Orena Nadine Jones Gilliam
Funeral services for Mrs. Orena Nadine (Dean) Jones Gilliam, 64, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Edgar Beard officiating. Her remains were cremated.
Mrs. Gilliam, born to Whit Dean and Tulsa Orena Wright Jones in Waynesboro, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth D. Gilliam of Dickson; three daughters, Lynn Lewis of Dickson, Elaine Pase of New York and Janice Rowe of Fairview; two brothers, Buford Jones of Laager and David Jones of Maitland, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Whit Dean and Tulsa Orena Wright Jones.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Diabetes Association.

Maggie Myatt
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Rebecca “Maggie” Myatt, 100, are 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Thad Collier officiating. Interment icon will follow in Union cemetery in Dickson.
Mrs. Myatt, a native of Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late John and Autensie Whited Myatt. She died May 26, 2004 in Mayfield Nursing Home in Smyrna.
She was married to Cecil Myatt, who preceded her in death. They resided for many years in Cleveland, Ohio, but moved to Madison after Mr. Myatt’s retirement. She maintained her residence there until the time of her death. She was a member of the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, J. Calvin Myatt and a granddaughter, Cheryl Myatt.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Berle and Donna Myatt of Tullahoma and Gerald “Jerry” and Laurel Myatt of North Royalton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Faith Myatt of Encinitas, Calif.; grandchildren, Richard Myatt, Gerald Myatt, Marilyn Cheatham, Jeffery Myatt, Linda Collier, David Myatt and Duane Myatt; 21 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Local nieces and nephews include Irma Cotton, Warren Noland and John B. Noland, all of Dickson.

Edward Willie Sik
Funeral services for Mr. Edward Willie Sik, 79, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment icon will follow in Union cemetery.
Mr. Sik of Dickson died Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville.
Survivors include his son, Gary Sik and wife, Rita, of Dickson; brother, Emmit Sik of Pipestone, Minn.; grandchildren, Lisa Wright of Dickson and Teresa Stringfield of White Bluff; great-grandchildren, Courtney Wright and Justin Wright of Dickson and Kayla Wright of White Bluff.

J. T. Williams
Funeral services for Mr. J. T. Williams, 77, were 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel in Clarksville with Rev. Karen Barrineua officiating. Interment icon followed in Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Williams of Clarksville was born in Slayden August 3, 1926. He died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
He was the son of the late Hiram Williams and Bessie Allen Bryant Williams. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Odd Fellows Lodge and a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He was a retired teamster and Dispatcher for Montgomery County.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Holloway Williams; sons, Michael Williams, Mark Williams and Chris Williams, all of Clarksville; sisters, Mary Croxdale of Memphis and Evelyn Reed of Nashville; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Cayce Harold Anderson
Funeral services for Mr. Cayce Harold Anderson, 68, are 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Entombment follows in Dickson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mr. Anderson, a native of Hickman County and a self-employed roofer, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Paul Saurborn of Kouts, Ind.; nieces and nephews, Cheryl DeLoach and Regina Tatum of Dickson, Carol Joslin, Nancy Moss and Wade Deal of White Bluff, Roger Saurborn and Robyn Stanley of Indiana; and very special niece, Kimberly Estes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Peeler Anderson; two sisters, Martha Davidson and Margaret Parks; and brothers, James E. Anderson and Williams Anderson.

Clifford Batey
Funeral services for Clifford Batey, 90 were 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Robert Cullom officiating. Interment icon followed in St. Paul cemetery.
Mr. Batey, son of the late Lee and Nola Hayes Batey, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Dickson County, he was a farmer. He was a member of Water Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Bell Sensing Batey of Charlotte; son, Tim Batey and his wife, Pat, of North Bethesda, Md.; three brothers, Leon Batey of Illinois, Russell Batey of Florida and Robert Batey of Charlotte; three sisters, Bessie McQuigly of Illinois, Nettie Mae Hayes of Charlotte and Lina Bell Matheny of Dickson; three grandchildren, Andrea Golden, Jennifer Golden and Kathy Panzone and husband, Dennis.

James Grisham
Funeral services for Mr. James E. (Jim) Grisham, 65, were noon Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis with Rev. Bill Beavers officiating. Interment icon followed in Memorial Park Southwoods cemetery in Memphis.
Mr. Grisham of Memphis, formerly of Dickson, was born in Baldwyn, Miss., June 18, 1938. He died Sunday, May 23, 2004 in Iuka, Miss. He was a Methodist minister for 26 years and a funeral director/manager at Dickson Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Barns Grisham of Memphis; sons, Joey Grisham of Columbia, Miss., and Patrick Grisham of Cordova; brothers, Bud Grisham of Baldwyn, Miss., and Bobby Grisham of Booneville, Miss.; sisters, JoAnne Wingo of Olive Branch, Miss., and Mary Prather and Doris Lee, both of Clinton, Miss.

Jeanette Guess
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Guess, 57, were 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in Union cemetery.
Mrs. Guess of Burns died Monday, May 24, 2004 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Guess of Burns; mother, Maxine Graham of Burns; son, Jon Dysinger of Highpoint, N.C.; daughters, Brooke DeAnna Guess of White Bluff and Lisa Diane Wells of Asheville, N.C.; sisters, Sheila Freeman, Regina Bradley and Lisa Lineberry, all of Nashville; and grandchildren, Dylan Wells, Tyler Wells and Graham Dysinger.

Huldah Martin Larkins Moore
Funeral services for Mrs. Huldah Martin Larkins Moore, 85, were 4 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Steve Baggett and Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating.
Mrs. Moore, the daughter of the late Orvill and Dora Epps Martin, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. She was a former employee of Henry I. Siegel Garment Factory, Schrader’s and was currently a 15-year employee of Wal-Mart. A native of Dickson County, she was a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Morris Larkins of Crestview, Fla.; daughter, Linda Larkins Sutton of Dickson; stepdaughter, Ella McGill of Bellevue; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Barbara Jean Fitzgerald Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Fitzgerald Smith, 70, were 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Interment icon followed in Hilltop cemetery in Hickman County.
Mrs. Smith, the daughter of the late William Edward and Effie Mae Potts Fitzgerald, died Monday, May 24, 2004 at her home. Smith of College Grove was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was a native of Maury County.
Survivors include her brother, Max Fitzgerald of Nashville; sister, Jackie Smithson of College Grove; several nieces and nephews; and aunt, Ruby Tatum of Lyles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Smith; and daughter, Saurie Smith.

Dorothy Whited Walker
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Whited Walker, 69, were noon Thursday, May 27, 2004 at First Baptist Church in White Bluff with Bro. Reece Cochran officiating. Interment icon followed in Middle Tennessee Veterans cemetery in Pegram at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27. Arrangements were handled by the White Bluff Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Walker of White Bluff was born in Cheatham County June 23, 1934. She died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was a homemaker.
Survivors included her husband, John Walker of White Bluff; sons, Samuel Whited of Las Vegas, Nev., Joseph Whited of White Bluff, Johnny Whited of Pegram and Kevin Whited of Lobelville; stepson, John Walker Jr. of White Bluff; daughters, Pauline Bumbalough of White Bluff, Sarah Whited Jackson of White Bluff and Paidy Smith of Dickson; step-daughter, Cindy King of Oak Hill, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nettie Green Jenkins.

Josephine Foster Baker
Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Foster Baker, 80, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Daniel Carr officiating. Interment icon follows in Southerland cemetery.
Mrs. Baker, a homemaker, died Sunday, May 23 in Centerville Health Care in Centerville. She was a member of Water Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Baker of Burns; daughters, Wanda Jones of Antioch and Betty Springer of Centerville; brother, J.B. Foster of Franklin; sister, Lorena Jacks of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Preston Baker; and parents, Jerry and Clara Allen Foster.

Linda Porter Berard
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Porter Berard, 64, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Pond Presbyterian Church with Rev. Paul Picard and Rev. Gary French officiating. Interment icon will follow in Dickson Union cemetery. Services are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson.
Mrs. Berard, born in Davidson County to Ruby McLerran Porter and the late Leonard Porter, died Saturday, May 22 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. She was an employee of Dickson County Developmental Services. She was a member of Pond Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina L. Berard of Birmingham, Ala.; mother, Ruby McLerran Porter of Dickson; and brothers, Richard Porter of Dickson and Noel Porter of Zion, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pond Presbyterian Church.
