James Michael Hayes
Graveside services for Mr. James Michael Hayes, 58, of Dickson, are 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Union cemetery with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating.
Mr. Hayes died Feb. 22, 2004 at NHC-Dickson. He was born May 29, 1945 in Dickson. He was a cab driver.
Survivors include his son, Leland Hayes of Franklin; brothers, Leland Keith Hayes of Linden and Jimmy Ty Hayes of Charlotte; and his sister, Nancy Kaye Conley of Talladega, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Hayes Chunn and brother, Thomas (Tom) Hayes.

Mary Frances England
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances England, 85, were Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Tidwell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Lebanon cemetery.
Mrs. England died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004 at NHC-Dickson. She was born Feb. 24, 1918. She was a homemaker and Avon representative.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katherine Dodson Cratty; husband, Felton W. “Buster” England and infant son, Ronald England.
She is survived by daughter, Carol Lynn England of Dickson and brother, Robert C. Cratty of Nashville.

Joseph “Joe” Andrew Sutton
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph “Joe” Andrew Sutton, 32 are 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. Interment icon will follow in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mr. Sutton, a native of Dickson County, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004 at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Center in Nashville. He was a general laborer with Rye’s Furniture.
Survivors include his son, Joseph Daniel Sutton of Dickson; his daughter, Amber Cheri Sutton of Dickson; his two brothers, Ricky Whitfield of Dickson and Tim Whitfield of Burns; three sisters, Terri Luther of Kingston Springs and Judi Sutton and Samantha Proctor, both of Dickson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Joe Whitfield and Shirley Elaine Hall Sutton.

Lorraine Berryman Ethridge
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorraine Berryman Ethridge, 57, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at Luff Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, Tenn. Internment will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
Mrs. Ethridge was born May 8, 1946 in Australia and lived in Humphreys County since she was 6 weeks old. She died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Donald Berryman.
Survivors include her mother, Ethel Mariea Lukin of McEwen; husband, Gary Wynn Ethridge of McEwen; son, Michael Bullington of Dickson; daughters, Sherri McClurkan of Dickson, Heather Bell of Waverly, and Joni Hornburger of Dickson; sisters, Sue Yearout and Ann Parchman both of McEwen; grandchildren, Brittany Garrett, Lauren Bell, and Beau Hornburger.

Bessie Ophelia Edmondson
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Ophelia Edmondson, 76, are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bishop Bessie Elizabeth Sadler and the Rev. Tommy Horner officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Edmondson cemetery.
Mrs. Edmondson, a native of Cumberland Furnace, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board. She was former president of the Union Choir and she was church secretary.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael C. and wife, Mary Ann Edmondson of Burns, Rex B. Edmondson, also of Burns, and Jerome R. Edmondson of Las Vegas, Nev.; three daughters, Bessie Elizabeth and husband, Jimmy Sadler of Diamond Bar, Calif., Cindy Annette and husband, Christopher Hayes, Sr. of Burns, and Tammie Vaughn Edmondson, also of Burns; one brother, Frank E. Vaughn of Burns; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gary Wayne Gentry
Funeral services for Mr. Gary Wayne Gentry, 57, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 in the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Elder S. T. Tolley officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gentry, of Dickson, died, Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Gracie Lee Alberd Gentry of Dickson; daughter, Tracey Lynn and husband Bart Correll of Charlotte; stepson, Thomas Carlton Alberd of Dickson; sister, Gail and husband, Phil Jones of Dickson; three grandchildren, Larry Welch, Dustin and Kaleb Krisle, all of Charlotte; and great-grandson, Michael Larry Welch of Charlotte.
He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Mary Gentry.

Rickey Allen Lee, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Rickey Allen Lee, Sr., 48, were 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004 in the White Bluff Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Couch officiating. Interment icon followed at Williams cemetery.
Mr. Lee, of White Bluff, was born on Nov. 19, 1955 in Dickson County. He died on Feb. 21, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was an exterminator at All State in Dickson.
Survivors include life-long companion, Verdie Ann Lee of White Bluff; two sons, Brian Douglas Kees of Fairview and Rickey Allen Lee Jr. of White Bluff; daughter, Chrissy Lynn Lee of White Bluff; three brothers, Clyde A. and wife, Betty Lee of Dickson, Jerry Wayne Lee of White Bluff, and Douglas Ray and wife, Mary Lee of Nashville; three sisters, Ethel West of White Bluff, Virginia Hall of Dickson and Sue and husband, Wayne Tidwell of Fairview; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Douglas and Mary Ruth (Anderson) Lee.

Joseph Morton McGinnis
Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Morton McGinnis, 79 were 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 in the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Sue Hutchinson officiating. Interment icon followed in Hudgins cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jesse Rayfield Waldrop, Phillip Morton Shafer, Samuel L. Shafer, Jonathan J. Shafer, Eric “Red” Davis and Micah Mueller. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Stinson, Philip S. Shafer, Jesse H. Waldrop, Joetta Tucker, Rebecca Davis, Jennifer and Amanda Shafer.
Mr. McGinnis, of Fairview, was born in Davidson County Sept. 28, 1925. He died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at his residence. He was retired from Sears Company as a mechanic-machinist. He served in the US Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1945.
Survivors include his son, Joseph Timothy McGinnis of Livingston, Ala.; daughter Reba M. and husband, Jesse Waldrop of Cumberland City, Tenn. and Geneva M. and husband, Philip Shafer of Fairview; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, James T. and Amanda Willis McGinnis; wife, Lillie Pearl Stinson McGinnis, brothers, Paul William, James “Jay bird” Woodard, Henry H. McGinnis, and sisters, Gilda Sue Carney and Nell Davis Graves.

Edna Peeler Sullivan
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Peeler Sullivan, 87, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mrs. Peeler, a homemaker, born in Dickson County, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She was a retired pocket setter for the former Red Cap Garment Company where she worked for 13 years. She was a member of Oak Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Sullivan of Fayetteville, N.C. and Ralph Sullivan of Erin; one daughter, Lila Meek of Dickson; two sisters, Lula Wright also of Dickson; and Barbara Cassel of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; two brothers, Shannon Peeler of Dickson and Bill Peeler of Eugallie, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvel Clark Sullivan and her parents, Winfrey W. and Maude Marie Vineyard Peeler.

Jewell Lucille Sullivan
Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Lucille Sullivan, 85, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home in Fairview, Tenn. with Dr. Bill Sherman officiating. Interment icon followed in Hudgins cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan of Hermitage, Tenn., was born Oct. 16, 1918 in Williamson County. She died Feb. 21, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was retired from Dalton Clothing Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean and husband Richard Mooney Wilson of Hermitage, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Barbara Taylor of Springfield, Tenn.; brother, Buford Jones of Arizona; sister, Trula Walker of Arizona.; grandchild, Deborah and husband Michael Stephens of Xenia, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Steve Stringer of Springfield, and Mark Stringer of Cross Plains, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Stephens of Xenia, Ohio; step great-grandchildren, Meg and Sheldon Stringer of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by husband, L.D. Sullivan and parents, Leonard and Clara Hudgins Jones.

Dorothy Mae Wheeling von Dohlen
Dorothy Mae Wheeling von Dohlen, 86, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 at National Health Care Center in Dickson after a long illness. Born in Roanoke, Va., she was the youngest of four siblings. She was retired from the Charleston County RMC Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., the Love and Peach Sunday School Class, Milcah Temple No. 77, Daughters of the Nile, the Omar Shrine Temple AAONMS, the Order of the Eastern Star, Alhambra Chapter No. 66 of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and for many years active in the DeMolay Mother’s Club.
Survivors include her son, Gus von Dohlen of Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William August von Dohlen, her mother, Maggie Miles Wheeling, her father, Kyle Wheeling and her siblings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Saint Thomas Hospital Foundation, 4220 Harding Road, Nashville, Tenn. Her remains were cremated. Memorial services are yet to be determined.

Lewis N. Windsor
Funeral services for Mr. Lewis N. Windsor, 83, were 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at Nave Funeral Home Chapel in Erin, Tenn. with Bro. Willis Castile officiating. Interment icon followed in the Gorman cemetery in Humphreys County.
Pallbearers were Shannon Knowland, Anthony Neblett Floyd Bryant, Michael Bowker, Joseph Hildreth and Tim Parrott.
Mr. Windsor, of Dickson, was born in Stewart County May 29, 1920. He died Feb. 3, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a Mill Wright. He was the son of the late Louis and Lillian Parrott Windsor.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Pruett Windsor of Dickson; son, Mathew Lewis of Rector, Arkansas; daughters, Peggie Neblett of Dickson, Linda Lemaster of Chattanooga, Sheila Williams and Shannon Knowland, both of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Nancy Jones of Belleville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
