie Lewis preceded her in death.

Clarence Monroe Corlew
Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Monroe Corlew, 82, of Waverly, Tenn., were 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at Luff Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Rev. David Spencer officiated. Burial followed in Richlawn cemetery in Waverly.
Mr. Corlew died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. A native of Charlotte, Tenn., he was the son of the late James W. Corlew and Lucy Corlew. He was a retired pipe fitter for DuPont in Old Hickory. He was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served in World War II.
Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Corlew, of Waverly, Tenn.; brother, J.W. Corlew, of Charlotte, Tenn.; sisters, Hybernia McMillan, Anna Katherine Miller, both of Charlotte.

Jack Dempsey Eppes
Funeral services for Mr. Jack Dempsey Eppes, 65, of Southside, Tenn., are 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 in the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. David Mackens officiating. Interment icon follows at Ryes Chapel cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Mr. Eppes died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 at Centennial Medical Center.
Survivors include wife, Sharon Norene Eppes of Southside, Tenn.; sons, Dennis Eppes of Southside, Tenn., Ernest Eppes of Clarksville, Tenn. and Jim Brown of Kansas; daughters, Patricia Herrell of Southside, Tenn., Joey Eppes of Dickson, Adda Brown of Wisconsin, MeShell Flynn of Jackson, Tenn., Twila Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C.; brothers, Daniel Eppes of Clarksville, Tenn., George Eppes of Southside, Vernon Eppes of White Bluff, Tenn. and Harris Eppes of Southside; sister, Mary Ellen Bulle of Southerside; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Billy Joe Owen
Memorial services for Mr. Billy Joe Owen, 72, are 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Brother Steve Baggett and Brother Bob Gardner will officiate.
His remains were donated to Meharry Medical School for science. Taylor Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Owen died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. His parents, Floyd Leamon and Mary Nell Heflin Owen, preceded him in death. He was a retired restaurant manager for Krystal, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, who served in the Korean War, and a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include wife, Betty Owen of Dickson; daughters, Desiree Bradford of Dickson, and Angie Owen of McEwen, Tenn.; brothers, Ray Owen of Huntsville, Ala., Ralph Owen of Las Vegas, Lloyd Owen of Lexington, Tenn.; sister, Mary Nell Richie of California; five grandchildren, Misty Garrett, Daphney Paul, Shannon Travis, Jeremiah Bradford and Levi Bradford; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice.

Samuel Beasley Chew
Mr. Samuel Beasley Chew, 71, of Dickson, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at NHC Health Care in Dickson.
Remains are in care of the Dickson Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. A memorial service will be held in May of 2004.
Mr. Chew was the owner of the Piccadilly Club. His parents, Robert Eugene Chew and Clara Mai Bowker Chew, and a sister, Marie Lannom, preceded him in death.
Survivors include brother, Leslie Chew of Woodbury, Ga.; sisters, Lucille Lamastus of Dickson, Nellie Mai Murin of Hawaii; special niece, Judy Cunningham of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry R. Christy
Graveside services for Mr. Larry R. Christy, 48, of Dickson, Tenn., were 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at Hilltop cemetery in Hickman County. Spann Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Christy died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a welder.
Survivors include father, M.L. Carr, and stepmother, Josephine Carr, of Lyles, Tenn.; wife, Deborah Jean Christy of Dickson; sons, David Christy of Alabama, Michael Christy of Dickson; daughters, Nancy Christy, Catisha Quinn, Angela Theodore, all of Alabama; stepdaughter, Brandy Gates of Alabama; brothers, William Christy, Franklin Christy, James R. Christy, all of Dickson; sisters, Anita Pewitt, Evelyn Webster, Teresa McFarlin, Betty Conners, Beverly Odom, all of Dickson; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Loretta Daniel
Funeral services for Miss Loretta Daniel, 86, were 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2004 at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Brother Jeff Williams officiated. Burial followed at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Belltown cemetery in Cheatham County.
Miss Daniel, a native of Cheatham County, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at Metro General Hospital in Nashville. Her parents, Edward Lee and Inez Jackson Daniel, four sisters and two brothers, preceded her in death. She was a retired clerk in the family-owned Daniel’s Grocery. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include brothers, Walter Daniel of Kingston Springs, Tenn., Charlie Daniel and his wife, Estelle, of Nashville; sister, Georgia Mae Milan and her husband, Arestus, of Nashville; devoted niece, Bessie Hannah of Dickson; devoted friend, Earline Shearde of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosie Mai Pelham Fussell
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Mai Pelham Fussell, 92, of Dickson, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home. Brother Joel Plunkett and Brother Bobby Boyd officiated. Burial followed in Rock Church cemetery.
Mrs. Fussell died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. A native of Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Pelham and Bertha Mai Pelham. Her husband, James Arnold Fussell, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Billy Fussell and his wife, Kathryn, of Charlotte, David Fussell and his wife, Beverly, of Dickson; daughter, Joyce Loggins and her husband, Robert, of Dickson; sisters, Betty Petty of Dickson, Georgie Fern Knapp of Nashville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Janet Street Howard
Memorial services for Mrs. Janet Street Howard, 38, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2003 at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Rev. Tommy Street officiated. Private entombment followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Howard died at home after a lingering illness. She was a member of the Baptist Church and an office manager for the Credit Bureau of North America.
Survivors include husband, Bart William Howard; parents, Jeanette and Rev. Tommy Street; sister, Joni Sensing Thompson; brothers, Joel (Joey) Street and his wife, Wanda, Jonathan Street and his wife, Rhonda; Bart’s family, Kathy Herbert and her husband, Crockett, Jennifer Murphy and her husband, Greg, Whitney Levine and her husband, Asher, and Blake Howard; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County, 410 Eno Road, Dickson, Tenn., 37055.

Maggie Sue Curtis Lomax
Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Sue Curtis Lomax, 86, of McEwen, Tenn., are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 at Luff Bowen Funeral Home, in McEwen. Rev. Jim Fields will be officiating. Burial follows in McEwen cemetery.
Mrs. Lomax died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. A native of McEwen, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Johnson “A.J.” Curtis and Stella Robertson. Her husband, James Eugene “Gene” Lomax, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, Larry Lomax and his wife, Lena, of Dickson; daughter, Sandra Buck of McEwen; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
